Fresh Fruit

Image
Welcome to another Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop!  This week we are featuring a small box or favor. I just got (finally!) FRESH FRUIT so I wanted to incorporate it into my project for today.  A plain white popcorn box and a little stamping was all it took to create this fun gift. Isn't this just too cute!!  I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this gorgeous stamp set!!  The peaches are yummy enough to eat! The box came together quickly, I kept it pretty simple.  An easy tag was made out of a peach.  I stamped my sentiment over top, fussy cut it and added it to the front of the box with a couple of dimensionals. Any treat is more fun to give a a cute box like this!! The POPCORN BOX is definitely not just for popcorn!!!  Okay, I don't know about you, but I am anxious to see the rest of the ideas from the Design Team.  You can check out my supply list below if you'd like to make your own Peachy Popcorn Box. Color Fusers Blog Hop: July 2016 - Part 2

Image
Welcome to the 2nd COLOR FUSE BLOG HOP!  Twice a month on the first and third Monday’s we’ll be bringing you inspiration through color!  July’s hops will feature three gorgeous In Colors. I almost went with a floral card, but I wanted to try using these colors in a different way. I haven't used BALLOON CELEBRATION much and it was calling out to me, so I gave it a try in a clean and simple way. I used bold black and white striped paper for a pop against the Peekaboo Peach card base.  The balloons are done with Flirty Flamingo with the black outline making them stand out nicely.  My favorite little detail though, is the pop of Cucumber Crush in the sentiment.  I love that unexpected bit of color at the end. I hope you enjoyed this unusual idea with the color combo for July.  These three gorgeous colors are must haves to work with!  Are you ready for more inspiration??  Let’s move on to the rest of the Color Fusers Design Team and see what awesomeness they have for us today!  Just

Sweet Cupcake

Image
Welcome to another Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop!  This week we are featuring our favorite new stamp set from the new catalog. The SWEET CUPCAKE BUNDLE was the first thing on my wish list after seeing the new catalog.  I simply love the realistic look of these yummy cupcakes!  And with the bundle you get coordinating framelits so no fussy cutting! The biggest thing to decide when creating these cupcakes was the colors.  You want three distinct layers of color for both the icing and cupcake. This cupcake is chocolate, so I layered Sahara Sand, Tip top Taupe and Soft Suede.  For a fun yummy frosting I went with Soft Sky, Pool Party and Bermuda Bay.  All of these colors are favorites for me, especially Bermuda Bay. To go along with the chocolate cupcake, I went with a Soft Suede card base and a gorgeous gold polka dot paper.  I got the gold polka dots from the beautiful POP OF PINK SPECIALTY DSP.   This is such a a fabulous paper that I didn't add any other bling

Marquee Messages

I have a fun new take on the new stamp set MARQUEE MESSAGES .....I went METALLIC! I have been playing with the awesome FABULOUS FOIL DESIGNER ACETATE and was inspired to put together a card full of SILVER. I went with Basic Gray and Smokey Slate as my coordinating colors.  When put together with silver, you get a fantastic metallic look.  The entire marquee is completely embossed in silver.  I did one on Smokey Slate and one of Basic Gray so I could cut out the arrow to pop up on dimensionals.  I added embossed sentiments as well to make sure they stood out.  To make the outlined sentiment bolder, I colored the letters in with markers. Did you notice the fun polka dots??  That's the FABULOUS FOIL DESIGNER ACETATE I talked about earlier.  I love all the fun patterns and you can use the front in gold or the back in silver! Give the metallic look a try, love the glamour!  You can see the supplies I used below and click on each to shop.  Now is a great time to get items from your wish
