November My Paper Pumpkin

Image
I got a chance to dive into the November My Paper Pumpkin and have a slightly different version to share with you today. I love how festive the colors are, the Cherry Cobbler envelope is a beautiful compliment to the card. For this first card, I went with the original layout for this particular design, just changed up the sentiment.  Since there wasn't as much color in the center as the original, I added a Cherry Cobbler matting.  The best part about these kits is how simple they make it for you!  The holly leaves are die cut, just pop them out and add them to the card.  And they think of everything, there were tiny little dimensionals that fit the holly leaves perfectly! This kit was a fun way to jump back into stamping after a week of moving, it helped get my mojo going!  I'm going to sit down again with the November My Paper Pumpkin and see what else I can come up with, so check back this week for more ideas!  If you haven't given this great way to stamp a try, I ask you

Fireside Christmas

Image
Welcome to another Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop!  This week we are featuring Christmas cards, anything we choose! This week's challenge actually gave me a chance to use a set that I fell in love with right away but have hardly used! I just love the idea of a cozy Christmas by the fire so Festive Fireplace was on my radar as soon as the Holiday Catalog came out. For this card, classic colors worked best.  Cherry Cobbler for the fire place and Garden Green on the mantle create a classic Christmas scene. With a focal point as bold as this fireplace, a greeting that could stand out was needed.  In comes the Expressions Natural Elements.  The wood tone was a perfect compliment to the crackling fire.  So many ways to use this set, I look forward to exploring them all!  You can check out the supply list below for more information on how this card was created. SUPPLIES: STAMPS:   Festive Fireplace, Watercolor Wash PAPER:  Cherry Cobbler, Garden Green, Early Espresso, Whi

Wonderland Flat Shaker

I've been away for a week, sorry I haven't shared any ideas with you.  We just moved to a new house after living at the previous house for over ten years.  Do you know how much stuff a family of 5 can collect in that amount of time??  A LOT!!  We are exhausted but glad to be settling into our new home.  Things are still chaotic, but I am SO READY to get back to stamping and sharing!! Here's a fun card I made before all the moving started, it's with my favorite set WONDERLAND. I just love these flat shakers!  It's hard to see in the picture, but there are trees stamped behind the vellum.  I wanted a winter woods effect with the sequins acting like snowflakes.  I even threw in a few of the snowflakes from last year's holiday catalog because they were a perfect fit. Since the trees in the background are harder to see, I added a couple tree tops to the vellum.  I love that they match perfectly with the washi tape......Mossy Meadow is such a lovely color for pine tre

Sparkly Season Flip Card

Image
I love this particular die cut set, but I don't use it nearly enough! It's the flip card die!  This is such a fun way to give a wow factor without having to spend too much time.  The flip card die cut does all the work for you, embellishing is all you need to worry about. I think that the Sparkly Seasons snow globe concept is a perfect fit here, don't you??  I was able to fit the snowman perfectly on the front of the flip and the sentiment inside. A few little details give the card more life.  A bit of Dazzling Diamonds glimmer paper for the sentiment give a little sparkle and embossing gives more dimension. This is just one great way to use Sparkly Seasons......this set is full of fun!  I have another great sample with this set that you can check out HERE if you missed it. Also, don't forget about the November Mini Session from Create with Connie and Mary .  We have some FABULOUS holiday ideas for you this month that you won't want to miss!  For more details, visi

Reason for the Season

Image
Welcome to another Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop!  This week we are featuring Christmas cards using traditional RED AND GREEN. For a card with traditional colors I went immediately to Reason for the Season. You think I did enough red and green?!  I have lots going on with this card.  Not only does it have embossing and designer paper, it has a special fold! Yep, it's an easel card so the recipient can show it off after you send it.  And it mails easily so you can WOW whomever you choose! Only two colors of ink were needed, Mossy Meadow and Cherry Cobbler.   A few pearls and the card is done.  The longest part of the process was fussy cutting the flowers, but they really didn't take much time at all! I added in a sentiment from Holly Jolly Greetings to prop up the front.  I love this set, the greetings can be used in so many ways! SUPPLIES: STAMPS:   Reason for the Season, Holly Jolly Greetings PAPER:  Mossy Meadow, Cherry Cobbler, Whisper White, Merry Moments

More Blackberry Bliss

Image
Wednesday I shared a Blackberry Bliss beauty featuring the JINGLE ALL THE WAY BUNDLE.  Well, I'm back with another version of that card today. As with the other Jingle All the Way card, I brayered a Blackberry Bliss background.  I love the beautiful night sky this color makes. I added Santa and his sleigh to the night sky and a little snowy village with Dazzling Diamonds glimmer paper. I went bolder for the sentiment this time using a Blackberry Bliss die cut.  It really pops against the Dazzling Diamonds glimmer paper.  Such a lovely card and it was so easy to make!  My poor brayer is getting worn out with all these Blackberry Bliss cards.  I think I will have to switch it up and start with another color before I wear out my Blackberry ink pad! Tomorrow I am switching gears and bringing you something other than Blackberry Bliss....gasp!  I think you'll enjoy this card though, so be sure to stop back for the Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop. I'm back with more Blackberry Bliss beauties this week.  Today's card is brayered again (my brayer is getting a real workout!) with this gorgeous deep color.  I went crazy for a day and did several cards with the new favorite.  I shared a couple with you already which you can look at again HERE and HERE .  But enough chatting, let's get to the good stuff! Simple yet elegant, don't you think??  Once again this card is more about the Big Shot and minimal stamping. Keeping this card simple, I went with just white and Blackberry Bliss.  I love the contrast of the crisp white to the deep, rich blackberry....looks like a snowy night! A little touch of sparkle with Dazzling Diamond stars was my final touch.  The night sky needed a little twinkle!  Come back tomorrow for another version of this card, the Sleigh Ride thinlits have lots of versatility! Just a reminder, the November Mini Session from Create with Connie and Mary has gone live, so if you haven't subscribed, I

May Your Season Sparkle

Image
Christmas cards can be extra easy when you have gorgeous designer paper to give you a hand.  Today's Santa card has minimal stamping but lots of sparkle. Isn't this colorful and fun!  I just love the Home for Christmas designer paper.  Cutting out pieces of the designs to use in place of stamps adds a whole new dimension to card making. Santa and the tree along with a plethora of gifts were all fussy cut to embellish the top of the card.  But what really makes this card sparkle is the gorgeous red glimmer paper bow.  It makes the card look like one of Santa's gifts!  Let me show you where the inspiration came from.... There's a great sketch this week at Try Stampin' -or not- on Tuesday .  The bow is where I started building my card.  Red glimmer paper and Santa are a great match! This card was so much fun to create, I highly recommend cutting up your designer paper for beautiful cards!  To learn more about this week's challenge stop by Try Stampin' for all
