I'm back for card number two!  This one is for the Monday Lunchtime Sketch Challenge from Technostamper .  Per ususal, Mary Jo has an awesome sketch for us. I usually don't make square cards, I adapt the sketch to a standard size.  But this time, I went ahead and used the square design to create a beautiful frosty winter scene card with White Christmas. Is this the perfect winter scene or what?!  Like I said earlier...I love this sweet little bear.  So for this scene, I had him standing on the hill looking up at a Christmas cardinal. The card base is Pool Party with a square of All is Calm Designer paper in the center.  I also added in Lost Lagoon Taffeta ribbon (so yummy!) and Silver Glimmer paper.  These frosty elements set up the focal point beautifully.  The snow seems real with the Dazzling Details shimmering along the hill.  The bear is stamped separately and added to the card with a small bit of dimensional.  He looks more realist...

Monday's here (already!) and as usual I have two cards to share.  This first post is for the Creative Challenge Club sketch. In keeping with the Christmas cards I've been working on the last few weeks, I made a card with White Christmas for the challenge. I just LOVE the sweet little polar bear in this set.   When I saw a bag of fake snow at the Dollar Tree, I bought it knowing I would make great shaker cards with this set. The frosty All is Calm Designer Paper is so beautiful with the white snow in the shaker.  Kind of makes you feel cold looking at it!  Per usual I used window sheet and dimensionals to construct the shaker.  The cut out for the scene is one of the Chalk Talk framelits, it fit perfectly. I added in a few other details to make the card extra special.  A couple of snowflakes with rhinestones on the shaker brighten up the focal point.  And of course I always add in stars and silver glimmer paper! Welcome!  Today I am sharing another fall watercolor using White Christmas to make a card for the sketch this week at Try Stampin' on Tuesday .   During the month of October we at Try Stampin’ On Tuesday are having some Halloween fun and we want you to have some fun too.  This week, we have a word scramble for you to participate in.  Simply unscramble these two words – plus those on the other designers’ blogs and your name will be entered in a draw. I'm back for a second card today, this one is for the Monday Lunchtime Sketch Challenge from Technostamper. I just got White Christmas and couldn't wait to get ink on it.  I went in a different direction from my previous card and used watercolor paper with a fall theme. I love the serene look of this card.  Fall is my favorite time of year and this card really makes me smile! I kept the background really simple so the focus is on the watercolor.  A piece of Motley Monsters Designer paper with falling leaves was a perfect fit. I love the fall leaves that were created on the trees with just a bit of ink and my aqua painter.  The watercolor paper gives the fuzzy, soft look that I wanted this card to have. The last details was the sentiment.  I chose one from Trust God, it was perfect for the card.  I stamped it on Hello Honey with Staz On Black ink and die cut it with a Banner Framelit.
