Holiday Collection Week 4 Blog Hop!

Image
Welcome to the final Blog Hop of the Create with Connie and Mary Holiday Collection!!  The last four weeks went by so fast, but I had such a great time!! Each Design Team member has made a card with the set they used in week four, and I know you will want to make your way around to see them all.  The projects for the collection have been out of this world, I'm sad it's over already!!  If you're not a subscriber, it's not too late to join in the fun.  You can find all the details on Create with Connie and Mary.   You should be getting here from Melissa's blog, I love her cards, she is so creative!  My set for this week was Wintertime.  I almost made a shaker card, but I liked the look of the see through window by itself. I love how this card turned out, and it was pretty simple to make!  I started with a Coastal Cabana card base that I die cut an oval out of.  I added a piece of window sheet cut in an oval one size up to make the windo...

Wintertime Gift Cards

Wow!  Friday is here already!  I've had yet another crazy busy week, but I still have something to share with you today.  I am sad to say that the Create with Connie and Mary Holiday Collection is coming to an end. Today my last project went live and I have to say it's my favorite project of this collection.  I featured the stamp Wintertime and did something really cool with glitter and confetti.  It's not too late to see my project....you can still subscribe and have access to all of the projects at once!!  More details can be found at Create with Connie and Mary. Now, onto my project for today.  As with Wondrous Wreath, I took the Wintertime stamp and made cute little 3" x 3" gift cards.  You might be wondering how that is possible with such a giant stamp.  Well, let me show you. The stamp takes up the entire front, just the tippy top and the very bottom of the stamp doesn't make it onto the cardstock. This first card is Pool Party cardstoc...

Happy Winter!

Today I have a couple of cards to share.  The first is a winter themed card for the Creative Challenge Club sketch. When I looked at the sketch, I thought a snowflake or star would be great in place of the flower.  So I went with Wintertime and a frosty set of colors. I love Pool Party for winter cards, usually it's paired with another blue or silver.  Today I combined it with a color I haven't used in forever....Wisteria Wonder.  The cool colors look BEAUTIFUL together!  A little silver added in and this card is a real gem. The base is embossed with the Northern Flurry embossing folder to add texture to the open area of cardstock.   The focal point of the card is the Wintertime stamp.  To get the two colors at one time, I used markers instead of ink pads.  The largest Apothecary framelit fit beautifully with the stamp, it just needed trimmed down a bit to fit along the side of the card. A bit of silver was added in for contrast and sparkle....
