Dressed Up Pop Up Card

Image
I have another Pop 'n Cuts card to share today.  This time I used it the traditional way for a Dressed Up card.  I used Blushing Bride and Crumb Cake again, it's such a beautiful combination. Blooming with Kindness is the stamp set used for this card.  Here's what I did. 1.  Cut Blushing Bride card stock with Pop 'n Cuts base.  Also cut a dress form insert for inside the card, used Blushing Bride card stock for that as well. 2.  Die cut 2 dress forms from Crumb Cake card stock and stamped them both with the flower in Blushing Bride ink. 3.  The front of the card has a large doily that was in my daughter's stash of craft goodies.  I added a die cut from Apothecary Accents Framelits in Whisper White stamped with Blushing Bride flowers. Added tafetta ribbon and pearls to the dress and adhered it to the Apothecary die cut. 4.  The inside has several layers of paper, let me show you. The Pop 'n Cuts insert has  a scalloped bottom edge that I ...

I hope everyone has a wonderful Memorial Day.  A huge thank you to all the men and women that serve in the military to protect out country, we appreciate all you do!   It's Monday and time for a new sketch for the Monday Lunchtime Sketch Challenge with Technostamper.  Here is this week's sketch. I haven't use my Dress Up framelits since I got my new catalog preview items, so I pulled them out for this week's card.  I still used new items, couldn't help myself!! Here's what I came up with. The card base is the new In Color Baked Brown Sugar.  I added a strip of the printed window sheet from the Quatrefancy Specialty DSP.  A piece of the new Crisp Cantaloupe was embossed with the Modern Mosaic EF and adhered over the specialty window sheet.  I was careful to place ahdesive on the window sheet so that it was hidden by the Crisp Cantaloupe CS.  The dress form was die cut out of Crumb Cake CS and I stamped a mosaic pattern from Modern Mosaic on it....

Happy Mother's Day!

Image
A big Happy Mother's Day everyone!!  I hope you enjoy today with your loved ones!  I have a card to share that is a re-visit of previous cards that can be seen HERE and HERE .  This card uses the Dress Up Framelits and is a simple, clean layout. I really love this layout.  It's simple and clean with some fun elements.  One of my favorite elements is the paper piercing around the dress form. The dress form was cut from Crumb Cake and stamped with the large flourish stamp from Always Elegant.  Pink Taffeta ribbon and pearls complete the dress. The bottom of the card has needlepoint embossing below the strip of DSP.  The greeting is stamped directly on the DSP using Soft Suede ink.  I just love this layout, I am sure it will be re-visited again! Have a very Happy Mother's Day!!  See you tomorrow for a new Monday Lunchtime Sketch Challenge! If it doesn't move...stamp it!! Nicole Tugrul Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator

A Dressy Little Favor

Image
Today I've got a cute little party favor to share with you.  I have seen lots of great examples of these floating around.  I am finally getting around to trying one thanks to Fran Kennedy's tutorial .   It was easy peasy to make.  Here's my version. I used Pretty in Pink CS embossed with the Lacy Brocade EF.  I added in some retired organza ribbon and some pearls to embellish the dress a bit.  I am going to put some chocolate miniatures in the center as a party favor.  These are super fun to make, so many ways this can be used! I will be trying out some other designs to show you in the future and come up with some ideas for goodies to put inside.  Check out Fran's tutorial, just click on her name at the beginning of the post. Thanks for stopping by!! If it doesn't move...stamp it! Nicole Tugrul Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator The Retiring Lists are Here!! It's that time of year, the exciting time where we hurry to buy retiring products and ...

A Soft and Pretty Bridal Shower Pop Up

Image
Today I have a card to share that I for a bridal shower.  I wanted a Wow factor so I made a pop up card.  I also wanted it to match the invitation that my Mother-In-Law received so I used Pool Party and Pink Pirouette.  Here's the front of the card. The base card is Pool Party embossed with the Elegant Lines EF, it has a soft bridal look to me.  I added in pearls all over the card and a greeting.  The greeting "for your shower" is from Teeny Tiny Wishes.  It was stamped with Pool Party, punched with the large oval punch, then layered onto Pool Party punched with the Scallop Oval Punch.  A couple pearls under the greeting, and the front is complete.  Onto the inside. The inside pop up portion is from the retired Pool Party Designer Paper Pack.  I loved the soft look it gave the inside of the card.  It also allows the dress to stand out more. The dress is done in Whisper White with Lacy Brocade embossing.  A pearl necklace and a Prett...

