Cool Treats for CCMC452

Image
I've been on a break for the last two months, but I'm starting to post cards again since I love stamping so much!  I've teamed up again with Create with Connie and Mary for the challenges they do on Thursdays and this week we have a beautiful color challenge. So Saffron, Peek-a-boo Peach and Sahara Sand are gorgeous together, especially with spring starting.  I went with COOL TREATS and created a yummy orange creamsicle card. Peek-a-boo Peach is such a delicious color for COOL TREATS ice cream cones.  All of my family love orange creamsicle ice cream so this color combination was an easy one to work with. I created a melted ice cream background using watercolor paper and an aqua painter with the Peek-a-boo Peach ink pad.  A few die cut sprinkles add some fun and we all know I love sprinkles and confetti!  Lastly, the sentiment was stamped on slender banners to layer below the ice cream. Birthday Celebration

Image
Welcome to another Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop!  This week our theme is BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION! I got to use a set for today that I think is super cute and has so many variation possibilities..... CAKE CRAZY. I wanted the card to be bold and bright, so I took color inspiration from FESTIVE BIRTHDAYS DSP.  I added in a little bling for sparkle and love the boost it gives the card.  The colors are gorgeous, but the rhinestones give that little extra something.  Definitely a fun birthday card to brighten up someone's day. Color Fusers Blog Hop: September 2016 - Part 1

Image
Welcome to the first week of the September COLOR FUSE BLOG HOP!  Twice a month on the first and third Monday’s we’ll be bringing you inspiration through color!  September's hops will feature four gorgeous colors. I picked a stamp set you may not have thought of for this set of colors. LIVE, LOVE, GROW is a favorite of mine!  I just love the sweet succulents and sentiments.  I know you would typically think of this set being in neutrals and greens, but I love the idea of throwing in a Sweet Sugarplum succulent along with the Mint Macaron plants. To make this a beautiful but functional card, I added a birthday greeting inside along with a couple more succulents. Let's delve into the nitty gritty and talk about how all the colors from the challenge were used.  Obviously I love SWEET SUGARPLUM, I used it for the card base and one of the succulent plants.  It's a great light purple that reminds me of the old Pale Plum that Stampin' Up! had years ago when I first started stam...
