Winter Wonderland

Image
Welcome to the CREATION STATION BLOG HOP!  This month we are all about Christmas!  Are you ready yet?  I'm not.......I'm still in disbelief that it's December so I am excited to see the ideas the team has for us today! One of my favorite sets in the catalog is WONDERLAND .  I love the elegant design and that it's not just for Christmas.  For today, I combined it with the coordinating WINTER WONDERLAND VELLUM STACK to create a card and set of vellum gift tags. I started out with the idea to use the WINTER WONDERLAND VELLUM STACK for a mini treat bag to fill with tags. The pine cone vellum is my favorite design, so I created the MINI TREAT BAG with it.  A couple of simple embellishments were just the right touch.  Sometimes less is more! Next, I punched five different designs of vellum with the SCALLOPED TAG TOPPER PUNCH . I tried to keep each of the tags simple and coordinated.  So in comes the SLEIGH RIDE EDGELITS and CHRISTMAS GREETINGS THINLITS .  The two work s...

Wonderland Flat Shaker

Image
I've been away for a week, sorry I haven't shared any ideas with you.  We just moved to a new house after living at the previous house for over ten years.  Do you know how much stuff a family of 5 can collect in that amount of time??  A LOT!!  We are exhausted but glad to be settling into our new home.  Things are still chaotic, but I am SO READY to get back to stamping and sharing!! Here's a fun card I made before all the moving started, it's with my favorite set WONDERLAND. I just love these flat shakers!  It's hard to see in the picture, but there are trees stamped behind the vellum.  I wanted a winter woods effect with the sequins acting like snowflakes.  I even threw in a few of the snowflakes from last year's holiday catalog because they were a perfect fit. Since the trees in the background are harder to see, I added a couple tree tops to the vellum.  I love that they match perfectly with the washi tape......Mossy Meadow is such a lovely color for pine tre...

Bokeh Wonderland

Image
Since yesterday's card featured WONDERLAND, I thought today would be the perfect day to share another Wonderland card.  But this one isn't a shaker is a BOHEK EFFECT card. Is BOKEH perfect for this stamp set or what!!  The softness of the effect looks beautiful with the snowy scene. Although this card seems like it took a lot of effort to make, it really was pretty easy!  It all started with a piece of Whisper White cardstock that I create the bokeh effect on with Lost Lagoon ink and Whisper White craft ink. Once the bokeh effect was complete, the trees were stamped with archival black ink and a few white snowflakes were stamped around them.  I also added snow to the trees with a white gel pen.  The sentiment was embossed in silver on vellum and added to the card along with a few glimmer stars. I think this has become my favorite Wonderland card and I see a new bohek obsession starting! CLICK HERE to SHOP anytime and earn FREE STAMPS SHOP the CLEARANCE RACK and WEEKLY DEALS ...

Snowy Wonderland

Image
Welcome to another Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop!  This week we are featuring Christmas cards using BLUE,WHITE and SILVER. I'm back with another shaker, I thought today's hop would be perfect for this snowy scene. Isn't this wonderful!  I bought a bag full of little snow beads last year and have a ton left to use, so here we go!  The perfect stamp set for this type of card, WONDERLAND. Here's a close up of the shaker.  I stamped the trees in Night of Navy then added silver stars and the snow beads.  To dress up the shaker, I gave it a silver glimmer frame. For a bit more silver and to continue with the snow theme, I added Winter Wonderland Vellum over Whisper White.  This softness allows the bold silver embossed sentiment to really stand out.  I am so pleased with the silver snowscape, what do you think? A Blackberry Bliss Wonderland

Image
I have fallen in love with WONDERLAND in the Holiday Catalog.  You can do so many GORGEOUS cards with this stamp set! See what I mean!  And even better is the fact that this card was pretty simple to make!  It actually has a couple of techniques that come together for the WOW factor. It all started with a piece of Whisper White cardstock if you can believe that!  I brayered on Blackberry Bliss ink with it being darker at the bottom and lighter at the top.  Once I was happy with how the ink looked, I stamped the trees with Black Archival ink. I added in some of the beautiful WINTER WONDERLAND DESIGNER VELLUM and a couple of banners.  The Silver Foil banner has "Silent Night" embossed in silver for a lovely effect.  Before I forget, let me show you where the inspiration for this card came from. I used the sketch challenge from Try Stampin' -or not- on Tuesday .  Now the vellum and banners will make more sense! Looking at the whole card again, you can see that I added more...
