Bundle of Joy

Image
Welcome to another Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop!  This week our theme is BUNDLE OF JOY so we are sharing BABY cards. Lately I have been all about watercolor, so I did a baby card with a mixture of designer paper and watercolor. Bold color choice, don't you think?  Mossy Meadow doesn't usually jump to mind when thinking about baby cards, but I think this works! The bold polka dot pattern is a nice contrast to the soft watercolor baby buggy.  To get this soft look, I stamped the image with Mint Macaron first.  Then I added water to it with the aqua painter and layered on Mossy Meadow ink until it had the look I wanted. The buggy was fussy cut then added to a piece of watercolor paper that had the hearts from BIRTHDAY BLOOMS.  I stamped the hearts in Blushing Bride then added water to soften the images.  Lastly, I added a sentiment from COTTAGE GREETINGS.  This card ended up using 3 different stamp sets to create! How about the good stuff now....the Supply List s

Picture Perfect

I'm taking a small break from Birthday Blooms to share a PICTURE PERFECT easel card with you.  This card was a challenge from Patty Bennett for our Luv2Stamp facebook meeting. Doesn't this have a great soft beach feel to it!  Pool Party and Crumb Cake are perfect for representing a blue sky and warm sand! I used watercolor paper so I could create a soft background with an aqua painter and Pool Party ink.  The starfish is stamped on watercolor paper as well for the added texture.  I layered Crumb Cake and Tip Top Taupe for a realistic look. The senitments are from two different stamp sets, but they coordinate beautifully!  The one on the card front comes with PICTURE PERFECT and I simply love it.  Such a beautiful statement!  The sentiment added to the strip of Crumb Cake that holds the easel up came from BIG NEWS .  It's part of a wedding stamp in that set so I just masked off the wedding portion and stamped "may all your dreams come true" by itself. I hope you

Blooming Anniversary

Image
Welcome to another Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop!  This week our theme is TOGETHER FOREVER so we are sharing WEDDING AND ANNIVERSARY cards. Since I've been working with BIRTHDAY BLOOMS I went ahead and did a beautiful water color anniversary card. I heat embossed the small flowers in white all over then did an abstract water color over the whole card. I didn't keep within any of the lines, I wanted the messy water color look to fill the entire card front.  I went back after the first layer of color was dry and added darker shading.  All of it was done with my aqua painter and my ink pads. For the sentiment, I looked to the hostess set HAPPY BIRTHDAY, EVERYONE.  This set is meant for birthdays, but I love the sentiment "to my darling" and thought is was perfect for this card.  I heat embossed the words in white on Blushing Bride cardstock to add over top of the water color.  For a little bling, silver thread and sequins were added. Now let's get to

Remember I said I had more BIRTHDAY BLOOMS to share??  Well here is a beauty done with WISTERIA WONDER. This one is heat embossed on Whisper White and colored with alcohol markers. I added a little yellow to the center and gave the bloom pretty pale green leaves. As always I included a matching envelope and added sequins!  I bet you'd be in shock of there weren't sequins on this card! As I've said before, this a real must have since you can use it so many ways!  I have a couple of really cool cards coming up with this set using alcohol markers and water color so please stop back!   CLICK HERE to SHOP anytime and earn FREE STAMPS SHOP the CLEARANCE RACK and WEEKLY DEALS CLICK HERE to shop TUTORIALS FOR SALE Subscribe to My Paper Pumpkin Follow my blog with Bloglovin

Watercolor Bloom

Image
How about a little watercoloring today??  I have been having way too much fun with the BIRTHDAY BLOOMS stamp set! Don't you just love the variation of color you can achieve with the aqua painter and inks!!  I heat embossed the bloom on the water color paper first then went back with the aqua painter and layered on the colors.  I started out light and let it dry a little then went back to add more color for dimension. I love this bloom in Rich Razzleberry!  The color is so beautiful and the leaves in Old Olive coordinate perfectly. I hope you've enjoyed this water color today!  BIRTHDAY BLOOMS is such a lovely set and as I've said before it's at the top of my must have list!  I sat down the other day and embossed a bunch of blooms on watercolor paper and have some gorgeous cards to share this week! Did you know the February Mini Session from Create with Connie and Mary is live??  Have you subscribed yet??  We have five AWESOME tutorials for you featuring sets from the

Love is in the Air

Happy Valentine's Day!!  I have a perfect card to share with you today since love is in the air!  A BALLOON BUILDERS Valentine! This was such a fun and easy Valentine to create!  A quick one layer card that just requires a little sponging and stamping! I stamped soft Blushing Bride heart balloons all over the card then sponged clouds in the background around them.  I wanted light and airy strings so I used the fine tip on my Pool Party marker to draw them in. See...I told you this was a quick one!  If you still have a couple of last minute Valentine's to make this one is the way to go!  Have a wonderful Valentine's Day!! Bring on the Bling!

Image
Welcome to another Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop!  This week we are all about the BLING! Honestly, I wasn't sure where to start!!  So, I sat down and do what I normally do when ideas are slim, I look through my designer paper and what I have on my desk.  This time around, the COTTAGE GREETINGS CARD KIT   stood out to me since it has sequins and silver in it. This is an idea that struck me as I looked at the paper.  Do heat embossing directly on the paper with a big, bold sentiment.  And what could be better for big and bold than BOTANICALS FOR YOU. Since the card has silver all over it, the sentiment needed to stand out.  So, in comes black embossing powder and a ginormous greeting.  I also thought doing a juxtaposition would be cool so that's how the black paper with silver embossing came about. And of course since we are all about bling, I had to add lots of SEQUINS!  And with this card being from the COTTAGE GREETINGS CARD KIT , I needed the envelope that wa

Beautiful Ride Valentine

Image
I'm going to take a break today from Birthday Blooms and share a Valentine I made for the Creative Crew on Splitcoaststampers. Isn't this fun!  I combined the cute couple from BEAUTIFUL RIDE with HELLO LIFE and the gorgeous HAVE A CUPPA designer paper. This was SO easy to put together.  A couple strips of designer paper and a little stamping is all it took.  I cut out a couple of the hearts from the dsp to scatter over the card and added a sequin or two. This is another way to get more from your everyday stamps.  Add in little details to create cards for holidays or any other occasion you may need.  To make your own BEAUTIFUL RIDE Valentine, just click on the supply list below. to order supplies.
