Candy Cane Christmas Chapstick Holder Tutorial

Image
I have a tutorial for you today in response to the Wicked Chapped Lips Chapstick holder from last week.  Lots of people asked how to make one, so I made a Christmas Chapstick holder tutorial.  It's been a busy week for me, so this is short and sweet.  First, here is the finished chapstick holder: Here is the basic template. I chose a Christmas theme, but this can be changed to whatever you choose. The base of the holder is 5 3/4" x 3 1/2".  You score at 2 1/2" and 3 1/4" . Once you have scored the paper, fold the cardstock so the top layer hangs over the bottom, and then cut two slits in the middle up to the other score line.  I measure in 1 1/2" from each end to get it perfectly centered.  Once you have your cuts made, push the the cut area inside and form a book with a holder for the chapstick as pictured below. You now have your basic design which you can decorate.  Here are your measurements for the layers: - Garden Green CS layer is 3 1/4" x 2 1/4

Some Wicked Chapped Lips!

Image
Today's share is one of my favorite little gifts to give... a chapstick holder!  These are soooo cute and super easy to make.  You can make them for so many occasions, but today's is a Wickedly Cool occasion. I used the Wicked Fun Specialty DSP to decorate the front of the holder as well as the tube of chapstick.  And of course I used Wicked Cool (I LOVE this set!) to decorate the front.  This goes together quickly and would make a fantastic teacher's gift.   I hope you liked my Wicked Cool chapstick holder.  If you would like to make your own chapstick holder and need supplies, you can visit my Stampin' Up! website to order online.  Thanks so much for stopping by! Big Shot Halloween Treats

Image
I have a few ideas for Halloween treats today using the Big Shot.  These would be great for party favors or treats for the kids in school. This first treat is made with the Top Note die cut.  I cut it out of Pumpkin pie card stock then used the Spider Web embossing folder to add texture.  I sponged the web with black ink and added the spider from Batty for You.  To make the pencil holder all you do is fold the top note in half and staple it shut..easy peasy!  I stapled so the smooth top of the staple was on the back and the rough edges were covered by the spider.  A couple of pencils fit quite nicely. I also made a pencil favor with the Oval Scallop Frame die cut.  Same thing as the top note, cut the die then send through again with the spider web embossing folder.  I cut 2 parallel slits in the center of the oval about 1/2" apart for the pencil to slide through.  The spider was adhered to the slit with sticky strip to make sure it stays in place.  That's it!  Very easy treat!

Halloween Tea Lights

Image
My share today is a set of Halloween Tea Lights.  I saw this idea HERE on Tinkerin In Ink with Tanya.  I loved it and made one for the door prize at my last workshop.   This box is really easy to put together.  The candles were super simple as well.  The trick is to put tissue paper between 2 sheets of copy paper and punch out your circles with the 1 1/4" punch.  I stamped the image on and then punched a small hole to allow for the wick.  Just a little bit of heat gun and your image is part of the candle. I used the new Wicked Fun Specialy DSP for the outer sleeve of the box and Rich Razzleberry card stock for the base.  The top is decorated with the candlestick from Wicked Cool stamped on Rich Razzleberry.  The candles are decorated with the center images from Batty For You.  I just used my markers to color in the area I wanted.  I hope you liked this fun little project.  It would be a super gift for the holidays, so I'll be posting more as I get into my Christmas projects.

A Halloween Treat for Challenge #86 at Late Night Stampers

Image
All week I've been showing you different Halloween projects featuring the owl punch and Wicked Cool.  Today's treat is a little of both!  This Halloween treat is another entry to a great Yahoo Group that I belong to called Late Night Stampers.  Each week there is a challenge, this week's is all about punches.  If you'd like to join this great group, click on the owl in the right column. This is one of my favorite gift ideas..a CD envelope turned into a package for a cookie!  The envelope is the perfect blank canvas for any holiday or occasion...the possibilities are endless!  This is my Halloween version using Wicked Cool and the oval punch for the pumpkin.  I have some Christmas ones that will be coming up in the near future.  If you'd like to make your own cookie envelopes and need supplies, please visit my Stampin' Up! website to order. A Witchy Owl

Image
More Halloween treats to share!  I am loving the new owl punch, so my share today is a set of 3x3 cards in a box with a witchy owl.  The box is made from two scallop envelope die cuts.  I made two 3x3 cards to put in the box using the new Wicked Fun Specialty DSP and Batty for You. I love making 3x3 cards, not only are they cute as can be, but they go together quickly.  It's also a great way to use up smaller scraps of the precious DSP.  I don't waste any of my paper so scraps usually go to punches and other smaller items.  I sent my direct upline Patty Bennett one of these with the bookmarks from yesterday's post, I hope she likes everything!  I made a couple other sets, using the bat and ghost punch art. I hope you liked today's treats.  I have a great one for tomorrow.  Something to hold a real treat....cookies! Hope you're having a great day!  Please stop back for a visit.  If you'd like to make your own set of 3x3 cards and need supplies, just visit my Sta

Fun Punch Art Bookmarks

Image
I've got two fun paperclip bookmarks to share today.  The owl punch (#118074) is just so versatile! It is super easy to make a bat and a ghost from the owl punch. I saw the cute bat on Paper Punch Addiction ,  Kim has really fantastic ideas!  The ghost is the simplest ..just flip the owl over and trim off the feet.  Bookmarks are a great gift for anyone..teachers, friends, family, etc.  I am sending these two bookmarks to my fabulous upline Patty Bennett , she has been so good to me and deserves a big Thank You!  I have another Halloween treat that I'm sending her that I'll show you tomorrow. If you'd like to make your own punch art bookmarks, you can visit my Stampin' Up! Website and order online!  Don't forget to stop back to see more Halloween treats! If it doesn't move..stamp it! Wicked Cool Make-n-Take

Image
Yesterday I had a great workshop at Wendy's house (thanks Wendy!) where we made a Wicked Cool card.  This set has turned out to be one of my most favorite Halloween stamps.  I think I've stamped with it daily for 2 weeks now!  The card we made uses the new Spider Web embossing folder (#120889) and the 1 3/4" x 7/8" oval punch (#119855).  I love that the card comes together quickly and uses a couple of easy techniques.  We used markers to color in the witches feet and tights,  and used sponges to accent the spider web and pumpkin. I demonstrated with the Big Shot how to use the embossing folders and how to make a cute party favor with the pillow box die cut and the owl punch (think bats!). Over the next couple weeks I have lots of Halloween samples to share!  Keep checking in to see all the goodies..better yet, subscribe to my blog (top left column) and you'll never miss anything!  If you'd like to make your own Wicked Cool cards, just hop over to my Stampin

Haunted Halloween House

Image
As promised today I am sharing the Haunted House to put my Wicked Cool Cards in for my hostess on Sunday. Here is the side view: And here is how the house opens: This design is originally from Andrea Walford, she did a great class planner for purchase 2 years ago, you can see it HERE .  It was a house with a snowman and features Punch Pals.  I loved it...so I changed it up for Halloween.  I knew the Wicked Cool set was perfect for it and I am pleased with the results.  The only other stamp added was the cat from the set Batty for You, it was the final touch.  The supply list is basically the same as the wicked cool cards.  I used a couple punches, the 1 3/4x 7/8" oval and the Modern Label. If you need supplies to make your own haunted house, you can buy online on my Stampin' Up! website .  Be sure to check out the great clearance section too! Thanks for looking, have a great day!
