Sweet Cupcake

Welcome to another Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop!  This week we are featuring our favorite new stamp set from the new catalog. The SWEET CUPCAKE BUNDLE was the first thing on my wish list after seeing the new catalog.  I simply love the realistic look of these yummy cupcakes!  And with the bundle you get coordinating framelits so no fussy cutting! The biggest thing to decide when creating these cupcakes was the colors.  You want three distinct layers of color for both the icing and cupcake. This cupcake is chocolate, so I layered Sahara Sand, Tip top Taupe and Soft Suede.  For a fun yummy frosting I went with Soft Sky, Pool Party and Bermuda Bay.  All of these colors are favorites for me, especially Bermuda Bay. To go along with the chocolate cupcake, I went with a Soft Suede card base and a gorgeous gold polka dot paper.  I got the gold polka dots from the beautiful POP OF PINK SPECIALTY DSP.   This is such a a fabulous paper that I didn't add any other bling...

I am so excited, I finally got a chance to open up and use the My Paper Pumpkin from last month!  I have been so busy with all the new stamps in the catalog that the kit got forgotten!  So what I ended up doing was combining new stamps with it so I could have the best of both worlds. This striped cardstock from the kit is AWESOME!  I went with more muted colors for my cupcake since the stripes are white and Tip Top Taupe.  And take a look at how fantastic Gold Foil Paper looks against the stripes! The cupcake from SWEET CUPCAKE is so much fun to create!  You get to stamp three layers of color to get the cool realistic look.  The cupcake liner was stamped with So Saffron and Sahara Sand while the frosting was all Blushing Bride. I also added in a couple of extras from the MPP kit, the sequins and baker's twine.  I also added a bit of gold foil to the envelope.  The coordinating CUPCAKE CUTOUTS FRAMELITS have some really great die cuts, the swirly that I put on the envelope is my ...

Welcome to the Creation Station Blog Hop for June!  This month we are all about NEW PRODUCTS!!!!  Yep, it's that magical time of year when the new ANNUAL CATALOG is released with tons of new stamps and goodies to create with. We have tons of ideas to share, so be sure to hop all the way around to see everyone's cards and projects! I splurged and got new goodies shipped 2nd day air (EEK....so excited) so I have lots of new stamps and things to use.  The first thing I gravitated to was the awesome new SWEET CUPCAKE BUNDLE. I'm totally obsessed with the amazingly realistic cupcake frosting!  Isn't this just too cool! The bundle has the Sweet Cupcake photopolymer stamp set and Cupcake Cutouts Framelits.  There are so many ways to use them alone or together....I can't wait to come up with as many ideas as possible! I went a little bolder with today's card versus the Peekaboo Peach card from yesterday .  This time POP OF PINK DSP was my inspiration.  The MINI TR...

Welcome to another Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop!  This month we are featuring the NEW IN COLORS!!  PEEKABOO PEACH is the first color up and one of my favorites! This new stamp set and coordinating framelits was a must have for my first order.... SWEET CUPCAKE and CUPCAKE CUTOUTS .  I knew that this awesome cupcake would look amazing in PEEKABOO PEACH!  This cupcake is a layering process of three stamps to give lots of dimension and shading.  This time I used SOFT SUEDE and TIP TOP TAUPE for the cupcake wrapper and all PEEKABOO PEACH for the icing.  It's just a matter of stamping off and layering to get this beautiful effect. Everything, yes absolutely everything, on this card is NEW!  I pointed out a few things for you in the picture.  The die cuts are all from CUPCAKE CUTOUTS .  The swirly die along the top and bottom of the card is a favorite and will be used for more than just birthday cards!  I also added in COPPER THREAD which coordinates beautifully wit...
