See it Again Saturday

Image
It's time for another card re-make on See it Again Saturday.  Today's card is  re-make of my Create with Connie and Mary Challenge card from this week.  Here's that card, more about it here . Here is the card I did for my Saturday re-make. I changed up the design a little on this card.  I did a Pool Party card base with a layer of Crumb Cake embossed with the Polka Dot EF.  I did not add in a large background banner this time.  Instead I had the focus all on the doily and banners.  I used Crumb Cake, Pool Party and Basic Grey inks for the banners and greeting.  In place of the embossed piece that I had across the top of the banners I used a piece of SAB Pool Party ribbon.  I added a button in place of the three flowers from the previous card.  I love these colors together.  I would not have used Basic Grey if it wasn't for this week's CCMC color challenge.  Now I am really liking this grey!   Thanks for stopping by, s...

Double Embossed Baby Cards

Image
I have a couple of cute baby cards to share today.  I used a technique called Double Embossing to create part of the card.  Double embossing is done with a Brayer, Versamark, clear embossing powder and an embossing folder.  First let me show you the cards.  This first card is done with Cool Caribbean (wish they were bringing it back!) and So Saffron.  The double embossed section is done with the Vintage Wallpaper EF.  It's quite simple, you ink up your brayer with versamark then run it over your embossing folder.  I use the side that had the flat design, not the raised design.  You place your paper into the embossing folder and run it through the big shot.  Take it out and pour the clear embossing powder all over it then heat emboss.  It gives you a beautiful look, the flat area is heat embossed so it's glossy and darker that the raised areas.  If I get a chance I'll do a picture tutorial sometime soon.  Here is the girl card t...

Flashback Friday

Image
Welcome back to Flashback Friday!!!  Today's share is a super cute set that I loved immediately when it came out, A New Little Someone from 2003. How sweet is this bunny?!  This card sort of made itself.  Many of the components of the card were left overs from other projects.  The Crumb Cake card stock embossed with the Square Lattice EF was sitting in my extras box as was the Pretty in Pink double embossed Vintage Wallpaper card stock.  I added in a card base of Pretty in Pink and Whisper White CS.  The Crumb Cake ribbon added a nice touch. The bunny was stamped with black StazOn on Glossy White CS and colored in with an Aqua painter and markers.  I stamped the greeting with Soft Suede directly on the Whisper White layer. I liked this card so much that I used a couple other extras and made two more cards with different colors. I did a bunny in Bashful Blue with the Crumb Cake and Whisper White.  Just as sweet as the pink bunny! And the last ...

A Pennant Parade Halloween

Image
As you already know, I LOVE the Pennant Parade stamp set and coordinating punch Petite Pennants Builder.  So you know I had to do a Halloween card using them!!  This card came together quickly using just the punch, a couple of small circle punches,  the web from Wicked Cool and Sweet Shoppe Lower Alphabet. I had just as much fun editing this picture as I did creating the card!  It was fun changing things up a little!  This card is a 3x6 which I don't do very often, but thought it worked well for a banner card.  I hope you like it! Please come back to check out more Halloween ideas.  I just love creating for Halloween so I have lots of tricks up my sleeves!!! If it doesn't move..stamp it!!!
