Hello

Image
I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas, we had a very busy but good one!  I am back today with another clean and simple card.  This has really become my favorite style of card lately, especially with lots of crisp white! I used the Create with Connie and Mary color challenge that is still going on for my inspiration. I love these three colors together, a perfect recipe for a CAS card! I did a little stamping and a little die cutting to create this clean look.  The stamp from the new Sale-a-bration set HELLO was a perfect match to the GREETINGS THINLITS .  I also added a little bit of the WINTER WONDERLAND VELLUM STACK , love the stripes under the sentiment! And as you already know, sequins are always a great compliment on a crisp card so there are two gold ones added to this one.  I even added a couple to the envelope, couldn't help myself! As we wind down 2015 we have lots of new products to look forward to in 2016!  The Occasions Catalog and Sale-a-bration will begin on Januar

All About Sale-a-bration!

Welcome to another Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop!  This week we are featuring SALE-A-BRATION products! The SKY IS THE LIMIT stamp set was sitting on my desk, so I used it for today with a clean and simple design. Isn't this the perfect example of a crisp and clean card!  Lots of white with a thick white card base and a layer of Whisper White popped up on dimensionals. I punched a couple of clouds with the TREE BUILDER PUNCH and the new PERFECTLY ARTISTIC designer paper in the Sale-a-bration catalog. It's a set of beautiful marbled watercolor-like papers that are just gorgeous...a real must have!  I also snuck in a sentiment from another SAB set called HELLO.  The "congratulations" came from SKY IS THE LIMIT then I added in "my friend" from HELLO.....they work perfectly together! I have listed my supplies below so you can recreate this card when your SAB goodies arrive! SUPPLIES: STAMPS:  Sky is the Limit, Hello INKS:   Archival Black PAPER:

Pyramid Pals

Image
The new Occasions Catalog is just FULL. OF. GOODNESS!  I am so happy that I can start creating with new products and honestly I don't know where to start!!  Since Christmas is just a few days away, I went with a Christmas idea I had for a new set of thinlits called PYRAMID PALS. Are these just too cute or what!!!  The PYRAMID PALS THINLITS have a coordinating stamp set that you can purchase as a bundle and save 15%...woo hoo! Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer was the first idea to come to mind and is simple to make.  To make the pyramid you need just a half sheet of cardstock cut at 5 1/2" x 8 1/2".  I cut out 2 pieces of the pyramid and assembled it leaving one side open to add goodies.  His face was super easy to create as well, the mouth was done with a stamp from the coordinating set PLAYFUL PALS and the eyes and nose are done with the circles from the OWL BUILDER PUNCH. I made his face on the front and had the back be the side that opens up.  His antlers are part of the

Holly Jolly Greetings

I've gone clean and simple today with a card featuring the HOLLY JOLLY GREETINGS BUNDLE. Sometimes simple is just the way to go! For inspiration, I used the color challenge from Create with Connie and Mary . They have a two week color challenge that I just couldn't resist!  I am really into using unusual colors for Christmas and Basic Black is one of my favorites to use. Even though the card is simple it still has sparkle and shine!  I heat embossed the snowflake for some shine.  Then I added in a gold glimmer paper die cut for some sparkle.  I also added in a few random gold sequins because as you know I believe sequins make everything look better!  And that's it!  An easy peasy but still happy and sparkly Christmas card! Candy Cane Treats

Image
I've got a quick treat for you today that is easy and FUN!  It also gives another use for the MINI TREAT BAG THINLIT. I told you these were fun!  This is a great way to give a small gift to teachers, mail carriers, etc. I used the smaller die from the treat bag and cut out two to adhere together to create the pocket for the candy cane.  To make it a little fancier, I cut a 2" x 6" piece of Whisper White and punched a tag at the top with the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch. This long tag is a great place to write "to and from" for your gift.  It also secures the candy cane in the pocket.  I used a couple of glue dots to adhere the candy cane to the tag and added gold ribbon to the top. If you are looking for a treat idea, this is the way to go!  There are so many ways to embellish and lots of great designer paper patterns to choose from! Your Presents

Welcome to another Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop!  This week we are featuring Christmas GIFT CARD HOLDERS! I went with a fun and easy holder made from a TREAT BAG . The vellum polka dot bag is perfect for Christmas!  I just added a belly band and embellishments. First, score the bag 3" up from the bottom.  Fold the bag over and now you have two pockets!  I added a belly band in place of adhesive to the bag.  You want your gift card to fit in the pocket created by folding the bag over. I embellished the belly band with a fun gift using YOUR PRESENTS and the BOW BUILDER PUNCH .  Cucumber Crush was the perfect green to pair with Real Red for Christmas! The card insert for the holder was just as simple!  The Real Red was cut 4" x 4 1/2" to fit into the top of the bag.  I added a present to it as well.  I wanted the sentiment to be just as bold as the present, so I went with the "Merry Christmas" from MERRY EVERYTHING .  I also added in a little e
