Mosaic Madness for CCMC263

It's Thursday and we have a new challenge from Create with Connie and Mary .  This week is a sketch challenge, here's a look. I wasn't sure where to go with this at first.  I ended up choosing Mosaic Madness so I could make my own patterned paper.  Here's the card I made. I had Polka Dot Parade DSP sitting out from a previous project, so I picked the Razzleberry paper to start out with.  I love the look of Razzleberry and Coastal Cabana so I made a pattern on Whisper White with those two colors.  I added the DSP and my home made pattern in the shapes of the sketch on the Coastal Cabana card stock.  I made my card base Whisper White with the intention of a Razzleberry layer then realized I was out!  I only had a tiny bit of the DSP left which is why you only see Razzleberry on the sides instead of a full background mat.  I added in small punched flowers with Candy Dots and my greeting to complete the card.  This was a fun challenge, I hope you...

Today I have another clean , modern looking card to share.  I made this one for the Thursday Challenge at Create with Connie and Mary.  This week we were given a color challenge to work with. I have never paired these colors, but I really like the way they look together.  I did a card using Mosaic Madness, take a look. I love the way my card turned out, here's the details. 1.  Picked Bermuda Bay for the card base.  Used corner rounding punch for lower right and upper left corners.  My punch would not go through two layers on the top corner, so I cut along the marks made by the punch. 2.  My Whisper White layer has the same corners rounded off and paper piercing added to the opposite corners. 3.  I stamped my mosaics on a separate piece of Whisper White and punched them out.  I arranged them in the pattern I wanted, then adhered them with dimensionals.  I added small pearls to the center of each one. 4.  Lastly, I added the Happy Bir...

Make a Wish

I have a quick card share today using Mosaic Madness.  I wanted to make a bright and cheerful birthday card, here's what I came up with. I paired Strawberry Slush and Daffodil Delight.  Here's the details: 1.  Card base is Whisper White.  I rounded the bottom two corners and added large scallop paper piercing around three sides. 2.  Used Quatrefancy DSP in Strawberry Slush measuring 5" x 3" with the bottom two corners rounded. 3.  Stamped a pattern in Daffodil Delight with one of the stamps from Mosaic Madness on Whisper White.  Then die cut a circle with the circles framelits.  I used the fourth circle in from the largest, measures 3 3/16". 4.  Stamped sentiment from Sweet Essentials in Strawberry Slush and added Candy Dots. 5.  Final piece is a paper bow made with the Quatrefancy DSP added under the sentiment. That's the short and sweet of it!  I hope you like my bright and happy card!! If it doesn't move...stamp it!! Nicole Tugru...

Strawberry Slush and Coastal Cabana Mosaics

Image
I am sorry to say that I don't have a flashback share for today :(  It's been a busy week with Vacation Bible School, so I didn't get a chance to do my usual flashback card.  Check back next week and I'll have one for you!  Instead I will be sharing a Mosaic Madness card I made last week. I have already said it but I'm saying it again, I LOVE THE NEW IN COLORS!  I am so into these colors and how well they go together.  This card uses Strawberry Slush and Coastal Cabana.  I made a pretty simple card.  The base is Strawberry Slush with a layer of Coastal Cabana.  The Whisper White layer is a simple pattern stamped with the mosaics.  I added rhinestone gems to make the mosaics prettier.  The greeting was simple too.   Make a Wish from Sweet Essentials was stamped in Strawberry Slush and die cut using the Window Framelits.  The Coastal Cabana layer underneath was hand cut so it would be a smaller matting.  More rhinestones add...

See it Again Saturday

The weekend is here!  We are having hot and humid weather here in Ohio, all the more reason to stamp!  Today I have a card that is a re-do of a layout from last week.  I really loved the design that I came up with for my Thursday Create with Connie and Mary color challenge using Island Indigo, Summer Starfruit, and Early Espresso.  You can click HERE to go back to my post for the original card.  I used different colors and changed the design slightly, check out the new version. Don't you just love the Smokey Slate paired with Coastal Cabana??  I do!  This is a wedding card, it is June after all.  I didn't want it to be too girly, so these colors really fit the bill.  As far as re-designing goes, I changed a couple things slightly.  Besides the colors, I made the Window Framelit die cut the next size up.  To get the mosaic pattern, I first stamped my pattern on a square piece of CS then die cut with the framelit.  This not only...

It's Thursday and time for a new challenge at Create with Connie and Mary.  This week we have a color challenge to work with. I love the masculine feel of this color combo, I haven't try this one out before.  I ended up going with Mosaic Madness, here's what I made. I must confess that Summer Starfruit is a color I never use.  I don't even own the ink pad.  I have the card stock though, therefore I chose it as the card base.  I added in a mosaic design to the card base, but I used Versa Mark to get around the no ink pad issue.  I often over look the value of Versa Mark, nice to have it around!  Let's look closer at the focal point of the card. My focal point is a stamped mosaic design that was die cut with a window framelit.  I stamped the design before cutting it so I could position the design how I wanted it in the window framelit.  I stamped my design using Island Indigo and Early Espresso.  For a pop of color, I added in a couple flo...

