Monday's here already and we have a great new sketch challenge from Mary Jo at Technostamper. I love this sketch, so fun!  I decided to do a friendship card using Perfect Blend which is one of my favorite sets. This was simple to make, here's the details. 1.  Used Basic Gray card stock as my card base.  Added a layer of Soft Sky card stock embossed with the Alphabet Press Embossing Folder, love the texture! 2.  I went simple with the scallop design on the card.  I embossed a strip of Basic Gray card stock with the scalloped edge embossing folder from Needlepoint Borders.  I fussy cut around the scallops then added it to the card with a little Multi-purpose Tombow Adhesive. 3.  Cut a piece of Birthday Basics DSP with the largest tag from Chalk Talk Framelits.  I adhered it to a piece of Gumball Green card stock and fussy cut around the tag to make a thin layer of green.  Added a piece of retired Basic Gray satin ribbon to the top of the tag....

It's Monday and Mary Jo has a great sketch for this week's sketch challenge at Technostamper. I have been into using Perfect Blend this last week so I went with it for this sketch.  I had so much fun with this card!  I wanted to integrate a doily and DSP, so I went with brown tones and Coastal Cabana for a pop of color.  Here's the details. 1.   Chose Coastal Cabana for the card base.  Added a couple splotches using Gorgeous Grunge and Soft Suede ink. 2.  Added in a doily with a circle of Soft Suede card stock die cut with a circle framelit. 3.  Added a strip of Season of Style polka dot DSP 1" x 4 1/4" over top of the doily. 4.  Stamped the coffee cup from Perfect Blend with Soft Suede on Whisper White and Crumb Cake card stock.  Stamped sentiment on the center of the Crumb cake cup and cut it out.  Also cut out the Crumb Cake lid.  Cut out the White cup and added the sentiment and lid with Tombow Multi Purpose glue.  Adh...

It's Thursday and time for a new challenge from Creat with Connie and Mary.  This week we have a color challenge, take a look. Aren't these colors great for fall!  I don't have a lot of fall stamps.   In fact I am such a Halloween fan that I usually just get those stamps from the new Holiday catalogs.  So I had to think in another direction. I decided that Perfect Blend would fit the bill.  Who doesn't love coffee or hot chocolate on a chilly fall evening?  Here's what I came up with, a clean and simple card. As I've said before, I am loving the simple white background with a pop of bright colors.  The colors for this week are perfect for this style of card.  Here's what I did. 1.  Used Whisper White for my card base.  Stamped splatters from Gorgeous Grunge with Cajun Craze. 2.  Stamped the coffee cup with StazOn Black on Whisper White and die cut it with the Deco Labels framelit.  3.  Stamped the coffee cup on Cajun Craze...

It's Tuesday and time for a new sketch from Try Stampin' On Tuesday!  This week we have a fun sketch to use with an Autumn theme. I wasn't quite sure what I wanted to do with this for a fall look, I have been into Halloween and Christmas cards lately.  So I went with an older retired DSP called Autumn Vine as my starting point.  Here's the card I made. I have been wanting to use Perfect Blend but hadn't gotten around to it yet, so I thought it would be perfect for a fall card.  Here's the details. 1.  Used Chocolate Chip as my card base.  Stamped sploches from Gorgeous Grundge with Early Espresso on it. 2.  Added two layers of DSP from Autumn Vine .  The layer under the banner has small polka dots that didn't show in this picture.  I made the banner for the top layer of DSP using my Hexagon punch. 3.  Stamped the coffee cup three times.  One on Very Vanilla, one on the polka dot DSP and one on a third design of DSP.  I cut out ...
