Celebrate!

It's Thursday and we have a really fun sketch for this week's challenge from Create with Connie and Mary. I've been on a photopolymer stamp kick lately, so I used Endless Birthday Wishes for my card today. I love the Moonlight Designer Series Paper Stack so I used that as my inspiration.  I went with the designs featuring Hello Honey and Blackberry Bliss so I could use Rich Razzleberry and Daffodil Delight Blendabilities. This card has a lot going on, but it was simple to put together. 1.  Stamped Blackberry Bliss card base with the polka dot stamp from Endless Birthday Wishes and Blackberry Bliss ink. 2.  Cut two of the coordinating designs from Moonlight DSP Pack and added them to the card.  The polka dot design had all four corners rounded. 3.  On Whisper White, stamped the birthday cake using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored it in with Blendabilities. 4.  Cut Hello Honey and Blackberry Bliss starbursts to frame the cake. 5.  Lastly, cut a strip of Sahara Sand to cre

A Card for DAD

Thursday has come again quickly, spring cleaning made time just fly by!   This week we have a wonderful color challenge from Create with Connie and Mary . I love these soft colors together!  I think Basic Grey and Soft Sky look wonderful together to begin with.  Add in a little Sahara Sand and you have a gorgeous group of colors!  With Father's Day being the next holiday around the corner, I went with a card for Dad this week. I used all new products for this card and I must say I LOVE THEM ALL!  The sentiment is from Work of Art and "DAD" is a new Photopolymer Alphabet called Metro Type. The card base is Basic Gray with a layer of Moonlight Designer Series Paper. The focal point is a layer of Whisper White on Sahara Sand.  I used the watercolor stamps from Work of Art to create a background with Sahara Sand and Soft Sky ink.  I stamped the sentiment with Basic Gray over the Soft Sky ink in the center.  I almost stopped there, but it looked too plain.  So, in comes Metro

Monday's here again and so is a new Monday Lunchtime Sketch Challenge!  Mary Jo has another wonderful sketch for us, take a look. I have been in the process of going through papers and stamps that are retiring to see what I have left.  So for today's card, I used the retiring Quatrefancy Designer Series Paper as my inspiration. I love Strawberry Slush with a touch of Basic Black to make a statement.  This was a super easy card to put together, here's all the details. 1.  Card base is Strawberry Slush with Modern Mosaic embossing on the front. 2.  Added banner from Quatrefancy DSP.  I cut the banner end with my paper snips. 3.  Stamped dahlia with Strawberry Slush on Whisper White. 4.  Stamped sentiment from Something to Say which will be available in the new catalog starting June 2.  5.  Added Basic Black behind the Whisper White focal point.  The card came alive when I did that! 6.  Last but not least, added three rhinestones underneath the sentiment. I also need to show y

It's Thursday and time for a new challenge from Create with Connie and Mary.  This week is a great sketch challenge, take a look. I am loving the new Moonlight Designer Series Paper Stack so much that I used it again on the card I have for you today. I love the way this card combines a grunge look with soft, pretty flowers.  I used several new products and I love all of them!! First, the card base is the new In color Lost Lagoon.   It's a beautiful blue that's not too light or too dark.  I picked out the design of Moonlight DSP that I wanted then added in Basic Grey behind it to add dimension. I stamped two elements on the DSP before adding my flowers.  The first is the splash of Lost Lagoon ink that was made with a stamp from Work of Art.  Once that was in place, I added a sentiment off to the side.  "Hello" from Four You is stamped with Mossy Meadow. Now for the focal point.  I used the flowers from Happy Watercolor.  They are stamped with Memento Ink on Whisper

Moonlight Birthday

Welcome back!  Today we have a new sketch challenge at Try Stampin' on Tuesday and I have more of the Moonlight Designer Series Paper Stack to share with you.  First, let me show you the sketch. When I saw the sketch, I knew that the Moonlight paper would be perfect for this.  Yesterday I used designs that had Blackberry Bliss in them.  Today the paper I used has the new Lost Lagoon as the main color. The theme for today was smell the roses. But I really needed a masculine birthday card, so I used Basic Grey, Lost Lagoon and Hello Honey. I used three panels of the designer paper and one piece of Basic Grey embossed with the Arrows EF.  All the pieces were added to a Whisper White card base.  The greeting is from the fabulous set Four You.  I stamped "Birthday Wishes" on Lost Lagoon with Basic Grey.  I added banner ends with the Hexagon Punch for a finishing touch. I hope you will join the challenge with me this week!  Just go to Try Stampin' on Tuesday for more deta
