Make a Wish!

Image
Welcome!  It's Monday and time for a new sketch challenge from Technostamper.  As always Mary Jo has a fun and fabulous sketch for us! I built my card off the Fresh Prints Paper Pack, I just love the combo of Coastal Cabana and Baked Brown Sugar. Isn't this just too fun!!  As soon as I saw the three banners, I knew that "make a wish" from Perfect Pennants was the way to go. Each word was inked and stamped individually then die cut with the banner framelit from the Circle Card Thinlets.  The left end was snipped and each was matted with card stock to match the ink. The second focal point is the cupcake.  The bottom of the cupcake was stamped with Baked Brown Sugar on the matching card stock.  I used the Create a Cupcake stamp set and matching punch.  For a little splash of color, I added in a Strawberry Slush cherry for the top of the cupcake.  The last touch, and my favorite, is the gold sequin trim.  The bit of bling really finished off the ...

A Birthday Card for TSSC292

Happy Monday!  Time for a change of pace with today's Monday Lunchtime Sketch Challenge.  First let me show you today's sketch from Mary Jo at Technostamper. Since I have been doing a bunch of Christmas cards lately, I decided to change things up a little and do a birthday card.  Here's what I came up with. Isn't this a really cheerful birthday card?  I am still loving Bermuda Bay so I used that as my card base.  I added Birthday Basics DSP and colors that coordinated.  The Deco Label Framelit is Pink Pirouette and the cupcake is Smokey Slate and Primrose Petals.  The greeting from Express Yourself (hostess set) is stamped with Basic Gray.  I just love the way the colors blended, what a fun birthday card! This was such a great challenge, I hope you will join me!  You can see cards made by other members of the design team by clicking on the links below.  Go to Technostamper to find out more about participating and to lin...

See it Again Saturday: A Cupcake Birthday

Image
Saturday sure came quick this week!! Today I've got a cupcake card to share that is a repeat layout from a post I did in January.  You can see the original post HERE .  I kept the same layout, just changed up the colors and papers. And here is the original card I repeated.   I wanted my repeat layout to be brighter and girly.  I used pastels and I really love the way it looks!  The DSP is the one for the Build-a-Bear clothes.  The floral paper and yellow gingham just look great together.  The card base is embossed with Perfect Polka Dot EF, I love the polka dots with the pastel colors.  I added in Pretty in Pink Taffeta ribbon and the flowers are from the Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack.  I just love this layout, I have a feeling you will see it again in the future! Thanks for stopping by for See It Again Saturday!  Have a great day and be sure to check back for more card samples!! If it doesn't move...stamp it!! Nicole Tugrul Independent S...

A Cupcake Birthday

Image
I am taking a break today from Sale-a-bration cards and sharing a birthday card instead.  I haven't used Create a Cupcake in awhile so I brought it out for this card.  I used retired DSP, but the new ribbon and buttons from the Sale-a-bration catalog matched so I added those in.  The card base is embossed with the Stripes Embossing Folder, this poor embossing folder has been seriously neglected ever since the new Honeycomb and Cloudy Day Embossing folders came out!  I used Poppy Parade retired card stock for the cherry on the cupcake and the greeting as it was the color of the cherry on the DSP too.  The top of the cupcake is Pool Party to match the DSP also.  I liked this layout so much I ended up making a cute get well card with Patterned Occasions from Sale-a-bration that I will be sharing tomorrow. Here are the products featured in today's card. Create a Cupcake (wm) 121915  (cm) 121892 Cupcake Builder Punch 121807 Stripes Embossing Folder 123128 S...
