Love is in the Air

Happy Valentine's Day!!  I have a perfect card to share with you today since love is in the air!  A BALLOON BUILDERS Valentine! This was such a fun and easy Valentine to create!  A quick one layer card that just requires a little sponging and stamping! I stamped soft Blushing Bride heart balloons all over the card then sponged clouds in the background around them.  I wanted light and airy strings so I used the fine tip on my Pool Party marker to draw them in. See...I told you this was a quick one!  If you still have a couple of last minute Valentine's to make this one is the way to go!  Have a wonderful Valentine's Day!! Beautiful Ride Valentine

Image
I'm going to take a break today from Birthday Blooms and share a Valentine I made for the Creative Crew on Splitcoaststampers. Isn't this fun!  I combined the cute couple from BEAUTIFUL RIDE with HELLO LIFE and the gorgeous HAVE A CUPPA designer paper. This was SO easy to put together.  A couple strips of designer paper and a little stamping is all it took.  I cut out a couple of the hearts from the dsp to scatter over the card and added a sequin or two. This is another way to get more from your everyday stamps.  Add in little details to create cards for holidays or any other occasion you may need.  To make your own BEAUTIFUL RIDE Valentine, just click on the supply list below. to order supplies. Valentines

Welcome to the CREATION STATION BLOG HOP!  This month we are all about VALENTINES!! The big day is less than two weeks away so you've come to the right place.  The blog hop is full of fabulous ideas so make sure you visit all of them!! I was so excited to order new supplies that I didn't think about Valentine's Day being around the corner....so no Valentine sets (sad face).  BUT WAIT!  I know there are others out there that did the same, so I am giving you a couple of Valentines using everyday stamps. This first card was so much fun to make!  If you look closely at the background, you can see the bokeh effect which is a favorite technique of mine.  It gives such a lovely soft look that's perfect for a sky scene. A couple of vellum clouds added in give more interest without overtaking the plane.  And of course since it's a Valentine, I had to add some hearts!  This just goes to show you how versatile SKY IS THE LIMIT really is!  The variety of greetings really makes

Puppy Love

Welcome to another Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop!  This week the theme is Love is in the Air....so we are featuring VALENTINES! I had so many favorites in the new Occasions Catalog that Valentine type sets took a backseat.  So....I made a Valentine with what I had and I think it's just super cute! Isn't this Valentine puppy so sweet!  I have always been a big fan of pink and chocolate so those colors jumped into my head right away! The puppy's "fur" is a design from the beautiful LOVE BLOSSOMS Designer Paper Stack on page 17.  It's intended to coordinate with the Bloomin' Love Bundle, but the paper is so beautiful it can be used with just about anything!  This particular design was simply perfect for my pink and chocolate puppy! I brought in pink with the sponged hearts created with a decorative mask.  They give a nice subtle background and a real Valentine feel to the card.  My biggest dilemma with not getting a Valentine set was what se

Just for You

I have a fun little treat for you today featuring another Sale-a-bration set.  This is another must have stamp set, it has so many uses! I whipped up a little treat for Valentine's Day or any other occasion you want.  It just requires a cupcake liner, a gusseted bag and some candy.  All these items were handy in my kitchen so I had this put together in no time. To decorate by treat bag, I used the new Sale-a-bration set BOTANICALS FOR YOU.  I love this big, bold greeting!  Just stamp and die cut a tag...easy peasy! Once all the candy was in the bag and the tag was done, I simply tied the bag shut with the lovely Watermelon Dotted Lace Trim.  One thing extra I did add inside the bag was a few hearts for a confetti effect.  I also added a few to the outside of the bag with a couple of dimensionals.  I love the extra bit of color! We are getting ready for our JANUARY MINI SESSION with a projects using stamp sets from the new Occasions Catalog and Sale-A-Bration brochures !  Get som

Wood You Be Mine?

Image
It's Monday and time for the Monday Lunchtime Sketch Challenge !!  As always Mary Jo has a fun sketch for us, take a look. I took a little liberty with this sketch and came up with a fun Valentine using Wood You Be Mine. I just LOVE this stamp set, it couldn't be cuter!!  In place of a rectangular design to the side of the circle, I put the lumberjack!!  I just had too much fun making this card!! The Early Espresso card base was embossed with the Woodgrain embossing folder then a piece of Adventure Bound Designer paper was added to the bottom.  Trees stamped with Garden Green ink on Garden Green cardstock were added behind the lumberjack and sentiment. The lumberjack was stamped on Whisper White then colored with blendabilities and fussy cut.   The sentiment was stamped on Crumb Cake cardstock and die cut with a Starburst framelit.  Last element was an ax that was done the same as the lumberjack, colored then fussy cut.  This turned out to be a really fun Valentine, not your ty
