Saturday Summer Challenge #4

Image
It's the last Saturday Challenge of the Summer Collection 2014 and I am sad to see it go!  I had soooooo much fun creating projects and cards these last 4 weeks. We have a color challenge for this last Saturday, take a look. Gorgeous colors this week for sure!  When I was looking through previous card sketches from Create with Connie and Mary, I saw one of my favorites and decided to use it for my card. For these wonderful earthy colors I wanted to use Bloom with Hope as my stamp set.  I used Lost Lagoon for my card base, embossed with the Woodgrain EF.  Next, I added a banner of Mossy Meadow.  Over that banner I added a second banner of Sahara Sand.  The flowers are stamped with Sahara Sand with the sentiment stamped in Mossy Meadow over it.  Last little touch is a bit of Lost Lagoon ribbon. This was a quick yet beautiful card! Supplies: Stamps : Bloom with Hope Paper:   Lost Lagoon, Mossy Meadow, Sahara Sand Ink : Sahara Sand, Mossy Meadow Acces...

Mr. Sunshine for CCM312

It's hard to believe yet another week has flown by!  It's Thursday already and I still feel like it's only Monday!  But since it really is Thursday, I have a card to share for this week's color challenge from Create with Connie and Mary .  First, here are the colors we have to work with. I love these colors together, so beautiful!  I wanted to use Ray of Sunshine since it's my set for this week's Summer Collection project.   I needed a little inspiration, so I went back and looked at past Create with Connie and Mary sketches.  Here's what I ended up making. The Moonlight DSP has all three colors, so I chose this layout to incorporate the paper.  I started out with a Blackberry Bliss card base embossed with the Large Polka Dot EF.  The Designer Series Paper strips went next.  Since Sahara Sand is a great neutral color, I used it for the sentiment which I stamped with Blackberry Bliss ink. The sun was so fun to make, the Moonlight DSP came...

Saturday Summer Challenge #3

Image
It's hard to believe, but we are coming to the end of week 3 of the Summer Collection 2014 from Create with Connie and Mary. These past weeks have just flown by!  It's not to late to join us though!  You can still subscribe and see all the amazing projects we have for you.  Just go to Create with Connie and Mary for all the details. Now, let's take a look at the sketch for today. My subscriber exclusive card set for week 3 was Cupcake Party....such a fun set!  So, I did another cupcake card for today's challenge.  Isn't this so fun for a birthday?!  If you haven't gotten this set, you really should....I can't seem to get enough of it!  The cupcakes are so cute with the new Sweet Taffy Designer Series Paper.  For this card, I used 2 different patterns from the DSP.  I combined stripes with polka dots. I wanted lots of bright colors for the focal point, so I used Daffodil Delight, Melon Mambo and Tempting Turquoise to bring the cupcake to life....

A Sunny Summer Saturday Challenge!

Yay for Saturday!  It's been a busy week and I am looking forward to a quieter weekend and STAMPING!  I hope you all had a wonderful 4th of July and are having a nice weekend too! Today I have a sunny card to share for the Saturday Challenge from Create with Connie and Mary .  During the Summer Collection 2014 we will have a challenge each Saturday that we share with everyone.  This week we have a color challenge, take a look. I saw these colors and thought of Ray of Sunshine, one of my new favorite sets.  These colors are perfect for a sunshine card, here's what I came up with. Mr. Sunshine is gorgeous when done with Hello Honey and Baked Brown Sugar!  I simply stamped his face with Baked Brown Sugar on Hello Honey cardstock and die cut a circle with the circle framelits.  Next, I stamped the rays with Hello Honey on Hello Honey cardstock then cut them out with paper snips. The card itself is Baked Brown Sugar with a layer of Coastal Cabana.  I ...

Summer Saturday Challenge

Well, week one of the Create with Connie and Mary Summer Collection 2014 has gone by in a flash!  I love all the fantastic projects, especially since they all feature new products!  To find out more about the collection, visit Create with Connie and Mary . Each Saturday during the collection we have a challenge card that we post for everyone to see.   Here's the sketch for this week.  Since I used Age Awareness for my project this week, I made today's card with it as well. I have to say,  I was not sure about the Photopymer stamps when they first came out.  BUT, now I just LOVE THEM!!  I am really happy that Stampin' Up! has put some in the new catalog since they are so easy to work with.  Age Awareness is such a great set that I have yet to take it off my desk! My inspiration for this card was the new Park Lane Designer Series Paper.  I used the polka dot design for my first layer.  Then added in a second layer of polka dots with the...

Fry Box Thank You

Image
Well, it's the last day of Preview Week for the Create with Connie and Mary Summer Session.  I have had a ton of fun sharing cards made with new stamps.  Today I have a 3D item to share, a Thank You gift made with the new Fry Box Bigz Die. This is such a fun die cut!  The box comes together in a flash!!  Perfect little container for giving treats or a small gift.  I added a container of buttons, this would be a great hostess gift!  I used the new Kraft 12x12 card stock, it's a little heavier than regular card stock and is perfect for this box. Once the box was cut, I used Crumb Cake ink and stamped flowers from the hostess set Bloom with Hope.  After assembling the box, I simply added a flower that was colored with Blendabilities and cut out.  A couple leaves from the Bird Punch and a sentiment. We have lots more to share from the new catalog in the Summer Collection 2014 and now is your last chance to get the Early Bird price!!  Just head ov...

Happy Birthday....again!

Image
I have a birthday card again today!  I took a couple days off from them but now they are back!  I actually used the colors from yesterday's Create with Connie and Mary challenge as the starting point for my card. This was quick and easy to put together.....love that!  I used Bermuda Bay as my base.  I took another piece of Bermuda Bay and embossed it with the Large Polka Dots Embossing folder.  I added it to the card with dimensionals to make it stand out. Next, I stamped my sentiment from Age Awareness with Real Red on Whisper White and die cut it with the largest Deco Framelit.  I added a slender matting of Real Red by fussy cutting with my paper snips. Last little element to add was the stars.  I adhered them with little pieces of dimensionals and added a rhinestone to the center. A fun and bold birthday card that took just 10 minutes to complete! I hope you have been enjoying all the cards for Preview Week of the Create with Connie and Mary Summe...
