You're My Hero for TSSC276

Image
It's Monday and time for a new Lunchtime Sketch Challenge!  This week we have another great sketch to work with from Mary Jo, take a look. I made a very bright and fun card for the sketch using You're My Hero. Isn't this a great card for a little boy!  I love the bright and bold colors that make the car stamped in black really stand out.  I used Daffodil Delight for my card base with three colors of Polka Dot Parade DSP added.  The car is stamped with Black StazOn ink on Whisper White card stock and colored with a blender pen and ink pads.  This was a really fun card and it came together so easily with this great sketch to follow! You can see cards made by other members of the design team by clicking on the links below.  I hope you will play along with the sketch challenge this week, just go to Technostamper to find out more and to link up your card! You're My Hero....Again!

Image
Okay, I have really been loving this cute little set!  I have yet another card to share today using You're My Hero.  I incorporated hexagons in this one and I also used a photopolymer stamp.  Here's the details: 1.  Decided I wanted a clean, modern looking card so I picked Whisper White for my base card. 2.  Stamped the car on Whisper White and colored it with markers and a blender pen.  Cut it out. 3.  Punched three hexagons from Real Red Polka Dot Parade DSP and added them to my card.  Adhered car with dimensional over the hexagons. 4.  Cut two banner pieces from Polka Dot Parade DSP.  The banner end is made using the hexagon punch.  I added them to my card after stamping weee-ooo on the Daffodil Delight piece. 5.  Stamped Happy Birthday with StazOn Black above the banners and stamped the arrow from Designer Typeset. That's it!  Quick, clean, and simple!  Thanks for stopping by, tomorrow I have a card to share with ...

You're My Hero Cupcakes

Image
Today I have a fun 3D item to share with you.  My little boy Benjamin turned 4 yesterday, so I am sharing the cupcake picks I made for his party on Sunday. How fun are these cupcakes?!  First of all, the cupcakes are large ones so I couldn't put the cupcake stand all together.  I ended up just putting five on the bottom layer of the rack so the icing wouldn't get ruined.  So, these picks are on the bigger side so they would look good on a larger cupcake.  Here's a look at the three picks up close.   These picks were quick and easy to make.  I stamped the police car with StazOn Black ink on Glossy White card stock.  I used markers and a blender pen to color it in.  I added a layer of Polka Dot Parade DSP behind the white and a banner below to finish it off.  The banner wraps around the tooth pick and has Happy Birthday on one side and weee-ooo weee-ooo on the other. This was such a quick and fun project that added a personal touch to the ...

It's Monday and time for a new Monday Lunchtime Sketch Challenge!  We have another fantastic sketch this week from Mary Jo at Technostamper, take a look. I saw the sketch and had an idea right away.  I used You're My Hero since it was out on my desk.   I just made cupcake picks for Benjamin's birthday party, I will share those with you this week.  Anyway, here is the card I made for this sketch. Here's all the details: 1.  Picked Whisper White as my card base and paper pierced a straight line down each side. 2.  Picked out DSP from Polka Dot Parade and cut to size.  The Daffodil Delight polka     dots is cut to 3 1/4" x 4 3/4".  The Marina Mist polka dot paper is cut to     2" x 3 3/4". 3.  Stamped the police car form You're My Hero with StazOn Black on Whisper     White and die cut it with Circle Framelit with 2 3/4" diameter,     5th one in from the outside. 4.  Colored the ca...

Saturday Challenge: Rev Up the Fun!

Image
I have a fun card to share today that I made for the Saturday Challenge at Create with Connie and Mary.  We are at the end of week three for the Summer Collection 2013 and the projects are just amazing!  They are also having a Saturday Challenge to go along and I was able to get a card made this week.  First let's look at the sketch we have.   What a fun sketch!  I actually altered my card to be vertical as I prefer them.  Take a look. This was such a fun card to make, Rev Up the Fun set is so easy to work with.  I kept with the sketch, just centered the focal point instead of having it off center.  Here' what I did. 1.  Picked out Crumb Cake as my card base.  Also picked out my other colors, Basic Black and Polka Dot Parade DSP. 2.  Cut the DSP and decided on what to do for the scalloped part of the sketch.  Since I am doing a masculine card, I decided against scallops and tried something new.  I took my hexagon punch and...

Fun Birthday Gift Cards

Image
Today I have two fun little birthday gift cards I made with You're My Hero.  These are perfect for tucking into a gift bag for a little boy.  The size of the cards is 3x3.  I like to do these every so often, they are quick and fun since there is less space to fill.  You're My Hero is a perfect set for this.  I love the weeeooo-weeeooo stamp, it looks great at the bottom of the cards.  Here are the cards individually. This first card has the police car colored with Markers.  I stamped it on a separate piece of Whisper White and cut it out.  The new Chevron Ribbon is too cool and looks great behind the car.  I adhered it directly to the card with SNAIL and then added the car using dimensionals. On this second card, I stamped the ambulance in Daffodil Delight instead of using markers.  I like this look too.  It's much simpler if you need to make several cards.  I set the rest of it up the same as the first with the ribbon and addi...

You're my Hero...Again!

Image
Today I have another fun birthday card to share using You're My Hero.  I am still into the blues and grays, I tried to use other colors but couldn't! If you haven't noticed, I am also into using banners on my cards lately.  Today it's a very large Smokey Gray banner.  The cute police card is stamped all over the banner along with weeeooo-weeeooo.  I stamped off once to mute the color a bit.  The card base is Pacific Point embossed with the Chevron EF.  I attached the banner then added in a greeting.  The police card under the greeting was stamped off twice to make it very light.  I wanted the greeting to really stand out.  I have the greeting popped up and Pacific point Candy Dots added to the ends.  I also added Real Red Candy Dots on the police cars for a pop of color.  Another card that was quick to put together but looks super cute!  Keep coming back, more to come with this set and Rev Up the Fun. Thanks for stopping by!...

You're My Hero Birthday Card

Welcome back!  Today I have a card to share using the fun new set called You're My Hero.  Now that I have two little boys, my girl stamp sets are getting dusty!  I am having lots of fun stamping race cards and fire trucks from the great new sets we have available. I made this card for almost 4 year old.   Ben's birthday is a little over a month away so I figured I'd get a jump on things!  He is all boy and loves to say weeeooo-weeeooo when playing with his fire truck, so I had to make him this card!  The base is Real Red (no embossing again!) with a few simple elements added.  The fire truck is stamped with StazOn black then die cut with the Circles Framelits.  I lightly colored the truck with my Aqua Painter and ink pad, didn't want it to be a crazy dark red.  Lastly I did a series of banners that were stamped with the greeting.  I also added in the weeooo's to the card base, thought it needed a little something extra.  This w...
