Welcome back to Flashback Friday!  This week we are traveling back to 1999 for the set On the Go.  I got this set for masculine cards, lots of on the go activities!  Here is a picture of the set. I am trying to keep a balance of how many girly cards I make versus guy cards...it never balances!  So I went with a fun guy card since I already had Gorgeous Grunge out from yesterday's card.  Take a look. Fun guy card, huh!  What guy doesn't love to go out and get muddy on the ATV?!  I had a blast making this card, there a two great new stamp sets this year that work perfect with it!  The first of course is Gorgeous Grunge, and the second is Rev Up the Fun.  The greetings are PERFECT for this stamp! Here's the basics of what I did.  Went with Whisper White card base.  Added splotches and such from Gorgeous Grunge using Crumb Cake Ink, Soft Suede Ink, and Sahara Sand Ink.  Added the birthday greeting from Rev Up the Fun, stamped with ...

I have a fun card to share today that I made for the Saturday Challenge at Create with Connie and Mary.  We are at the end of week three for the Summer Collection 2013 and the projects are just amazing!  They are also having a Saturday Challenge to go along and I was able to get a card made this week.  First let's look at the sketch we have.   What a fun sketch!  I actually altered my card to be vertical as I prefer them.  Take a look. This was such a fun card to make, Rev Up the Fun set is so easy to work with.  I kept with the sketch, just centered the focal point instead of having it off center.  Here' what I did. 1.  Picked out Crumb Cake as my card base.  Also picked out my other colors, Basic Black and Polka Dot Parade DSP. 2.  Cut the DSP and decided on what to do for the scalloped part of the sketch.  Since I am doing a masculine card, I decided against scallops and tried something new.  I took my hexagon punch and...

Today I have a challenge card to share instead of my usual See it Again Saturday card.  I am a Guest Designer for the Create with Connie and Mary Summer Collection 2013 which is very exciting!  During this month as the Summer Collection is going on, there is a Create Saturday Challenge each week.  This week is a fun sketch challenge. Isn't this a great layout!  I am using Rev Up the Fun for my project for the Summer Collection 2013, so I went ahead and used it for this first Saturday Challenge as well. I must say that this set is sooo much fun to work with!  When I saw the sketch for this week's challenge, I saw this card right away.  So, let's get on with the details.  My colors this time are Real Red, Crumb Cake, Basic Black Whisper White and Basic Gray.  The Crumb Cake card base is embossed with the Chevron EF which goes perfect with this stamp set.  The Real Red layer goes on next, it makes the car stamped on Whisper White really stand o...

Monday's here, time for a new Monday Lunchtime Sketch Challenge at Technostamper.  Here's a look at the great sketch we have for this week. I have been working with Rev Up the Fun from the new catalog so I used it for this card. I have really gotten into using the new Smokey Slate lately, so I used it for today's card.  The card base is Smokey Slate , no embossing either!  It's funny, I feel the need to emboss just about every card base and I have now made three cards for this week that have none!  I stamped the motorcycle in the Smokey slate and the greeting in Pacific Point.  I think these two colors and Basic Gray look wonderful together.  I used the Heart a Flutter bundle to make the striped banners.  The finishing touch for the layout is the Basic Black Chevron Ribbon.  I just love this color combination!  You can be sure I'll be using these colors more! Today I have a really fun card to share using Rev Up the Fun from the new catalog.  This card was designed for a very special reason....I am a Guest Designer for the Create with Connie and Mary Summer Collection 2013 !  How cool is that!!  I have been designing a card for Create with Connie and Mary each week as a Thursday Challenge Team member and I just love it!  Now I get the chance to design more than a card...I have a very fun 3D project that I have designed exclusively for this Summer Collection.  First let me go ahead and show you today's card, then I will fill you in on all the details about the Summer Collection.
