Festival of Trees for CCC23

Happy Monday!  I hope you all had a wonderful weekend.  I had a busy one, but I still have two cards to share with you today.  The first card is for the sketch challenge from the Creative Challenge Club. I kept true to the sketch and did a square card using the scallop square from the Square Framelits Collection. Isn't this a beautiful frosty card!  Pool Party is simply perfect for wintertime. The card base is embossed with the On Point embossing folder for a little texture.  A layer of Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer paper adds a bit of sparkle along with a silver foil tree. I also added a little texture to the tree with the Northern Flurry embossing folder.  The silver foil looks simply amazing with the snowflake embossed on it! A little bit of All is Calm Designer Paper is underneath the simple sentiment from Good Greetings. Final touch and splash of color is a sweet little red cardinal just above the sentiment. I really love how pretty this card is with Pool ...

Festival of Trees for CCC20

It's Monday and as usual I have two cards to share today.  The first card is for the sketch challenge from the Creative Challenge Club. I am all about Christmas, so my card features Festival of Trees and All is Calm Designer Series Paper. This card has a little bit of everything.  There's embossing, patterns, stamping and bling!  The Whisper White card base is embossed with On Point, I just love the little trees!  Next, several patterns of All is Calm paper bring color to the card and set up the focal point.  The tree is stamped on Whisper White with Pear Pizzaz and punched out.  It has a few sequins for ornaments and a simple sentiment below.  A couple of silver glimmer stars complete the design. This was a quick and fun card thanks to designer paper!  I hope it inspires you to create a card and join in the challenge!  You can find all the details plus more great samples at the Creative Challenge Club blog.  You can also visit the De...

Festival of Trees for CCMC327

It's Thursday and time for the new challenge from Create with Connie and Mary .  This week we have a great sketch to work with. I always love the sketches with unusual angles, they are extra fun!  I have been on a Festival of Trees kick, so I went with it for today's card. Talk about lots of patterns!  I went crazy with the Trim the Tree Designer Series Paper Stack on this card! I started out with a Garden Green card base embossed with the On Point embossing folder.  Then the madness begins with lots of patterns of designer paper.  First layer is the trees angled to the side.  Next, a more muted layer of snowflakes, then a plaid oval.  The tree is kept fairly plain and simple.  It's stamped on Whisper White with Garden Green and has a gold glimmer star on top.  The finishing touches are a trio of small gold stars and a simple sentiment. I hope you will join the challenge this week and make a card of your own!  Just go to Create with Co...

Festival of Trees Gift Tags

Image
Today I have some Christmas gift tags to share using Festival of Trees.  I made two different types of tags, one shaker and one with stars punched out. First was the shaker tag with a punch out of the tree. The tag is made up of two layers of cardstock.  The top layer is the specialty paper Under the Tree.  It's a beautiful heavy weight paper with designs on both sides like the lighter weight designer paper.  The paper is die cut with a circle framelit and the top layer punched with the Tree Punch.  I used window sheet and dimensionals to make the shaker portion then just add in a few stars and sequins. Next, I tried another style of gift tag using the Confetti Star Punch. This tag also uses two circles of cardstock.  But this time they are adhered together and the bottom layer shows through the stars punched on top.  The tree added to the top was actually a left over from another project.  I always keep any extra punches or pieces in a little con...

Festival of Trees for CCMC326

Thursday's here and so is the new challenge from Create with Connie and Mary .  We are in week 2 of the Holiday Collection, so I am in Christmas mode.  That means today's card is of course a Christmas card.  Before I get ahead of myself, let me show you the colors we are working with this week. I have really been into Festival of Trees which I used last week, so I went ahead and made another one for this week! First of all, I love this week's colors!   Mossy Meadow is such a deep, rich color and it goes beautifully with Lost Lagoon.  I had no trouble whipping up this card with just a few items. The Mossy Meadow card base is embossed with the On Point Embossing Folder....super cute!  I was hesitant to get it, but I am soooo glad I did!  The Lost Lagoon banner has snowflakes from Endless Wishes stamped all over and a tree popped up on dimensionals. The sentiment is in Lost Lagoon on Whisper White and die cut with a the banner from the Snowflake Card...

Festival of Trees

It's Thursday and time for a new challenge from Create with Connie and Mary .  This week we have a great sketch to work with. I made a Festival of Trees card with frosty colors inspired by the All is Calm Designer Paper. The Lost Lagoon card base has light stamping of the snowflake from Letterpress Winter.  I didn't want it to be too plain, but I also didn't want it to be too busy.  All is Calm Designer Paper makes up the next part of the design.  A polka dot circle and strip of Smokey Slate trees look great against the darker Lost Lagoon card. The Soft Sky tag was made with the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch.  A few snowflakes and sentiment from Cheerful Tags are stamped directly on the tag.  The tree from Festival of Trees is Basic Gray embossed with white.  A sparkly star add just the right touch of sparkle.  The finishing touch is a bit of 5/8" white organza ribbon and a rhinestone. Well, I hope you feel inspired to join the challenge with me!...

Festival of Trees Treat Box

Image
Welcome back!  Today is the final day of preview week for the Holiday Collection and I have a treat to share with you.  Before I do, I want to share the link for today's FREE TUTORIAL and BLOG CANDY.  Just head over to Create with Connie and Mary for more details!! Now on to today's treat.  I really love the Tiny Treat Boxes so I made another one to share. These are just so stinkin' cute and so quick to make, I know I will be doing more!  The back of the box has paper from Trim the Tree designer paper stack.  Instead of putting paper around the outside of the box like the last one, I stamped instead.  I wanted a snowy feel and the beautiful snowflake from Cheerful Tags was perfect for the job.  I stamped all around the outside with White Craft ink then set it aside to dry while I worked on the rest. The treat inside the box is the same as the previous one .  I used the 1 3/8" circle punch and Trim the Tree designer paper to embellish the m...
