Welcome to another Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop!  This week our theme is HOMESPUN CHRISTMAS. Since we are all about homespun Christmas I went with a warm and cozy card featuring COOKIE CUTTER CHRISTMAS and the CABLE KNIT EMBOSSING FOLDER. Anything with cable knit is warm and cozy!!  I even went for dark colors that make you think of warmth when you look at them. I have been all about cards that are easy to create so I can make lots to send out for the holidays.  This card fits neatly into this category, it is very easy to put together and would go quickly when making assembly style.   Below is a complete list of supplies so you can make your own cozy Christmas card. Now that I'm in full out Christmas mode, I am loving the gorgeous for CHRISTMAS PINES BUNDLE. Add this bundle to the coordinating PRESENTS AND PINECONES DSP and you can't go wrong!  The colors are so amazing, I can't get enough of the new In Color EMERALD ENVY.   It's absolutely the perfect green for Christmas! I also used one of the new embossing folders, PINE BOUGH .  It creates a beautiful background without a lot of work.  It looks fabulous behind my sentiment without any extra bells and whistles.  The only thing I added in was a little bling (couldn't help myself!).  The FANCY FROST SEQUINS coordinate perfectly and give a nice little sparkle to the card to compete the look. I normally stick to a collection of my favorite colors for card making.  For today's card, I used a color that I rarely touch...Night of Navy. Isn't Night of Navy pretty when paired with Blushing Bride!  I started out knowing I wanted something a bit different so I also included an embossing folder that I rarely use, BOHO CHIC .  I like the texture plus it gives the card a lot more interest!  But there's still more, this isn't a typical card....... It's an easel card!  I love how easy these cards are to make yet they have a terrific WOW factor.  A small flower stamped and a punched flower make a simple holder to make the front of the card stand. The flowers are all built from BOTANICAL BUILDERS and the ITTY BITTY ACCENTS PUNCH PACK .  I also threw in a couple of leaves from the ROSE GARDEN THINLITS .  Using a couple shades of green, Pear Pizzaz and Old Olive, gives more depth.  The sentiment is pulled from ROSE WONDER the set that coordinates with the ROSE GARD...

Welcome to another Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop!  This week we are celebrating Sale-a-bration with TAGS! We could choose anything from the Sale-a-bration catalog to make the tag with, so I went to my favorite set HELLO. Did you notice that I actually featured TWO Sale-a-bration sets on this tag??  Yep, I added in the gorgeous FLOWERING FIELDS set as well!  I am a HUGE fan of lavender, so that's the first thing that popped out when I saw this set.  And how nice is a big hello and lavender??  Very for me!! As I designed this tag, I encountered the dilemma of the "hello" being so ginormous.  How in the world do you fit a greeting like that on a 2" wide tag??  Well, you get inventive and add a ginormous Wisteria Wonder banner to hold that greeting!  And to make it stand out even more, I heat embossed it in white and added bling. Welcome to another Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop!  This week we are featuring Christmas gifts or favors!  Lots of ideas for gifts to give out to teachers, friends and anyone else that needs to be appreciated at this time of year. I pulled out my envelope board and created a couple of hot chocolate gifts that are easy to make and would be loved by anyone. Aren't these great!!  Best part, they are very easy to make so you can have lots to hand out! To make these all you need is some designer paper and an envelope punch board.  Cut the paper 6 3/4" x 6 3/4" and follow the directions for the 3 1/2" x 4 1/2" envelope on the punch board.  So your first score mark is at 3" then just rotate the paper and line up with the score lines.  Once your scoring is done.  Fold up 3 flaps and cut off the last one which will be one of the shorter sides.
