Welcome to another Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop!  This week our theme is RING IN THE NEW. Hard to believe that 2016 is ending!  This year has flown by and been quite a whirlwind!  To welcome in 2017, I used IT'S A CELEBRATION from the Holiday Catalog. I added a pop of pink after being inspired by the POP OF PINK DSP and WASHI TAPE.  To bring in the pink I went with a Melon Mambo card base and added in a bit of embossing to add extra pizazz.  The sparkler is heat embossed in black then the "sparkle" is embossed over top in silver.  A couple of sequins from the FANCY FROST SEQUINS and a little WASHI TAPE and the card is all set! Another quick and easy Christmas card for today!  I'm using CHRISTMAS PINES again and featuring the PINE BOUGH EMBOSSING FOLDER with PRESENTS AND PINECONES DSP . While this is an easy card to make, it still is quite beautiful!  The embossed pine needles really make this card stand out.  I even added a little shimmer to them by using WINK OF STELLA. And the designer paper is a perfect match!  The small pinecones and pine branches are a compliment to the card design. I used the framelits that coordinate with SANTA'S SLEIGH to create a golden sled as the centerpiece of my card. With the holidays fast approaching, I have been looking for ways to make simple yet beautiful cards.  Today I let the Designer Series Paper do all the work. I didn't originally intend for the card to be so simple, but I loved the look of this sentiment stamped on the designer paper. I die cut pine needles and pine cones then even pulled out sequins, but it all seemed to be over done.  I tried out each item with the card and it just didn't fit.  Goes to show that sometimes just some simple stamping and beautiful paper is enough!  This would be a great design to mass produce if you needed cards at the last minute. Welcome to another Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop!  This week our theme is INSPIRED BY A CHRISTMAS SONG. One of the first songs to pop into my mind was "Let is Snow" since it's a favorite of mine. To mimic snow in a different way, I used the silver polka dots designer acetate.  Love silver at this time of year....it's so joyful and festive! To keep the silver theme going, I added a silver glimmer reindeer.  He's very majestic, don't you think!! I also went with a bold sentiment and heat embossed "Let it Snow" in white on Basic Black cardstock since it's the song that inspired all of this.  And of course since I love sequins, I had to add in a few of the Fancy Frost sequins.  They were the perfect finishing touch!! Welcome to another Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop!  This week our theme is HOMESPUN CHRISTMAS. Since we are all about homespun Christmas I went with a warm and cozy card featuring COOKIE CUTTER CHRISTMAS and the CABLE KNIT EMBOSSING FOLDER. Anything with cable knit is warm and cozy!!  I even went for dark colors that make you think of warmth when you look at them. I have been all about cards that are easy to create so I can make lots to send out for the holidays.  This card fits neatly into this category, it is very easy to put together and would go quickly when making assembly style.   Below is a complete list of supplies so you can make your own cozy Christmas card. Welcome to another Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop!  This week our theme is NON TRADITIONAL CHRISTMAS COLORS. I went with my favorite bokeh technique to create a beautiful sparkly card with SANTA'S SLEIGH. The softness of the Flirty Flamingo and Whisper White craft ink create a lovely background for the sparkly silver glimmer reindeer. I added a punch of color with a Tempting Turquoise wreath and the sentiment embossed in black.  The sentiment was actually taken from CHRISTMAS PINES.  I liked the font and the size of the sentiment complimented the reindeer. I've gone clean and simple today with the beautiful SANTA'S SLEIGH BUNDLE . I love white on white for the card base and top layer.  The gold glimmer reindeer really stands out and sparkles this way!  I added embossing for more interest and dimension.  The PINE BOUGH Embossing Folder is just perfect for a clean and simple look in white. Adding in a sentiment with EMERALD ENVY gives just a hint of color and really pops on this card.  This has been my color of choice so far for Christmas, I just love it!
