This was a great opportunity to make a card for my best friend who is always a superhero for me. I combined a couple of sets, EVERYDAY HERO and LIFT ME UP.  They work together beautifully!  The clouds and the sentiment from Lift Me Up was a perfect compliment to the superhero!  I made it bold and colorful and just love how it turned out!  If you'd like to give this a try, check out my supply list below. I created a Valentine for my husband with the new NAILED IT Bundle.  He is a general contractor, so this was just perfect! For my plus 1 color, I used Silver Foil paper on the saw.  The rest of the card is pretty clean and simple so the cut out saw would really stand out. Welcome to another Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop!  This week our theme is LOVE IS IN THE AIR. I went with the obvious choice and used LIFT ME UP for my card today.  It's a simple design which is my favorite lately! I thought about doing this on watercolor paper and adding a wash of blue for the sky, but instead I went with the WATERCOLOR WASH background stamp.  This is one of my favorite backgrounds ever made and it was perfect for this card. I added the sentiment in Dapper Denim, it's a nice complimentary color to Soft Sky.  The balloon was a combination of Flirty Flamingo and Watermelon Wonder.  The pink balloon stand out nicely against the blue sky and white clouds. I pretty much knew immediately what I wanted to make....a black tie birthday card with CAKE CRAZY. I was inspired by the stamp with the bow tie.  I thought it's perfect for an elegant masculine black tie cake.  This is great for any man in your life!  I love the simplicity, this is something you could make several of and keep for those occasions where you need a card at the last minute. I got to use a set for today that I think is super cute and has so many variation possibilities..... CAKE CRAZY. I wanted the card to be bold and bright, so I took color inspiration from FESTIVE BIRTHDAYS DSP.  I added in a little bling for sparkle and love the boost it gives the card.  The colors are gorgeous, but the rhinestones give that little extra something.  Definitely a fun birthday card to brighten up someone's day. I wanted to make an uplifting card for a friend today, so what better stamp set to use than LIFT ME UP . There are so many ways to use the beautiful balloon die cuts and stamps!  I ended up using the coordinating Sale-a-bration Freebie CARRIED AWAY DSP as inspiration.  The colors are beautiful and bright so it was easy to to come up with something. Welcome to another Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop!  This week our theme is IT'S A SALE-A-BRATION! It's time to Sale-a-brate, so we are sharing ideas with NEW Sale-a-bration sets!  I personally LOVE all of the sets, but the first one that was on my wish list was TASTY TRUCKS. Isn't this just too much fun!  I saw this cute truck and had to have it! The background is a bunch of tacos which were colored with watercolor pencils and a versa marker.  The truck is popped up on dimensionals on top along with a fun sombrero that I cut out of the Festive Birthday papers.  The truck is done with watercolor pencils as well.  I love how nicely they color!!!  They are a real must have from the NEW Occasions Catalog! It's finally here......the NEW OCCASIONS CATALOG and SALE-A-BRATION!!!  This is the best time of the year!  Who doesn't love NEW stamps and even better......FREE stamps!! I made a fun card to celebrate using the new CUSTOM TEE stamp set. Isn't this perfect!!  I am one HAPPY STAMPER.....LOL! The layering of color behind the circle is from the TASTY TREATS Designer Series Paper.  It's meant to coordinate with COOL TREATS, but I love the colors so I used it for this card. The tee shirt is pretty simple yet has a lot of depth.  I simply stamped it with Memento Tuxedo Black ink then added my sentiment with Watermelon Wonder.  The depth comes in from the shading I did with the NEW WATERCOLOR PENCILS.  I added a little color around the edges of the tee shirt with the Calypso Coral pencil and a little blue around the outside with Pacific Point.  A little coloring goes a long way, especially with the blue.  A little bit of versa marker to smooth things out gave me a gorgeous tee...
