We've got a fabulous new sketch from Create with Connie and Mary for the Thursday Challenge this week.  It's a great design, you can really get creative or go simple. My card is inspired by this sketch as well as an outside source......my son's pj's!  I have a cute picture of him in dinosaur pj's that have the cutest color palette. This is such a great color combination, very bright and happy.  I have been planning to do a card with these colors and this week's Create with Connie and Mary sketch was just the right inspiration. Isn't this fun?!  I didn't use green in this card, just Tempting Turquoise, Pumpkin Pie and Smokey Slate. The card starts out with a Tempting Turquoise card base and a layer of Smokey Slate.  To go along with the sentiment, I stamped hearts from Hearts a Flutter all over the card stock with Smokey Slate Ink. Welcome!  Today is another challenge day, this time it's for Try Stampin' On Tuesday .  They have a great sketch to work with this week, take a look. I wanted to use Life in the Forest and ended up going a bit abstract with the sketch.  I initially planned on boxes of different colors, but changed my mind.  I arranged the cut outs in the same pattern as the boxes, just no boxes! Isn't this interpretation fun!  I used both Sale-a-bration and Occasions catalog products.  The Designer Series Paper is Sweet Sorbet and it's available starting today! I stamped the raccoon on Smokey Slate and fussy cut him out.  His tail and ears are colored in with a Basic Black marker.  His mask is colored in with a retired gray marker.  The trees are stamped with Summer Starfruit on Summer Starfruit card stock and fussy cut.  The rabbit is stamped on Pool Party and fussy cut as well.  All the elements are arranged like the pattern of boxes in the sketch...

Happy Friday!  I am very excited about this Friday in particular, it's the debut of my first project for the Spring Collection 2014 at Create with Connie and Mary.  The project is exclusive to subscribers, but I can show you a fun card made with the set I used for my design.  It's Life in the Forest, a super fun set for kids and adults alike! This card pairs new stamps with products from the upcoming Sale-a-bration catalog.  I love the look of the background dots from the Decorative Dots EF and the dotted paper from Sweet Sorbet DSP.  I kept the card clean and simple by just adding simple stamping.  "Hey there" is stamped with Black StazOn on Whisper White with a cute raccoon below.  The raccoon is stamped on Smokey Slate card stock with StazOn black ink.  I fussy cut him out and colored in his tail and ears with a Basic Black marker. It's day three of PREVIEW week for the Spring Collection 2014 at Create with Connie and Mary .  I am SO excited to be a part of this awesome creative team.  I have a fun card to share with you today plus BLOG CANDY!!!  Let's get started with my Life in the Forest card. I have to say, I just LOVE this fox!  My kids are obsessed with the You Tube video about what the fox says, and I can see why....Mr. Fox is cute!  This card also feature the Just Sayin' Bundle and Designer Series Paper from the upcoming Sale-a-bration catalog.  Mr. Fox and the mouse were stamped and cut out so they could be placed in front of the Summer Starfruit trees. Clouds were added in to the top of the white card stock.  I simply die cut the cloud from the Just Sayin' Framelits and sponged Soft Sky ink around it all the way down to the trees. Happy Monday!  It's time for a new Monday Lunchtime Sketch Challenge from Technostamper.  Here's a look at Mary Jo's fabulous sketch for today. I have been dying to dig into my new products, so today's card is a preview of what you'll be seeing in the new Occasions Catalog and Sale-a-Bration Catalog.  Isn't this just the cutest!  The clever little fox is from Forest Friends, a very fun new set to look forward to.  He has several buddies that I will show in upcoming cards.  The card base is Sahara Sand with a layer of Pool Party on top.  The Pool Party card stock is embossed with the upcoming SAB Embossing Folder called Decorative Dots.  I have a layer of Basic Black card stock measuring 3 3/4" x 3 1/4".  A layer of Whisper White was added over the black with trees stamped with Summer Starfruit.  A 1" x 3 1/16" strip of SAB DSP called Sweet Sorbet was added to the bottom.  Before it was added, a 1/2" strip of Summer Starfruit was add...
