A Sporty Treat

It's time for the Favor/3D item for Week Two of the Card "Create"tions Collection .  This week my featured stamp set was Great Sport so I made a fun little soccer themed treat. Just like last week, I used the Envelope Punch Board to make my box.  I have a little tutorial that I will share with you tomorrow, so be sure to check back! Inside the box is gum, which fits perfectly when the edges are trimmed down. Before I assembled the box, I stamped Gumball Green Gorgeous Grunge splotches on the Gumball Green cardstock. The main design is the flourish from Great Sport stamped with StazOn Black on Whisper White.  I used the third Starburst Framelit from the inside to die cut the flourish. The soccer ball is also stamped with Black StazOn on Whisper White then punched with the 1 3/8" Circle Punch.  To add a bit of color, I added a hand cut mat of Gumball Green behind the ball.  For a little extra pop, the soccer ball is adhered with a dimensional. Hooray for Soccer

It is hard to believe that we are coming to the end of Week 2 of the Card "Create"tions Collection.  Today my card set made with Great Sport is posted and I just love how it turned out!  The cards are exclusive to subscribers and there is still plenty of time to join in the fun!  You can find out all the details at Create with Connie and Mary .  I hope you will join us! Now on to a fun card I made to share with you that is also made with Great Sport. Isn't this soccer card bold and fun!  I love the Honeycomb Embossing Folder, makes a great soccer ball background.  My husband was a soccer player and my kids love it too, so the soccer ball is the first stamp I go to in this set.  I layered Real Red and Pacific Point for the card base to add a pop of color.  Whisper White was embossed with the Honeycomb EF for the background.  To make the soccer ball look, I embossed a piece of Basic Black and cut out the hexagons to glue onto the white. The fo...

Football for TSSC278

Happy Labor Day!  It's Monday and time for a new Lunchtime Sketch Challenge.  Mary Jo has another great sketch for us this week, take a look. I went in a different direction this week in honor of football season starting.  I live just outside Cincinnati, so I am a big Bengals fan.  For the challenge this week I made a fun masculine birthday card with Bengal colors.  I've had Great Sport for awhile now but have yet to break it out and use it!  With fall being just around the corner, I felt it was time.  I love the way this card turned out, perfect for a football fan.  You could easily do this card in any sports team colors for your favorite sports fan! I added stamping to the inside to mimic the outside.  I always stamp something inside my cards, but I always forget to show you.  This card looked extra cool inside so I wanted you to see it!
