Halloween Treats

Image
Fall is quickly approaching so I have changed gears a bit and did a Halloween treat to share today.  I have shown a few gift card holders and a tutorial recently that gave me this idea.  As I was making them, I thought that a treat could easily take the place of a gift card.  And that's just what I did!  Take a look at my first Halloween treat of the season. Are you wondering where the Monster Munchies came from?  This is part of the new DSP called Witches Brew.  One of the designs is a bunch of words and phrases, so I cut out Monster Munchies as it was the perfect size and wording.  I made the gift card holder as I showed you in my recent tutorial.  But instead of a gift card, I added CANDY! The small packages of M&M's fit just right in the slot!  How cool is that?!  This would be such a cute treat to send to school with your kids or have as favors at a party.  The bottom part of the inside uses the bird from Toil & Trouble...

Dressed Up Pop Up Card

Image
I have another Pop 'n Cuts card to share today.  This time I used it the traditional way for a Dressed Up card.  I used Blushing Bride and Crumb Cake again, it's such a beautiful combination. Blooming with Kindness is the stamp set used for this card.  Here's what I did. 1.  Cut Blushing Bride card stock with Pop 'n Cuts base.  Also cut a dress form insert for inside the card, used Blushing Bride card stock for that as well. 2.  Die cut 2 dress forms from Crumb Cake card stock and stamped them both with the flower in Blushing Bride ink. 3.  The front of the card has a large doily that was in my daughter's stash of craft goodies.  I added a die cut from Apothecary Accents Framelits in Whisper White stamped with Blushing Bride flowers. Added tafetta ribbon and pearls to the dress and adhered it to the Apothecary die cut. 4.  The inside has several layers of paper, let me show you. The Pop 'n Cuts insert has  a scalloped bottom edge that I ...

Blooming with Kindness Birthday Card

Image
Today's card was made for my Mom, her birthday is tomorrow.  I wanted a soft floral card, so I went with Blooming with Kindness.  It is a beautiful flower and has a great birthday greeting as well.  After choosing the stamp set I wanted to work with, I thought about my colors.  Blushing Bride has been off my radar for awhile, so I thought it was time to use it and Crumb Cake.  I think these two colors look gorgeous together.  Here's how the card came together. 1.  Cut my card base from Blushing Bride card stock using the Pop 'n cuts base.  2.  Stamped the flower in Crumb Cake on Whisper White and die cut it with a circle framelit. 3.  Die cut a Window Framelit from Crumb Cake to layer the flower on. 4.  After the flower is layered on Crumb Cake, paper pierced free hand around the circle.  Adhered the flower to a retired Blushing Bride DSP and paper pierced around the Crumb Cake.  Added the DSP to the front of the card. A Soft and Pretty Bridal Shower Pop Up

Image
Today I have a card to share that I for a bridal shower.  I wanted a Wow factor so I made a pop up card.  I also wanted it to match the invitation that my Mother-In-Law received so I used Pool Party and Pink Pirouette.  Here's the front of the card. The base card is Pool Party embossed with the Elegant Lines EF, it has a soft bridal look to me.  I added in pearls all over the card and a greeting.  The greeting "for your shower" is from Teeny Tiny Wishes.  It was stamped with Pool Party, punched with the large oval punch, then layered onto Pool Party punched with the Scallop Oval Punch.  A couple pearls under the greeting, and the front is complete.  Onto the inside. The inside pop up portion is from the retired Pool Party Designer Paper Pack.  I loved the soft look it gave the inside of the card.  It also allows the dress to stand out more. The dress is done in Whisper White with Lacy Brocade embossing.  A pearl necklace and a Prett...

A Double Flashback Friday

Image
Today's card for Flashback Friday was made with not one but TWO flashback stamp sets.  First set is Nature Sketchbook, a Level 3 hostess set from the 2003-2004 Idea book and Catalog.  Second set is Basket of Kindness, a Level 3 hostess set from the 2002-2003 Idea Book and Catalog. Here is the fun pop up card I created using these two sets and some punches.  First the outside of the card.  And then the inside of the pop up card. Let's talk about the outside first.  I used Nature Sketchbook for the focal point on the card front.  The strawberries were stamped with StazOn Black ink on Glossy White CS.  I cut them out with a Lables Framelit.  Let's look at it closer. First, the base CS is Crumb Cake embossed with the Honeycomb EF to look a bit like a basket.  I used a doily (yes, again!) in the center of the card to build my focal point on.  To make the strawberries stand out a bit better, I adhered the label die cut to Real Red CS and cut ...