It's time for another great challenge at Create with Connie and Mary.  This week we have some great colors to work with. I am still on my Mosaic Madness kick.  Part of the reason I keep using this great new set is that I am working at my dining room table right now and not in my office due to Samuel.  It's much more convenient for me to be upstairs with him than drag him down to my craft room in the basement.  So..my supplies are limited, I couldn't bring everything up!  Anywho, this is what I came up with. The card base is Island Indigo, which believe it or not I did not emboss!  Instead I embossed the piece of Pool Party that I used as my first layer.  I added a layer of So Saffron with the greeting stamped in Island Indigo.  I stamped my mosaics and punched them out then added them using dimensionals.  I like the off set look to this card, something different! I hope you will join in the challenge too and create a card with the fantastic c...

I hope everyone has a wonderful Memorial Day.  A huge thank you to all the men and women that serve in the military to protect out country, we appreciate all you do!   It's Monday and time for a new sketch for the Monday Lunchtime Sketch Challenge with Technostamper.  Here is this week's sketch. I haven't use my Dress Up framelits since I got my new catalog preview items, so I pulled them out for this week's card.  I still used new items, couldn't help myself!! Here's what I came up with. The card base is the new In Color Baked Brown Sugar.  I added a strip of the printed window sheet from the Quatrefancy Specialty DSP.  A piece of the new Crisp Cantaloupe was embossed with the Modern Mosaic EF and adhered over the specialty window sheet.  I was careful to place ahdesive on the window sheet so that it was hidden by the Crisp Cantaloupe CS.  The dress form was die cut out of Crumb Cake CS and I stamped a mosaic pattern from Modern Mosaic on it....

Mosaic Madness in 3D

Image
As I mentioned earlier, I have been working on a fun 3D project with the Mosaic Madness stamp set that I am obsessed with!  I have had so much fun using this set and wanted to make something I could look at every day... on my fridge!  Here's what I made. Using everyday, ordinary clothes pins I created fun magnetic refrigerator clips.  There are sooooo many possibilities with this project!   I went with the new Quatrefancy DSP as my color inspiration for this set, but I am definitely planning on a set with the new In Colors.  Here's a closer look at each magnetic clip. These clips are simple to make.  I cut a strip of DSP to cover the front of my clip.  The size of the paper will vary according to the clothespins you buy.  Different stores have different sizes.  I just put a thin strip of glue over the clothes pin then place the paper on.  I used the smallest of the Windows Framelits as my base for the focal point.  I free hand ...

See it Again Saturday

I have a fun new In Color creation to share today for See it Again Saturday.  I really loved the sketch challenge from Create with Connie and Mary this week, so I re-did the card I made Thursday.  Here is a look again at Thursday's card for CCMC253.  To see the post on this card, click HERE . I love the new In Colors, so I used three of them on the re-make card. I think these colors blend so beautifully!  I used Coastal Cabana,  Baked Brown Sugar, and Crisp Cantaloupe plus a dash of Soft Suede.  Just like the previous card, the base is embossed with Modern Mosaic EF.  I free hand stamped the mosaics on the Whisper White banner, love making patterns!  I added Crumb Cake taffeta ribbon which looks perfect with these colors.  The final piece is the greeting from Banner Greetings stamped in Soft Suede.  I hope you like my re-make as much as I do! Thanks for stopping by!! Check back tomorrow for the 3D Mosaic project that I talked about shari...

Mosaic Madness Birthday for CCMC253

Image
It's Thursday, so we have a new challenge over at Create with Connie and Mary.  This week it's a great sketch challenge. I used Mosaic Madness for my card this week, can't put that set down! I went with bold colors and LOVE how this card turned out!  I used Rich Razzleberry for my card base, embossed with the Modern Mosaic EF.  I added in Bermuda Bay which looks amazing with the Razzleberry.  The mosaic pattern was stamped on Whisper White CS free hand.  Ribbon and a greeting complete the card.  I really love how the Bermuda Bay and Rich Razzleberry compliment each other, just gorgeous! I hope you will join in the challenge too and create a card with the fantastic sketch we have for this week.  Just go to Create with Connie and Mary for more details and to link up your creation. Thanks for stopping by!! See you tomorrow for another Flashback Friday! If it doesn't move...stamp it!! Nicole Tugrul Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator

New In Colors!

