Let's get ready for Halloween!

Image
I don't know about you, but I love little treats and decorations for Halloween.  I am already planning out some party ideas that I thought would be fun to share! I've been busy as you can see!  It all started with the thought of doing a banner and I just kept going and going! Each piece of the banner has different stamps and die cuts from the Howl-o-ween Treat bundle and was way more fun to create than I anticipated!  The panels are each 4" x 6" with the banner end hand cut.  I am actually working on a tutorial to release next week with the instructions for the banner and the treats so you can make your own!  UPDATE: YOU CAN FIND THE TUTORIAL HERE! Now let's check out all the treats.  I wanted a variety so there would be something for everyone's taste. I am well known for my chocolate chip cookies, so a cookie envelope was the first idea to come to mind.  They are 3 1/2" x 3 1/2" and are just the right size for a cookie!  The envelope punch board mad...

Halloween Baker's Box

Image
Welcome to another Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop!   This week we are all about HALLOWEEN TREATS! HOWL-O-WEEN TREAT is most definitely my favorite Halloween set this year.  I haven't taken this set of my desk since I got it!  For today's project, I used it to embellish a BAKER'S BOX. I used HAPPY HAUNTING Designer Series Paper to create the box.  I added a small square of Basic Black cardstock inside the box to reinforce the bottom..... I want to load this with tons of candy!! Lots of embellishments make this quite a treat indeed!  A spider web doily created the background for the spooky skull and bones.  A little silver glimmer paper added sparkle to complete the look.  Did you notice the little bit of Bermuda Bay that I snuck in??  I added a small starburst made with one of the thinlits in the BAKER'S BOX set.  I think Bermuda Bay looks gorgeous with Tangelo Twist and Basic Black....a perfect Halloween color combo! Here's a list of products used for...

Spooky Treat Bag

Image
After sharing lots of MINI TREAT BAGS yesterday, I had to sit down and make more! This is super cute and was soooooo easy to make!  I used SPARKLY SEASONS and the coordinating SEASONAL FRAME THINLITS . I love having framelits for my stamps and when they are bundled at a 15% savings you can't go wrong!! The frame thinlit in the bundle is perfect for the front of the bag that I made from HAPPY HAUNTING Designer Series Paper.  I cut mine in Tangelo Twist and stamped a jack-o-lantern.  His cute little stem is die cut and partially paper pieced to give a green leaf and brown stem.  But my favorite part is the sentiment.  I die cut "spooky" in BLACK GLIMMER PAPER and stamped "greetings" below.  All in all, this bag only took about 15 minutes to make! Do you need more ideas for the Holidays??  Well, I have just what you need, the Mini Sessions from Create with Connie and Mary !  I am so proud to be on the Design Team and we have put together fabulous tutorials to ...

Envelope Paper Mini Treat Bag

Image
One thing I really love to do is find new ways to use a product.  We all want to get the most for our money and using an item for multiple purposes helps us do that.  My stamping friend Cindee Wilkinson used the new Envelope Paper with the Mini Treat Bag Thinlet and I just loved the idea!  She found another way to use the envelope paper and the treat bag, how cool!  I sat down and did a version of my own that I think you'll enjoy. Isn't this fun and happy!  I went with the wood grain pattern in Tip Top Taupe and added a pop of color with a flower made with the new Cotton Paper. Lisa Rhine, another great stamping friend, was my inspiration for the cotton flower.  It was super easy to make, maybe I should do a quick video to share....what do you think?? I also added in a sentiment with Hello You Thinlets, so there is NO stamping on this bag....just die cuts!  Sometimes it's fun to just sit and create with no stamps involved.  I really don't know how I ever lived without t...

Saturday Create with Connie and Mary Blog Hop: For Being You

Image
Welcome to another Saturday Blog Hop!  We've been sharing Sale-a-bration ideas with you during the month of March. You should be getting here from Melissa's blog Rubberfanatics , I always love seeing what she has for us!  If you are starting here, be sure to go all the way through and check out all of the great ideas! This week we got to pick from the new sets if we wanted, so I used For Being You. I love the bold "THANKS" in the set so I just HAD to get it with my last order!  I used the Stacked with Love Designer Paper Stack since there are so many beautiful and bold designs.  And just because this paper was meant for Valentine's Day doesn't mean that 's all you can use if for! I went with a bold striped design for the background and a beautiful little polka dot design for the letters.  To make sure my letters stood out, I added dimensionals to pop them up. It was easy to add the dimensionals, I just cut along the edges for the straight pieces.  I didn...
