Festival of Trees for CCMC326

Image
Thursday's here and so is the new challenge from Create with Connie and Mary .  We are in week 2 of the Holiday Collection, so I am in Christmas mode.  That means today's card is of course a Christmas card.  Before I get ahead of myself, let me show you the colors we are working with this week. I have really been into Festival of Trees which I used last week, so I went ahead and made another one for this week! First of all, I love this week's colors!   Mossy Meadow is such a deep, rich color and it goes beautifully with Lost Lagoon.  I had no trouble whipping up this card with just a few items. The Mossy Meadow card base is embossed with the On Point Embossing Folder....super cute!  I was hesitant to get it, but I am soooo glad I did!  The Lost Lagoon banner has snowflakes from Endless Wishes stamped all over and a tree popped up on dimensionals. The sentiment is in Lost Lagoon on Whisper White and die cut with a the banner from the Snowflake Card...

Stars and Snowflakes!

I have another great Christmas card to share today.  This one is for the Monday Lunchtime Sketch Challenge. Ok...this looks like a really simple sketch, but I had to think about this one for awhile.  Should I use washi tape or ribbon?  Should I just stamp the design??  After pondering for a bit, I decided to go with lots of stamping. I was a little unsure as I made this card, but I love the way it turned out!!  Since I have been neglecting the older In Colors, I went with Strawberry Slush and Coastal Cabana.  I love these two colors together, they look great on this Christmas card. The sentiment is a combination of the "Merry" from Cheerful Tags and "christmas" from Endless Wishes.  I love how they look stamped in rows to fit the sketch.  To fill up the rest of the card, I stamped small snowflakes along the top and bottom and added stars to the center.  I love the look of the silver glimmer stars, I think they are my favorite part of the card...

Santa Stache for CCMC320

Image
It's Thursday and time for a new challenge from Create with Connie and Mary .  This week we have a fun color challenge with Lost Lagoon, Pear Pizzaz and Smokey Slate. I made a simple card using Santa Stache and Endless Wishes.  I know these colors are not typical for Christmas, but I think made it work....what do you think? I think Santa looks good in Smokey Slate!  I kept him clean and simple, no coloring this time.  The card began with a Lost Lagoon ready cut card base and a layer of Pear Pizzaz.  Next was Whisper White with all the stamping. I first stamped Santa then added in snowflakes from Endless Wishes.  I stamped off once with Pear Pizzaz so the snowflakes wouldn't be too dark.  The super cute sentiment was added to the bottom in Lost Lagoon.  To add a little sparkle, I placed a small rhinestone in the center of each snowflake. This was super easy to do, I love the simplicity of design.  I almost made the mustache 3D, but it just di...

A Christmas Tag for Try Stampin' On Tuesday

Image
Today I have a gorgeous Christmas tag to share that I made for today's challenge at Try Stampin' on Tuesday.  Usually we have a sketch to work with, but this week we are making Holiday tags and giving a tutorial so you can make one too!  Here's a look at the tag before I show you how I made it. This is super easy  to make.  I used the largest tag from the Chalk Talk Framelits for the tag base, done in Cherry Cobbler card stock.  The bow is made using punches.  The Extra Large Oval and Large Oval punches form the bows.  I have a couple of pictures for you, but you can see the specifics in the step by step tutorial for bows I did awhile back, just click HERE .  Punch two ovals from each of the punches plus cut a strip of paper 3/4" x 3".  Use the Hexagon punch or a square punch to make banner ends of the strip of paper.  Fold over the ovals and adhere the ends together.  I used a small piece of sticky strip since it has the best hold....

Endless Wishes for CCMC276

It's Thursday already, this week is just flying by!  There is a new challenge at Create with Connie and Mary.  This week we have a color challenge using Real Red, Coastal Cabana, and Smokey Slate. I made a Christmas card using the new Photopolymer set Endless Wishes.  I like using both traditional and non-traditional colors together. Aren't these snowflakes beautiful?!  I originally bought this set because of the versatility of the greetings, but the snowflakes are amazing too!  Here's the details. 1.  Used Coastal Cabana as the card base.  Added a layer of Smokey Slate as a matting for the Whisper White. 2.  The Whisper White layer is stamped with two of the snowflakes.  The larger snowflake is in Coastal Cabana and the medium snowflake is Smokey Slate.  I added a Rhinestone Basic Jewels to the center of all the snowflakes to make them pop. 3.  The greeting is stamped in two parts with Smokey Slate and Real Red.  I punched it ...

Endless Wishes for Try Stampin Sketch #143

Image
Today I have a snowflake card to share that I made for Sketch Challenge #143 at Try Stampin' On Tuesday.  Here's a look at the sketch. The theme is vintage, so I decided to go with the Season of Style DSP pack for this card.  I really don't have anything super vintage looking, so I did more of a classic look. I love the colors of this card. Here's the details. 1.  Used Cherry Cobbler as my card base.  Stamped the large snowflake from Endless Wishes with Cherry Cobbler ink on the left side of the paper. 2.  Added a strip of Season of Style DSP.  I chose the chevron stripes since the sketch had stripes. 3.  Stamped my greeting from Endless Wishes with Cherry Cobbler ink on Crumb Cake card stock.  I die cut it with the banner from the Circle Flip Card Thinlet set.  I added it to the card with dimensionals and added a couple of pearls to each end of the banner. 4.  Lastly, I added two small snowflakes stamped with Cherry Cobbler on Whisper W...
