Here Come the Penguins!

Image
I made some new penguin magnetic clothes pins to show you plus a couple other penguins I made last year. Here's the group together. I think they are pretty darn cute! Who doesn't love a penguin?! First, here are close ups of the clothes pin clips that I am officially obsessed with making.... I just love theses clips!  The penguins are too cute and I am using up scraps of designer paper that I hoard...um I mean save.. and putting them to good use! I also have a couple penguins from last year to show closer up.   First is the same owl punch art penguin turned into a pencil holder.  This is a great seller at the craft shows for me. Second penguin from last year is made from the top note die cut.  I had note cards tucked in the box last year, but this year I think I might want to find a cute way to package the clothes pins clips in there. Hope you like my penguins as much as I do!!  Be sure to check back, I've got git tags in the works to show you! If it doesn'...

Clothes Pin Magnets

I am loving these clothes pin magnets!  I did a post awhile back with flowers.  This time it's Christmas theme magnets.  So far I have done Rudolph and penguins.  I am super addicted to making these...so there will be more to come!  Rudolph is first...aren't they cute!!  I am trying to use designer series paper that is retired so this project was perfect for that! Here they are all packaged up. I have these at Chapters Bookstore for sale along with Christmas cards I have been working on.  I will show you the penguin clips next, so be sure to check back!! Punch Art Penguins

I have more punch art to share..this time it's penguins!  I love the owl punch for its versatility. Not only does it make a great reindeer, but it makes a great penguin! This is such a great card, very quick to put together.  The card uses two embossing folders (I love those embossing folders!) and a simple greeting.  It couldn't be easier!!  I also made some great clothes pin magnets with the penguin and the reindeer.  Very cute Christmas gifts for teachers or anyone else for that matter!  That will be for next time, so be sure to check back in two days!! Penguin card set

Tonight's share is a top note penguin box.  It holds a set of 4 cards with the penguin made from the owl punch. This box is so cute and can be used for a number of cute little gifts.  Today I chose to put a set of 3x3 cards in it, since I am addicted to making penguins with the owl punch! This whole project comes together quite quickly and makes a great gift.  I have a couple other top note character boxes in the works that I'll be posting next, so come back for a visit.  Thanks so much for looking at my artwork, I appreciate it!  if you need supplies to make your own penguin top note box and cards, you can shop on my Stampin' Up! website . Penguin Pencil Holder Tutorial

Image
Today's share is all about pencil holders.  I think this is such a cute idea...it is super versatile, you can use it for any holiday or event.  Here' a quick tutorial on how to make this cute pencil holder. Start out with a piece of card stock measuring 7 3/4"  x  4 5/8" .  Score the 4 5/8" side at 2 1/8" and 4 1/4". I stamped my snowflake background with a stamp from Serene Snowflakes. I used the white gel pen to add life to the snowflakes. I used a sponge to add white craft ink to make it look like snow on the card stock. To assemble the pencil holder, add sticky strip to the slender area created by the scoring and the bottom.  Here it is assembled. I used my crimping tool to add dimension to the bottom. I used the 1 1/4" circle punch to make a half circle at the top. I added let it snow with a stamp from Punch Pals. I stamped and colored in the penguin from Punch Pals using my versa marker and stamp pads. Here is the completed pencil holder with...

Punch art penguins

Today I'd like to share with you penguin punch art using the new owl punch.  I found lots of great uses for Halloween with this punch, now I am working on Christmas!  My first character is a cute penguin that I used to make a jumbo paperclip bookmark and a matching 4x4 Christmas card. I love penguins and thought this would be a real cute gift to give as a set.  I actually used this duo as a booking gift for my workshop today (thanks for the great party Jackie..I had a blast!).  Here are a couple close ups of the bookmark. This is a super easy little guy to put together, I just cut the ears off the owl, added white for his vest, and pumpkin pie for his nose and feet. Here are close ups of the card, inside and outside. I love how this card turned out.  I used the new snowflake embossing folder from the Holiday Mini Catalog and added some snow by tearing white paper and adding dazzling diamonds glitter.  The final touch, which is impossible to see in photos, i...
