Inspiring New Cling Stamps!

Image
The new Occasions Catalog not only brings amazing products to create with, but an easier way to do it!!  It's the new CLING STAMPS that make stamping with red rubber easier!  All of the clear block rubber stamps that I've gotten over the last few years have never had the stickers added.  I found that the stickers kept the stamps from staying on the clear block.  Well those days are over!  Stampin' Up! has introduced new CLING STAMPS that stay on the block with the stickers on!  They have started out with quite a few of the new stamps having this cling sticker and I am super excited about it.  I tried out one of the stamps and have a card and tip to share with you.  This card uses the Sale-a-Bration set called PART OF MY STORY.   I loved the sentiments in this set immediately, very sweet and very useful!  With this set having the new cling stickers, I thought I'd show you how I use mine.  The stickers are quite tacky, so getting them off the block without damage is para...

Ring in the New

Image
Welcome to another Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop!  This week our theme is RING IN THE NEW. Hard to believe that 2016 is ending!  This year has flown by and been quite a whirlwind!  To welcome in 2017, I used IT'S A CELEBRATION from the Holiday Catalog. I added a pop of pink after being inspired by the POP OF PINK DSP and WASHI TAPE.  To bring in the pink I went with a Melon Mambo card base and added in a bit of embossing to add extra pizazz.  The sparkler is heat embossed in black then the "sparkle" is embossed over top in silver.  A couple of sequins from the FANCY FROST SEQUINS and a little WASHI TAPE and the card is all set! My supply list is below so you can give this a try! SUPPLIES: STAMPS:  It's a Celebration, Labeler Alphabet INKS:  Versa Mark PAPER:  Whisper White, Melon Mambo ACCESSORIES:    Pop of Pink Designer Washi Tape, Fancy Frost Sequins, Embossing Buddy, Silver Embossing Powder, Black embossing powder, Heat tool,  Stampin’ Trimmer, ...

Have you seen the AWESOME new Stampin' Up! Catalog??  It's chock full of goodness!!!  Today I have a fun new stamp set to share with you called MARQUEE MESSAGES . Isn't this a fun and bold card!  Lots pink and a bit of bling too! This set is perfect with the new designer paper called POP OF PINK .  Lots of bold and sassy designs give you tons of options!  I used a fun black and white pattern with Melon Mambo paper and ink.  There is also a great set of washi tape that coordinates called POP OF PINK DESIGNER WASHI .  I added in the pink striped design of the washi for a nice little contrast. Did you notice all the bling??  The marquee sign is glammed up with lots of RHINESTONES !  The small ones are just the right size.  I also added SILVER FOIL for the starburst on the sides of the sentiment.  Just another small way to take it up a notch! As you can see, there is a lot of variety with this stamp set!  You have lots of sentiments to work with so you can do anything from a ...

Birthday Blooms for #GDP028

Image
Happy Easter!  Today I have a really quick share for you.  I have one more card for this week's challenge from the Global Design Project.  I used my favorite stamp set BIRTHDAY BLOOMS. I had already made a card for the challenge using Picture Perfect, but I needed inspiration for a birthday card.  So this challenge was the perfect motivation for me!  I have made tons of cards with BIRTHDAY BLOOMS for the Luv2Stamp Group.  As I am nearing the end of my list of birthdays, I am seriously running out of ideas!  One look at the layout of this week's challenge and I knew exactly what I wanted to make! I used a similar layout and color palette.  But this time I used washi tape as one of my design elements. I love the bold black and white stripes with Calypso Coral!  I used alcohol markers to color the flowers then added a birthday sentiment. I just love how the coral pops with the bit of black and the soft Sahara Sand card base.  This turned out better than I expected...love when tha...

I've told you about my immediate love for the PLAYFUL PALS BUNDLE already, but this card really proves just how FUN these products are.  Get ready for some serious cuteness! Is this just too stinkin' cute for words or what????  I just can't help but smile with the little puppy pal! And where did I get my inspiration, none other than this week's sketch challenge from Create with Connie and Mary ! I saw the puppy on green grass when I looked at this sketch, didn't hesitate...just started working! One of the best things about this stamp set is that they thought of everything....including the cute little mouth for the animals.  No more drawing in a mouth with a marker hoping it will turn out right!  Before I get to the supply list, take a look at this fabulous PLAYFUL PALS BUNDLE to see all the goodness you will get at 15% off! Ok, now for the nitty gritty! SUPPLIES: STAMPS: Playful Pals, Sky is the Limit (clouds), Endless Thanks (sentiment) INKS:   Archival Black,...

Wonderland Flat Shaker

Image
I've been away for a week, sorry I haven't shared any ideas with you.  We just moved to a new house after living at the previous house for over ten years.  Do you know how much stuff a family of 5 can collect in that amount of time??  A LOT!!  We are exhausted but glad to be settling into our new home.  Things are still chaotic, but I am SO READY to get back to stamping and sharing!! Here's a fun card I made before all the moving started, it's with my favorite set WONDERLAND. I just love these flat shakers!  It's hard to see in the picture, but there are trees stamped behind the vellum.  I wanted a winter woods effect with the sequins acting like snowflakes.  I even threw in a few of the snowflakes from last year's holiday catalog because they were a perfect fit. Since the trees in the background are harder to see, I added a couple tree tops to the vellum.  I love that they match perfectly with the washi tape......Mossy Meadow is such a lovely color for pine tre...

Creation Station Blog Hop: Thankful

Image
Welcome to the CREATION STATION BLOG HOP!  This is my first month on the team and I am super excited to be a part of this AWESOME group of stampers! We are using fall sets this month with a THANKFUL theme and our feature product is WASHI TAPE. I don't know about you, but I hoard washi tape just like I hoard designer paper.  It's been an ongoing process, but I am making an effort to use up (gasp!) the consumable supplies that I buy.  So, today I have used TONS of washi tape to show you how easy it is to actually use the fun accessories that you buy! I started out with a bunch of washi tape on my desk and thought about what kinds of fun little gifts I could make with things in my craft room.  So I dug through my drawers and came up with some coasters and tea candles. Using four colors of washi, I glammed up the plain goodies that I dug up.  The coasters are so quick to make, just apply strips of washi that overlap to the back.  I added self adhesive felt to the backs of the coast...

Washi Tape Gifts

Image
Welcome to another Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop!  This week we are featuring FALL GIFTS. I went a little crazy and made a bunch of WASHI TAPE LEAVES which I used to embellish my gifts. I just LOVE all the color in these gifts!  A little washi tape can go a long way in adding color and fun to your projects. Just add strips of washi to a piece of cardstock in any design you like.  Then simply die cut a leaf or any other shape, easy peasy!!! This first leaf was the perfect embellishment for my half size MINI TREAT BAG.  I layered on a bit of gold cording then added the leaf with dimensionals.  I also added in a sentiment by die cutting "grateful" from the Seasonal Frames Thinlets set.  I used Blackberry Bliss cardstock, it stands out quite nicely from all of the colorful washi tape. I could have stopped with the treat bag, it's very cute on it's own.  But theses leaves are so easy to make, I just kept going!  I ended up with three more leaves, all diffe...
