Halloween Treat Ideas

Image
I've compiled a bunch of great ideas for Halloween treats so you can prep for upcoming parties.  You can never start too soon! This first one is a card and treat together.  I used the BAKER'S BOX and HALLOWEEN NIGHTS DSP to create a fun BOX to put treats in.  This comes together so quickly since the DSP does a lot of the work for you! For this treat, create a MINI TREAT BAG with DSP and stuff it with goodies.  In this type of bag I like to put a little pad of paper along with pencils and stickers for kids to have something other than candy.  So many options with the awesome HALLOWEEN NIGHTS DSP. The MINI TREAT BAG thinlit can also be used to make half sized treat bags .  These are perfect for pixie stix, pencil or Twizler.  I decorated this set with COOKIE CUTTER HALLOWEEN and it came together so quickly!  Again, the DSP does a lot of the design work for you. If you don't have die cuts to make the previous treats, why not make something simple and do a matchbox style tr...

Creation Station: New Holiday Products

Image
Welcome to the Creation Station Blog Hop for September!  This month we are sharing cards and projects with our favorite products from the NEW 2016 Holiday Catalog.  We have tons of ideas to share, so be sure to hop all the way around to see everyone has created! I personally look forward to the new Halloween sets and accessories every year.  It's such a fun holiday to create cards and treats for.  I am loving the fun SPOOKY FUN Bundle that has a great stamp set and thinlits. My first idea was a fun little Mini Treat Bag card.  This was SUPER easy to put together yet so cute! The treat bag was made with the HALLOWEEN NIGHT DSP and the MINI TREAT BAG THINLIT.  A few die cuts and a just a little bit of stamping later, I had a fun card ready to go!  Wouldn't it be great to give this card with a treat sized bag of M&M's or some other little candy tucked inside.  With the clean and simple design of this card, you could easily make a bunch of these for a party! This sweet ...

Hello Spring

Image
Welcome to another Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop!  This week our theme is HELLO SPRING so we are featuring FLORAL projects! I have been all about cards lately.  So to switch things up a little, I made a BAKER'S BOX for you today! Doesn't this just scream spring!!  I almost made a Mini Treat Bag, but I thought the BAKER'S BOX was perfect for a grown up Easter gift that I need for Sunday. I wanted light and happy spring colors, so BIRTHDAY BOUQUET DSP was used for the box.  To keep the sentiment bold, I went with the EXPRESSIONS NATURAL ELEMENTS .  The "celebrate" element hangs over the sides a little, but I like how that looks! I kept the flower monochromatic with a layering of Blushing Bride BOTANICAL BUILDER flowers.  I added several leaves as well in different colors to make the flower larger and bolder. Check the supply list below so you can make your own BOTANICAL BLOOMS BAKER'S BOX!! SUPPLIES: DIE CUTS:  Baker's Box Thinlits, Bot...

Halloween Baker's Box

Image
Welcome to another Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop!   This week we are all about HALLOWEEN TREATS! HOWL-O-WEEN TREAT is most definitely my favorite Halloween set this year.  I haven't taken this set of my desk since I got it!  For today's project, I used it to embellish a BAKER'S BOX. I used HAPPY HAUNTING Designer Series Paper to create the box.  I added a small square of Basic Black cardstock inside the box to reinforce the bottom..... I want to load this with tons of candy!! Lots of embellishments make this quite a treat indeed!  A spider web doily created the background for the spooky skull and bones.  A little silver glimmer paper added sparkle to complete the look.  Did you notice the little bit of Bermuda Bay that I snuck in??  I added a small starburst made with one of the thinlits in the BAKER'S BOX set.  I think Bermuda Bay looks gorgeous with Tangelo Twist and Basic Black....a perfect Halloween color combo! Here's a list of products used for...

Mint Macaron!

Image
Welcome to another Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop!   August is all about the new IN COLORS and today we are featuring MINT MACARON. You should be arriving from Mary Brown’s fabulous blog, wasn’t her idea amazing!  If you are just starting out here, welcome and enjoy the ride!  Be sure to stop by all of the blogs to check out the creations we have for you today. Instead of a card, I went 3D today with a sweet little Baker's Box. Is this cute or what?!!!  I have to admit, I got the Baker's Box Thinlet back in May, but up until now I haven't really done much with it.  But I am glad I went in this direction today, I think this box looks great in Mint Macaron! A bit of gold and natural wood add a little interest and coordinate well with Mint Macaron. I used the coordinating set Homemade for You to add polka dots all around the box and on the starburst in the front.  A bit of Mint Macaron Dotted Lace Trim makes a nice closure with a small clothes pin. The lace is...
