Sweet Sugarplum

Image
Welcome to another Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop!  This month we are featuring the NEW IN COLORS!!  This week is SWEET SUGARPLUM and it's as sweet as it's name! This card was actually created without today's color and blog hop in mind.  I was experimenting with the SHOOTING STAR BUNDLE and the gorgeous new BLOOMS AND BLISS DSP and this card pretty much made itself!  I was going to post it one day last week then I realized it would be better to save it for the SWEET SUGARPLUM blog hop. Is this just too sweet or what!!!  I added a bit of RICH RAZZLEBERRY as an accent color and love the results! Up close you can see the designer paper underneath the penny slider that was created with the SLIDING STAR FRAMELITS .  It's full of flowers which is just perfect for the honeybee from SHOOTING STAR .  I also gave the bee a couple of Rich Razzleberry SWIRLY SCRIBBLES FRAMELIT flowers.  The card is really super simple and yet wonderful interactive! If you hav

Welcome to the Annual Catalog International Blog Hop!  I feel so privileged to be included in such a talented group of stampers!  You may be coming from Sylvia's fabulous blog or just starting out here in the USA.  Either way, enjoy yourself as you visit bloggers from all over the globe.  We have lots of amazing ideas for you featuring NEW products!  So sit back and have fun traveling along with us today! I sat down with a super fun new bundle and had oodles of fun!  FOXY FRIENDS is a mix and match type of stamp set, you have tons of ways to use it!  To make it even cooler there is a coordinating punch! I did several cards, two of which showcase the coordinating designer paper stack called A LITTLE FOXY. My favorite of the three is a penny slider card that couldn't be more fun!  I designed this one first....by accident!  I had been working on slider cards with the SHOOTING STAR bundle and thought it would be fun to do a FOXY FRIENDS slider too.  The SLIDING STAR FRAMELIT

Emerald Envy

Welcome to another Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop!  This month we are featuring the NEW IN COLORS!!  EMERALD ENVY is this week’s color, so rich and bold! Lately I've been into the new stamp set SITTING HERE .  I normally go for bold, solid stamps, but something about this one called to me! Isn't this gorgeous with Emerald Envy as the focus color!!  I coordinated the card base to the porch swing pillows and added a splash of Dapper Denim. To add a little interest on the card base, a die cut leaf was tucked under the left side of the focal point.  I like how it both blends and and stands out. The inside of the card and envelope coordinate with the card front.  The leaf is carried over, love how simple yet beautiful it is!  The sentiment is heat embossed on black.  One of the sentiments from ROSE WONDER was a perfect compliment to the greeting on the front. Clean and simple can really be the way to go with a bold color like this.  Even thought SITTING HERE has l

Jar of Love

Clean and simple cards are a favorite of mine...love the open space and crispness!  Today's card is all that using the new set JAR OF LOVE . Isn't this great!  Boldness from the Emerald Envy and Basic Black pop against the softness of the Crumb Cake and White. Best part, this was EASY to make!  I heat embossed the jar and sentiment in white....that's it! The thing I spent the longest on was picking a sentiment!  I like all the sentiments from this set, but I ended up using one from FLOWER PATCH .   I love the bold lettering and the statement that it makes, really works for this card! The inside is simple as well with a coordinating sentiment from FLOWER PATCH and the leaves stamped in Emerald Envy.  The same leaves are on the envelope as well, you know I love to match! What a fabulous stamp set!  Did you know JAR OF LOVE can be purchased in a bundle with the coordinating framelits??  You really need to check this one out, so many possibilities! Sitting Here

After a busy weekend I am so happy to get back to stamping!  Today's card showcases another new set....SITTING HERE. Normally I don't gravitate towards stamps with all the details like this that need colored, but something about this set called to me!  For this card I went super simple with lots of white space. The porch swing is stamped directly on the paper while the cat and pillow are cut outs.  I didn't want to mess with masking, so stamping and cutting was the way to go! I kept the inside of the card simple as well with the flower pot in the corner.  I added this same detail to the envelope for continuity. I'm loving expanding out into areas out of my comfort zone...how about you?? To check out more of the great stamp sets in the new catalog, click below! More Biggest Birthday Ever

Image
Saturday I shared a birthday card using the fun new bundle BIGGEST BIRTHDAY EVER .  I loved the card so much I did a second version to show you today. I changed up a few of the details to create a new look.  Pop of Pink DSP is still used for the edges, just a different pattern.  This bold stripe is one of my favorites!  I ended up with the cake looking the same, I really love the polka dot layers!  In place of stamping sprinkles all over the front, I pulled out the SPRINKLES PUNCH and added SILVER GLIMMER confetti...love a little bling!! I also wanted to share the inside of the card with you.  I used another fun new set called BIRTHDAY BANNERS .  It coordinates beautifully with any of the birthday stamp int he catalog.  I used the candle and fun sentiment to coordinate. I hope you enjoyed version 2 of my BIGGEST BIRTHDAY EVER card!  You can see the first one HERE .  ALSO, have you signed up for the JUNE MINI SESSION FOR CREATE WITH CONNIE AND MARY??   It's LIVE now and full of

Flirty Flamingo

Welcome to another Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop!  This month we are featuring the NEW IN COLORS!!  FLIRTY FLAMINGO is this week's color which is quickly becoming a favorite! I used the new BIGGEST BIRTHDAY EVER Bundle for my card and I have to tell you.....this bundle is TOO.MUCH.FUN! There are endless possibilities for the slice of cake and all the accessories! To showcase FLIRTY FLAMINGO, I kept the colors simple by adding just black and white.  The strips of designer paper along the sides are from the POP OF PINK Specialty DSP .  The stripes add a nice bold touch to the card and makes the pink stand out even more!  The cake itself is all FLIRTY FLAMINGO.  The cute polka dot layers are stamped after the cake was added to the card.  It was easy peasy to line up since the stamps are photopolymer!   The one thing this set doesn't have it sentiments.  So, I used a nice bold greeting from CONFETTI CELEBRATION . It gave the celebratory look I was going for.  Afte
