Groovy Love for TSSC347

Image
It's Monday and time for the Monday Lunchtime Sketch Challenge from Techno Stamper .  Here's a look at this week's sketch. For today's card, I pulled out Groovy Love and red glimmer paper to create a fun shaker card. I love black with red, so I paired the Typeset Designer Series Paper with the Real Red in my card. Once the paper was layered on, I added a shaker using red glimmer paper and the punch that coordinates with Groovy Love.  I punched a heart in the center of the glimmer circle then added window sheet and a shaker frame.  The confetti in the shaker was quick and easy to make as well.  I punched hearts from Real Red designer paper from the Brights pack using the Hearts Border Punch.  I also added silver sequins from the Frosted Sequins embellishment from the Holiday Catalog. Lastly, I added the sentiment and a few sequins to the front of the card.  This was a really fun card to put together, shaker cards are my favorite right now!  I hope you are feeling inspire

Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas!!  I hope you all have a most wonderful day!  Even though it's a busy day, I have a card to share for the sketch challenge from Create with Connie and Mary .  Here's a quick look at the sketch. I made a Christmas card (of course!!) for today using Wondrous Wreath.  This is actually the card I gave to my parents this year. I kept this pretty simple by using scraps and extras from my desk.  I had an extra wreath from another project and a whole bunch of Trim the Tree scraps laying about.  It all came together quickly as a result!  The only thing I had to do was stamp and die cut the sentiment and die cut a Cherry Cobbler bow.  I love it when a card comes together so quickly! I hope you have a chance to join the challenge and make a card with me.  Just visit Create with Connie and Mary for all the details plus more great samples from the Design Team. Thanks for visiting!  Merry Christmas! Follow my blog with Bloglovin

Welcome!! I am super excited to be a part of the Creative Blog Hop.  A big THANK YOU to Cindee Wilkinson for asking me to participate!!  Cindee is a great stamping friend of mine, she has a wonderful blog that you can check out HERE . I wasn't sure what to share with you, that is until the December My Paper Pumpkin showed up in my mailbox.  I have been obsessed with sequins, confetti and shaker cards for months now so when I saw the kit for this month I literally squealed with delight! A whole kit of SHAKER CARDS!!  How did they know???!!!  I have to tell you that they did a bang up job with this kit, the cards are so FUN and EASY to make..it's foolproof! Is this awesome or what?!  I made all three card styles in the same sitting.  This first card used the birthday greeting and I made it fairly true to the sample they showed.  I added a couple little extras to the outside for a little extra happiness. I also went along with the sample for this second card.  I love the colors f

Cheerful Tags for TSSC346

It's Monday and time for the Monday Lunchtime Sketch Challenge from Technostamper.  As usual Mary Jo has an awesome sketch for us. I was still in holiday card mode when I made my card for today, so I used Cheerful Tags. The first step in making this card was the colors.  I turned to the Trim the Tree paper stack and chose two patterns to work with. The card base is Crumb Cake which is the perfect subtle base color for the deep Cherry Cobbler and Garden Green that are being showcased.  The decorative paper frames the Garden Green where the tag becomes the focal point.  I added a bit of the Cherry linen ribbon with a staple and placed the tag on the card with dimensionals to make it pop a little.  Lastly, a few sequins were added to add a little touch of sparkle and make the card extra special. So, now it's your turn!  Join me in this week's challenge and make a card.  You can find all the details plus more great samples from the Design Team at Technostamper. Mary Jo Price

Santa Stache for CCMC334

Image
It's hard to believe we are just a week away from Christmas...are you ready??  I'm not!!  I still have lots of decorating to do, not mention shopping.  The one thing I do have done is Christmas cards.  But just because I have them completed doesn't mean they are in the mail!! I am always late on cards, just seems to be my way.  Today I have a fun Santa Stache card to share with you that I made for the color challenge from Create with Connie and Mary .  The colors they chose are perfect for Christmas! Santa Stache was the first stamp set that came to mind when I saw these colors.  I wanted to keep the card clean and simple with Santa being the main focus. The card started out with a Cherry Cobbler base embossed with stars.  A banner from the Party Pennants die came next with the sentiment stamped along the bottom. Santa was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with Cherry Cobbler and Flesh Tones Blendabilities. Last little touch was a few Silver Glimmer stars c

Holiday Home for TST

I have holiday card to share today for the sketch challenge from Try Stampin' on Tuesday .  Here's a quick look at the sketch for this week.   I am still in holiday card mode so I pulled out Holiday Home and my heat gun to make this fun sparkly card. I just LOVE the houses from this set!!  And they worked out perfectly with this weeks sketch, a smaller house in between two taller.  I added in Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer paper for snow and stars in the sky.  The houses are all heat embossed in white and die cut so the card came together quickly. So...now it's your turn!  If you are still needing to make holiday cards like me, why not make one using this week's sketch!  You can find all the details plus more great samples at Try Stampin' on Tuesday. Thanks so much for visiting!  Happy Stamping! Follow my blog with Bloglovin

Wondrous Wreath for TSSC345

Image
Welcome!  It's Monday and time for the Monday Lunchtime Sketch Challenge from Technostamper .  Here's a look at the fun sketch Mary Jo has for us this week. I love this sketch, but I wanted to do something a little different.  I flipped the sketch and used a standard size card base in place of this longer one. Isn't this bright and cheerful?  I love using non-traditional colors for Christmas cards, it makes me smile....especially when pink is involved! I started out with a Pink Pirouette card base stamped with the Hardwood background in the same color.  A banner of Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer paper comes next to add a some sparkle. The wreath is my favorite part of the whole card.  The leaves are stamped with Bermuda Bay and Pool Party then topped with Strawberry Slush berries.  A Silver Foil bow adorns the top with a small circle of Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer paper in the center. The wreath is popped up with dimensionals on a piece of Strawberry Slush that has the sentiment f

Letterpress Winter for CCMC333

Welcome!  I have a beautiful wintery card to share with you today for the Thursday Challenge from Create with Connie and Mary .  Here's the fun sketch we have to work with this week. I love when the designs include an unusual shape, makes the challenge all the more fun!  I pictured snowflakes when I saw the buttons, so I used Letterpress Winter for my card today. I was pleasantly surprised with how quickly my vision came together.  The first thing I did was pick out the Designer paper to use.  I went with one of the Smokey Slate designs from All is Calm DSP to contrast with the Lost Lagoon card base.  The first thing I added to the card was a strip of All is Calm Washi Tape.  I love that the stripes match perfectly with the sketch. For the focal point, I layered Whisper White over the Designer paper and added my sentiment.  I placed snowflakes along the bottom, falling over the edge of the paper.  The first snowflake is stamped with Soft Sky directly on the paper.  Next, I stamped

Snowflakes for TSSC344

Welcome!  I haven't shared much this last week, my daughter's birthday party consumed all my time.  But I'm getting back into my regular routine, and as such I have a card to share for the Monday Lunchtime Sketch Challenge .  First, here's the great sketch Mary Jo has for us this week. I pulled out the November My Paper Pumpkin to see if it could be used for this sketch.  The die cut snowflakes caught my eye, so I centered my card around them. To match the snowflakes, I used a Lost Lagoon card base with a layer of All is Calm Designer Series Paper. The focal point is also built around Lost Lagoon.  A piece of Silver Glimmer Paper and rhinestones make the snowflakes really stand out and sparkle. A simple sentiment from the MPP kit finishes off the card nicely.  It came together so quickly, this would be a great layout for making a large amount to mail out for Christmas cards. Now it's your turn!  Why not join me and make a card of your own with this week's sketc
