How About More Sprinkles?

Image
I am anxiously awaiting my new stamps and can't wait to show them off to you soon!!!  In the meantime, how about a few more sprinkles??  I can't say enough good things about this year's Ronald McDonald House Charities stamp set.  Stampin' Up! really did a great job with Sprinkles of Life and it's for such a great cause.  I hope that all of my fun cards with cupcakes and ice cream persuade you to buy this set and matching punch to support RMHC!  OK...enough talk, let's look at today's card with lots of sprinkles! Isn't this fun!!!  Not only do the scoops of ice cream have sprinkles, but this pattern of paper from the Cherry on Top stack kinda looks like them too!  I got the inspiration for this card from the sketch challenge this week at Try Stampin' - or not - on Tuesday. I varied my card from the design a little.  I flipped the sketch to be upright them pictured the circles as an ice cream cone with three scoops!!  That's what's so fun about...

Chalkboard Wishes

Image
The new catalog is just one week away, I hope you've been enjoying all of the samples with upcoming stamp sets!  Today's card features Friendly Wishes, a great new set of bold sentiments. I used the sketch from Try Stampin' -or not- on Tuesday for my inspiration. Starting out, I knew I wanted to go with the chalkboard look, so I chose bold colors including black. This card has a little bit of everything!  Designer paper, washi tape and sequins (of course!)  I love Bermuda Bay with Basic Black so I started there.  The striped paper I picked is from Stacked with Love Designer Series Paper in the Occasions Catalog.  It and the chalkboard paper I used are only here for one more week, so get some before they're gone! The sentiment is Whisper White craft ink on a banner die cut from chalkboard paper.  As I've said before LET. IT. DRY. WELL.  I stamped this first and let is sit while I worked on the rest of the card, then I let it sit some more just to be su...

Painted Thank You

Image
Painted Petals is such a beautiful stamp set, I thought I share a pretty card with it today.  There's a great sketch challenge at Try Stampin' -or not- on Tuesday that was perfect for what I had in mind. As soon as I saw this sketch, I thought about small flowers in place of the stars. I just love the colors on this card!!  Crisp Cantaloupe is leaving us soon so I had to use it combined with Calypso Coral and Wild Wasabi.  Crumb Cake wood paneling makes a perfect background for this gorgeous trio of colors. The flowers on the panel are made lighter by stamping off once, makes the Calypso Coral sentiment and flowers stand out all the more. If you are in need of a soft and pretty thank you card, I hope you are inspired to use Painted Petals!  While you're at it, why not join the challenge with us??  Just go to Try Stampin' for all the details and more great samples from the Design Team. Thanks for hanging out with me today!  See you next time! SHOP anytim...

Yee-Haw Take Two!

Image
How about another fun cowboy card today??  The sketch for Try Stampin' on Tuesday was just perfect for another take on the fun set Yee-haw.  But before I get ahead of myself, let's look at the sketch. Now I know this may not scream Yee-Haw to you, but here's what I saw.  The arrows would turn into barbed wire and the sentiment at the bottom was perfect for the lasso...can you see it with me?? How about I just show you the finished card and see if you love it like I do!  Is this fun or what?!  I kept with the same colors as the first Yee-Haw card I shared with you.  I love the bold look of Baked Brown Sugar with Marina Mist, Night of Navy, Wild Wasabi and Hello Honey. The card base has the oh so important barbed wire in place of the arrows and a center panel that acts like a tree with its wood grain embossing. A bold sentiment and a couple of little extras make this a rootin' tootin' fun card!  Speaking of fun, how about have a little fun stamping wi...

Shake it Up Part Two!

Image
As promised I am back with another bold shaker card.  This one uses the sketch from Try Stampin' on Tuesday.   As with the first shaker card, I went bold with black and white plus a splash of color. Isn't this just too much fun!!  I simply LOVE the March My Paper Pumpkin so I thought why not make a shaker??!!  What got me thinking about it was the fun little epoxy stickers.  As you can probably tell, the card doesn't just use the one paper pumpkin.  I actually took from the All Shook Up December 2014 My Paper Paper Pumpkin.  The sequins in the kit went perfect with the Pool Party epoxy sticker.  I also used the dimensional strips to form the shaker.  Guess where I pulled the shaker portion from??  Hello Life Project Kit!!  They have great chalkboard frames in the kit that were just right for this card. The "Thank" is heat embossed in white to stand out.  I could have used white craft ink, but it would take awhile to dry ...

Cheerful Birthday

Image
Today I have a cute little Cheerful Critters card to share for the Sketch Challenge at Try Stampin' on Tuesday.   First, let's look at the sketch for this week. I pulled out the Birthday Bash Designer Series Paper for color inspiration and came up with this fun card. With this particular design, I thought a little critter would be cute sitting on the paper.  I love the bold bright colors from Birthday Bash DSP and focused in on the yellows.  The chic is a perfect fit colored with Daffodil Delight and Calypso Coral. For the sentiment, I pulled a greeting from a past My Paper Pumpkin.  Stamped in Bermuda Bay it coordinates well with the designer paper. This card was quick and easy, just what I like!!  Now it's your turn to try out this week's sketch.  Just go to Try Stampin' on Tuesday for all the details plus more great samples from the Design Team. Thanks so much for visiting!! Happy Stamping! Follow my blog with Bloglovin

Hello, How are You?

Image
Today I have another card to share that makes me think of Spring.  My inspiration is this week's Try Stampin' on Tuesday sketch challenge.  Here's a look at the great sketch we have to work with. And here's a look at my card featuring the hostess set Because You Care. Doesn't this card just scream SPRING to you??  It does for me!  What does it is the AWESOME Irresistibly Yours Designer Series Paper that is FREE in the Sale-a-bration catalog.  The embossed images magically appear when you add color and make for the most beautiful paper! Here's a closer look at the focal point.  You can get a better look at the paper now and see that I sponged color on so it's not perfectly even all over.  There are lighter areas and darker areas which I think adds to the charm.   I used Blushing Bride and just applied the ink directly to the paper in a swirling motion with a small sponge wedge.  It goes on really easy and took no time to cover all of the...

Celebrate Today!!

Image
Today I have a fun birthday card to share using the new set Celebrate Today.  I sooooo love this set and matching framelits!!  The possibilities are endless, so I knew it was the set to use for the sketch this week at Try Stampin' on Tuesday . I pondered this one a little, then decided to go with three images in descending order. I started out with the Best Year Ever designer paper from the Sale-a-bration catalog for my color inspiration.  I brought out the colors from this chevron style design in the balloon, sentiment and ribbon. First I made the balloon with the coordinating die cut and added a banner stamped in Coastal Cabana.  The sentiment was stamped next to the balloon with Coastal Cabana ink as well.  I love that the photopolymer allows me to stack the words and get perfect placement!  Lastly, I added in the ribbon from Sale-a-bration and a few bits of bling.  A bow from the Mini Treat Bag Thinlet set went along the bottom of the balloon and a...
