A Pop-Up Birthday

Image
Today I have a birthday card to share made with the Dress Form Pop 'n Cuts from the Spring Catalog.  I needed a birthday card at the last minute for my Father-In-Law, something with a WOW factor since we were giving a gift card.  I decided to do a pop up with a birthday theme.  The outside of the card looks simple, cause it is!  I did DSP and a belly band with a simple birthday greeting. For the inside, I used Patterned Party and the new Polymer stamp set.  Take a look. The pop up portion of the card is done using the top note die cut adhered to the dress form.  I layered polka dot DSP with Whisper White.  I added in the banner from the new Polymer set stamped on DSP.  I stamped the cake from Patterned Party using markers to color it.  The candles were stamped directly to the Whisper White then I attached the cake. The cake was adhered to Marina Mist CS then cut out so it stood out a little better against the white CS.  The bottom of the...

It's Monday!  Time for another Monday Lunchtime Sketch Challenge!!  Here is a look at today's sketch that Mary Jo gave the team. Here is my card for the sketch. I made a card with lots and lots of embossing for this sketch.  I liked the soft colors of Blushing Bride and Crumb Cake for a wedding card.  The card base is Crumb Cake with a layer of Very Vanilla embossed with the Lacy Brocade EF.  The Blushing Bride CS was die cut with the Top Note Bigz Die and embossed with Manhattan Flower EF.  The Crumb Cake rectangle under the greeting is embossed with Lacy Brocade EF too.  The greeting is from Word Play, stamped in Crumb Cake with a rhinestone jewel for the ring.  This was a really easy sketch to work with, I really enjoyed it!  You can join in too, just make a card using the sketch and go to Technostamper to post what you've done. Here is a list of the other team members so you can see what they made for the sketch this week. Mary Jo Price...

Christmas Top Note Purse

Image
Today I'd like to share a project that is perfect for giving at Christmas time.  It's a top note purse.  I will be giving handmade hair bows to my daughter in this particular purse.  I love the Candy Lane DSP, this polka dot paper with the glitter is so gorgeous! I used real red satin ribbon for the flower on the front and the handles.  I used velcro dots for the the closure, as I'm sure Sofia will be opening and closing this cute little purse a lot! Thanks so much for stopping by, I have been offline for about a month now due to getting the blue screen of death on my laptop:(  I am catching moments here and there on Hubby's PC.  Hopefully I will get a chance to post at least once a week if not more.  I have tons of projects to share so stay tuned! if you'd like to purchase supplies to make your own Top Note purse, you can shop 24/7 on my Stampin' Up!
