Welcome to the CREATION STATION BLOG HOP!  This month we are all about VALENTINES!! The big day is less than two weeks away so you've come to the right place.  The blog hop is full of fabulous ideas so make sure you visit all of them!! I was so excited to order new supplies that I didn't think about Valentine's Day being around the corner....so no Valentine sets (sad face).  BUT WAIT!  I know there are others out there that did the same, so I am giving you a couple of Valentines using everyday stamps. This first card was so much fun to make!  If you look closely at the background, you can see the bokeh effect which is a favorite technique of mine.  It gives such a lovely soft look that's perfect for a sky scene. A couple of vellum clouds added in give more interest without overtaking the plane.  And of course since it's a Valentine, I had to add some hearts!  This just goes to show you how versatile SKY IS THE LIMIT really is!  The variety of greetings really makes ...

Welcome to another Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop!  This week we are featuring SALE-A-BRATION products! The SKY IS THE LIMIT stamp set was sitting on my desk, so I used it for today with a clean and simple design. Isn't this the perfect example of a crisp and clean card!  Lots of white with a thick white card base and a layer of Whisper White popped up on dimensionals. I punched a couple of clouds with the TREE BUILDER PUNCH and the new PERFECTLY ARTISTIC designer paper in the Sale-a-bration catalog. It's a set of beautiful marbled watercolor-like papers that are just gorgeous...a real must have!  I also snuck in a sentiment from another SAB set called HELLO.  The "congratulations" came from SKY IS THE LIMIT then I added in "my friend" from HELLO.....they work perfectly together! I'm taking a quick break from Christmas cards to share a Sale-a-bration sneak peek with you! It's so fun to get new stamps!  My pre-order (a perk of being a demo!) came yesterday so there was no way I could make a Christmas card with these beauties on my desk.  I went with a clean and simple card using the sketch challenge from Create with Connie and Mary . I thought of the airplane and cloud from SKY IS THE LIMIT right away when I saw the layout of the flowers.  It ended up working out quite nicely! I tried out a design from one of the new designer papers as well, but it blended with the Tempting Turquoise base.  So I looked at the left over pile on my desk and a strip of WINTER WONDERLAND VELLUM jumped out at me.  It made the perfect edition and kept the card clean with just the three colors.
