I've got a couple of updates for you today, one of which is sad news.  So, lets go ahead and get the bad news over with first. Stampin' Up! has sadly decided to discontinue the Blendabilites line due to quality issues.  They have high standards and the manufacturer is unable to meet them.  I am sad to see the line go but understand that Stampin' Up! is all about quality and I appreciate that.  Not all of the markers are defective, but it was a growing problem due to the manufacturing process.  Even though the blendabilities are discontinued, the Memento Ink Pad and refill will still be available for purchase.  Now, let's move on to better news...how about some weekly deals and a new photopolymer set?? Today I'd like to share a card that I made that was inspired by a sample in the new 2011-2012 Idea Book and Catalog.  I needed a birthday card and thought the card on page 91 for Look Who's Turning was really cute.  I changed up the colors and the animal.  Here's my CASE of the card. I kept the design of the card the same, but changed the colors.  I used a chipboard 2 which I traced on tempting turquoise and cut out.  I was pleased with the results and will probably go back and make more in the same design with different colors.  I really liked the layering of the top note on a piece of card stock with the scallop border underneath.  These colors worked well together, and was the perfect card for a pool party!  Here's a close up.