A Turquoise Birthday

Image
Today's share is the re-visited card that I had originally planed for yesterday.  I had made a card for my Sister-In-Law's birthday for the CCMC247 this week , BUT I ended up doing a new card.  I found a great reusable shopping bag that I wanted to use as a gift bag, but it did not match the card AT ALL!  I don't know about all of you, but I try to match my cards to the gift bags.  So, I ended up doing a new card similar to the original, but matching the bag.  Here's the pattern of the bag.   And here is the card I made to match the bag. I matched the bag using Tempting Turquoise and Chocolate Chip cs.  I added in the Vintage Wallpaper EF on the base card to mimic the design on the bag.  I kept the basic layout of the card sketch from CCMC247 but did a regular size card instead of a square card.   The dress form has a design from last year's SAB set Bliss stamped to mimic the bag also.  I added in a retired Tempting Turquoise gros...

Thursday Create with Connie and Mary Challenge

Image
It's hard to believe it's Thursday already! Time for another Thursday Challenge for Create with Connie and Mary .  This week is a sketch challenge that was fun to work with.  I don't do square cards very often, so this was quite refreshing!  I actually needed to do a birthday card for my Sister-in-Law so this sketch came at the right time.  I am loving the Dress Up Framelits and wanted a WOW card for her, so here's what I came up with. The card base and accents are in Basic Black.  I embossed a strip of the black with one of the Delicate Designs EF to add the scalloped detail along the side.  I layered Razzleberry polka dot DSP in a couple places, the base of the card and under the dress.  I liked the smaller polka dot side, more drama!  The dress form was die cut in black to bring out the Silver Glimmer paper.  I added bling to the dress with rhinestone gems and Razzleberry flowers using the Itty Bitty Shapes punch pack.  The final elem...

A Dressy Birthday

Image
Today I have another Pop 'n Cuts card to share.  This one features the Dress Up Framelits on the outside and the Pop 'n Cuts inside.  Here is the front of the card. I used Melon Mambo as my card base, embossed with the Fancy Fan EF.  I added a doily (can you tell I like to use those doilies?) and a dress form.  The dress I added uses the green polka dot paper from Sunshine and Sprinkles DSP in the Spring Catalog.  I added Daffodil Delight 1/8" Taffeta Ribbon as a belt for a splash of color.  The birthday greeting is from Itty Bitty Banners cut with the matching framelits. Now on to the inside. The inside has DSP from Nursery Nest as the part that was cut with the Pop 'n Cut die.  I cut down the dress form portion of the pop up so I could use a doily and a greeting as my pop up feature. The greeting was printed using My Digital Studio 2+ .  I just got it so I am slowly figuring it out.  It's a great deal though at the new lowered price of $19...

See it Again Saturday

Image
Hello! Welcome to See it Again Saturday!!  This week's layout re-visit is the layout from yesterday.  When I made the French Twist card with Soft Sky and loved the simplicity of it, I decided to make another card.  For my re-visit with the layout I used the Dress Up Framelits. I really loved the look of Pretty in Pink with Soft Sky, so I used that as my accent color.  The dress frame is very lightly stamped with a Secret Garden flower in Crumb cake. I tied Pretty in Pink taffeta ribbon around the waste and added a pearl necklace.  I added paper piercing around the top of the dress model in a half oval like yesterday's card, but added a different embossed edge.  I used the cross stitch embossing folder underneath the DSP this time. The greeting is stamped with Early Espresso and a punched flower with a pearl added next to it.  And that's it for this simple layout re-make.  I love how it turned out, this dress frame is so fun to work with.  I w...

All Dressed Up

Image
I am so excited because I FINALLY got to try out my new Dress Up Framelits!!  I have seen so many wonderful creations done with these framelits and have really been wanting to get my hands on them!!  I started out with a simple, yet elegant design that I saw done by Chiaki Haverstick.  She did just a simple dress form and some floral accents.  You can see her card HERE .  This is my CASE of her design. I used one of the flowers from Secret Garden to stamp in Soft Suede on Whisper White CS.  I stamped three times for each inking to get the variations in color.  I also stamped on the Crumb Cake dress model with the same flower.  I added in Pear Pizazz Seam Binding that I found on the clearance rack and a Pear Pizazz flower under the greeting.  A simple yet elegant card...LOVE IT! Thank you Chiaki for the the beautiful design!  I loved it so much that I made another of this design with Cherry Cobbler Seam Binding and then made three more wi...
