Hoppy Easter

Welcome to another Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop!  This week we are all about EASTER CARDS! I don't know about you, but I am SO.READY.FOR.SPRING!  And with Easter being early this year at the end of March, I really have spring fever right now!!  So I went with lots of pastels for today and a super cute PLAYFUL PALS bunny. Isn't this just too stinkin' cute!!!  I saw this Easter egg idea on Pinterest and knew it would be the perfect backdrop for a bunny. I die cut an oval from Whisper White to place over four layers of color stamped with the large watercolor stamp in WORK OF ART .  The bunny is layered over top and then lots of little flowers and the sentiment are next.  To get this unique sentiment, I used a most handy tool, the ALPHABET ROTARY STAMP .  I love having this around for occasions such as this where the sentiment I need doesn't exist in the catalog.....a real must have! Watercolor Wings

I have a confession to make......I am SERIOUSLY OBSESSED with WATERCOLOR WINGS!!  Any of you that have this stamp set know exactly what I'm talking about!  There are so many ways to make these gorgeous butterflies, I could sit at my desk and stamp all day! I used the small butterfly for the first time on my card for the Monday Lunchtime Sketch Challenge.  Before I get to all the details, let's look at the sketch. I have to admit, this sketch was definitely a challenge for me.....I had to sit and think awhile!  Once I pulled out Watercolor Wings, things got rolling. I went with my two new favorite In Colors, Watermelon Wonder and Tip Top Taupe for my main colors. I made the butterfly similar to the one I shared for the Single Stair Step Card Tutorial .  I started with a stamped off Sahara Sand base, added Blushing Bride then Watermelon Wonder.  The sentiment comes from a different set, Endless Thanks.  I liked the banner, it pairs nicely with the butterfly.
