With Father's Day fast approaching, I have been working on cards for the men in my life.  I bet you can guess my go to set for masculine cards..... yep....Guy Greetings! I was one happy camper when this set showed up in the Occasions Catalog and even happier now that it's going into the new Annual Catalog!  You can do something for every guy in your life, it's really got a little bit of everything!  My hubby is a carpenter by trade so the tools in this set were a no brainer for his card this year.  My inspiration???  Well, Create with Connie and Mary has a great color challenge going so that's where I started. When the new In Colors were revealed, I started something new to help with color inspiration.  I punched circles for all the color families so I can sit down and put together great new combinations.  I have been taking pictures of the circles next to my cards whether new colors or old to show them off better.  So, here's today's colors with...

I have a fun little set of 3 x 3 cards made with the new set Guy Greetings to share today.  I've had this set out for the last week and a half and I must say I've really enjoyed stamping with it!  I made an exclusive card set for the Spring Collection 2015 that I am really pleased with!  Creating masculine cards can be intimidating but not with this set...it came easy.  If you aren't a subscriber yet, you can find all the details about the collection at Create with Connie and Mary. Now, on to the super fun set of 3 x 3 cards that I have for you today.  I have been doing lots of these little guys lately, they are so quick and easy to make!  For this set, I paired Guy Greetings with Typeset Designer Paper and kept it simple. Yep, I said simple!  It's just Basic Black and Very Vanilla.  Guy Greetings has a vintage feel, so it's perfect with these colors and the Typeset Designer Paper.  I've done close ups of each card so you can see more detail...

Guy Greetings for CCMC340

It's Thursday and time for a challenge from Create with Connie and Mary .  This week is a color challenge using Basic Gray, Lost Lagoon, and Sahara Sand. These colors are perfect for a masculine card, so I pulled out the new set Guy Greetings and made a birthday card for my Father-in-Law. This was such a fun card to create, I used one of the stamps from Best Year Ever to make a really fun sentiment. I stamped the "Best.Day.Ever." sentiment on Very Vanilla then die cut it with a Banner Framelit.  Next, I stamped "Father" from Guy Greetings with Basic Gray on Lost Lagoon and die cut it with a banner from the Circle Flip Card Thinlet set.  It fit perfect over "Day." and made a new sentiment! The card came together quickly once the sentiment was taken care of.  I used a Sahara Sand card base with a layer of Basic Gray then a layer of designer paper from the Adventure Bound paper stack.  I stamped "Hats off to you" along the bottom of the designer...
