Holiday Collection Week 4 Blog Hop!

Image
Welcome to the final Blog Hop of the Create with Connie and Mary Holiday Collection!!  The last four weeks went by so fast, but I had such a great time!! Each Design Team member has made a card with the set they used in week four, and I know you will want to make your way around to see them all.  The projects for the collection have been out of this world, I'm sad it's over already!!  If you're not a subscriber, it's not too late to join in the fun.  You can find all the details on Create with Connie and Mary.   You should be getting here from Melissa's blog, I love her cards, she is so creative!  My set for this week was Wintertime.  I almost made a shaker card, but I liked the look of the see through window by itself. I love how this card turned out, and it was pretty simple to make!  I started with a Coastal Cabana card base that I die cut an oval out of.  I added a piece of window sheet cut in an oval one size up to make the windo...

Holiday Collection Week 3 Blog Hop!

Image
Welcome!!  It's the end of week 3 of the Create with Connie and Mary Holiday Collection and we have a great blog hop for you!  Each Design Team member has made a card with the set they used in week three, and I know you will want to make your way around to see them all.  The projects for the collection have been out of this world!  If you're not a subscriber, it's not too late to join in the fun.  You can find all the details on Create with Connie and Mary. You should be getting here from Melissa's blog, she always has amazing cards and projects to share.  My set for this week was Wondrous Wreath.  I absolutely LOVE this set!! So much versatility with the holidays and ways you can use it.  So, instead of making just one card for the blog hop today, I made a set of 4 gift cards. The wreath fits just perfectly on the front of a 3" x 3" card.  I love to have these little cards on hand to tuck into gift bags.  Each card is unique, so ...

It's the end of week 2 (already!) of the Holiday Collection from Create with Connie and Mary and we have a BLOG HOP for you!  Each Design Team member has made a card with the set they used in week two, and I know you will want to make your way around to see them all.  The projects for the collection have been out of this world!  If you're not a subscriber, it's not too late to join in the fun.  You can find all the details on Create with Connie and Mary. You should be getting here from Melissa's blog, she always has amazing cards and projects to share.  My set for the week was Letterpress Winter paired with the Snowflake Flip Card thinlet Die. This awesome set of die cuts is so fun to work with.  I am in the process of planning a Frozen birthday party for my daughter, so I went ahead and made her invitation a flip card.  She sat next to me and "directed" me with what she wanted.  Of course, the colors are very important...frosty cool colors make...

Week One Blog Hop: Cheerful Tags

Image
The first official Blog Hop of the Holiday Collection is here!  Each of the Design Team members is sharing a card made with the stamp set featured in this week's projects for the Holiday Collection from Create with Connie and Mary . You should be arriving from Melissa Davie's blog , be sure to hop all the way around so you don't miss anything! My project for week one of the Holiday Collection featured Cheerful Tags and Trim the Tree Tag Bag Kit.  For my card, I used the kit and added in Under the Tree Specialty Designer Series Paper. I love the heavy weight of the specialty paper so I used it as my card base.  I like the inside having embellishment, so this paper worked out great! I wanted to focus on the Trim the Tree kit, so I used it for the focal point of the card.  The base tag and the tag layered on top are both from the kit.  I stamped the sentiment and trees from Cheerful Tags directly on the top tag and it turned out nice and crisp. For a pop of color,...

Cheerful Tags

Welcome!  It's Friday (already!) and today my first project posted for the Create with Connie and Mary Holiday Collection.  I used Cheerful Tags and Trim the Tree Tag a Bag Kit for my tutorial.  It's not too late to subscribe and join us!  Just visit Create with Connie and Mary for all the details!  I made a set of four tags to show you today using the same items, the Trim the Tree Tag a Bag Kit and Cheerful Tags. The Trim the Tree Tag a Bag Kit is SO fun to work with, these tags came together with ease!  For this set, I used the banner shaped tags in four different designs.  Here's a close up of each. I changed the colors and ribbons up a little with each so there was a lot of variety.  Each tag has a different ribbon and little extras to make them unique.  The first tag has a custom colored ribbon.  I need a green ribbon but didn't have the right one, so I used the white organza and Old Olive blendabilities marker to make one! I hope ...

Festival of Trees Treat Box

Image
Welcome back!  Today is the final day of preview week for the Holiday Collection and I have a treat to share with you.  Before I do, I want to share the link for today's FREE TUTORIAL and BLOG CANDY.  Just head over to Create with Connie and Mary for more details!! Now on to today's treat.  I really love the Tiny Treat Boxes so I made another one to share. These are just so stinkin' cute and so quick to make, I know I will be doing more!  The back of the box has paper from Trim the Tree designer paper stack.  Instead of putting paper around the outside of the box like the last one, I stamped instead.  I wanted a snowy feel and the beautiful snowflake from Cheerful Tags was perfect for the job.  I stamped all around the outside with White Craft ink then set it aside to dry while I worked on the rest. The treat inside the box is the same as the previous one .  I used the 1 3/8" circle punch and Trim the Tree designer paper to embellish the m...

Now, on to the super cute treats I have for you today.  I got this idea from Sam at Pootles .  She made a great video on how to make these cute little candy holders.  They are easy to make and quick too!  So I gave it a go and made a set of three to share with you. Now how is that for cute and sparkly to boot!   Each box is made with a 4" x 4" piece of paper....that's it!  Just add some embellishments and candy and you're done! The first box I made uses a piece of the Smokey Slate design.  I LOVE this paper, it's just gorgeous!  I kept the embellishments simple with silver glimmer stars and silver sequins. ...