Image
This year with the new catalog we get new In Colors!!  I am really loving the colors we get this time around, they are gorgeous! I made 3x3 cards for you to see how gorgeous they really are. First up is Strawberry Slush. For this card, I used a layer of Whisper White embossed with the new Modern Mosaic Embossing folder.  I die cut a piece of the new Quatrefancy Specialty DSP with the Windows Framelits.  I also die cut Whisper White CS and stamped one of the mosaic stamps  with the Strawberry Slush.  The greeting stamp that I placed inside the mosaic is from Teeny Tiny Wishes and it fit perfectly!  I am loving this color, it's really yummy!  Let's move on to Crisp Canteloupe. For this card, I used several of the Mosaic Madness stamps to create a fun pattern.  I was using clear mount stamps, so I just free handed the stamping.  I added in a greeting using the new hostess set Banner Greetings.  This is a gorgeous color!  Let's check ou...

Mosaic Madness for TSSC264

It's Monday already and time for a new sketch for the Monday Lunchtime Sketch Challenge at Technostamper .  Here's a look at this week's sketch. I have been having a ton of fun using the new Mosaic Madness stamp set, so of course I used it for this challenge! My color inspiration came from the piece of Quatrefancy DSP that I picked.  The colors are Island Indigo, Pool Party, and Soft Sky.  The Island Indigo card base was embossed with the Modern Mosaic EF.  I added a layer of Soft Sky CS next.  Then I added in the design elements.  The DSP was layered over a strip of Island Indigo to make it pop.  I die cut a piece of Soft Sky CS with the smallest Window framelit and stamped a mosaic on it with Island Indigo.  I decided to make the mosaic pattern pop more by stamping with Island Indigo on Whisper White CS and cutting them out.  I adhered them to the originally stamped design with dimensionals.  I added small pearls to the center of each ...

See it Again Saturday: A Father's Day Card

Image
Time for another See it Again Saturday card layout.  This week I am doing a re-visit of this week's challenge card for Create with Connie and Mary .  Click HERE to go to the post from Thursday.  Here's another look at Thursday's card. I stuck with the same colors for my re-visit card.  Here's what I came up with. The card base is Sahara Sand embossed with the new Modern Mosaic EF.  I used one of the smaller stamps from Mosaic Madness to stamp inside the mosaic pattern with Sahara Sand ink to form a pattern. The focal point of the card is two layers of the window Framelits in Soft Suede and So Saffron.  I used the piercing template that matched from the Festive Paper Piercing Pack to form a border around each of the layers of CS. For this card I added the greeting as a banner across the framelit focal point.  I used the retired set Something to Celebrate.  The greeting is stamped with Soft Suede ink on a strip of Whisper White CS.  I used my...

Thursday's here, so it's time for a new challenge at Create with Connie and Mary.  This week we have a color challenge, check it out. I have been enjoying stamping with the new Mosaic Madness set from the upcoming catalog, so that's what I used for this challenge. The card base is Sahara Sand embossed with the new Modern Mosaic EF.  I used two of the smaller stamps from Mosaic Madness to stamp inside the mosaic pattern with Sahara Sand ink to form a pattern.  The focal point of the card is two layers of the window Framelits in Soft Suede and So Saffron.  I used the piercing template that matched from the Festive Paper Piercing Pack to form a border around each of the layers of CS.   The greeting is from Curly Cute which is sadly retiring this year, I will definitely miss this great set.  I added in a strip of So Saffron CS punched with the Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border punch.  The small mosaics are stamped and hand cut out then adhered with dimensi...

Monday Lunchtime Sketch Challenge TSSC263

Image
I hope everyone had a wonderful Mother's Day weekend.  It's Monday already and time for a new sketch for the Monday Lunchtime Sketch Challenge.  Here's this week's sketch. Here is the card I came up with using the new Mosaic Madness from the upcoming catalog. I love that this turned out so clean and crisp.  I used the new Quatrefancy Specialty DSP that matches the Mosaic Madness set for a layer over my card base of Island Indigo.  The bottom banner and ink is also Island Indigo.  Another piece of DSP for the top banner adds a little pop of extra color.  The greeting comes from Feel Goods, simply stamped on Whisper White.  Instead of a button embellishment like the sketch, I added a punched element using the new Mosaic punch.  I added in extra color to the mosaic by punching a smaller stamped image from the Mosaic set in Melon Mambo.  I was able to use the four petal flower punch from Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack to punch out that small piece....

It's Monday, so it's time for the Monday Lunchtime Sketch Challenge at Technostamper .  Here's this week's sketch. I got my pre-order last week and haven't had a chance to use anything yet, so I made my card using the new Mosaic Madness products.  This card is mostly new catalog, except the Secret Garden flowers that I love so much.  The card base is the new Strawberry Slush from the 2013-2015 In Color Collection.  It's embossed with the new Modern Mosaic EF.  I added in a strip of paper from Quatrefancy Specialty DSP as the vertical element.  The horizontal banner shaped piece is Whisper White stamped with the Mosaic Madness using Strawberry Slush.  Then I used the 1" square punch to create the banner on the right side.   I stamped the greeting with Strawberry Slush as well, using the new hostess set Banner Greetings.  The greeting was hand cut then adhered with dimensionals to make it stand out.  The flowers are the last element of the...
