Image
Welcome to the Week 2 Blog Hop, I am so excited you are here!  You should be arriving from Melissa Davie's awesome blog Rubberfunatics , wasn't here project great!!!  Be sure to hop all the way around, you don't want to miss a thing!!  For Week Two, I used Adventure Awaits for my card set.  I love the fabulous bold greetings, this set is perfect for both cards and scrapbooking....fun favors and projects too!!  With graduation being around the corner, I went in that direction and made a small gift and card. Don't these sentiments fit graduation perfectly??!!  Their adventure awaits, so why not give them a journal to record it in? The Kraft Grid Journals from the Annual Catalog are such a great size!  Perfect for a pocket or purse.   What better way to record your goals or thoughts when you are out on an adventure!  To make this bold journal, I first stamped Gorgeous Grunge on the cover in Memento Tuxedo Black.  A piece of map from Ty...

Image
Yay!!  Preview Week is here!!  I am super excited about the new Card "Create"tions Collection from Create with Connie and Mary !  Each day this week we have a preview card for you and there is BLOG CANDY and FREE TUTORIALS as well!!! Be sure to go to Create with Connie and Mary for more information about the collection.  Deb Currier has a great card for you today plus BLOG CANDY so be sure to go and see her today! I have a fun little treat bag to share today that actually matches my card from yesterday .  I used For Being You and Stacked with Love Designer Paper Stack. The paper from the designer paper stacks doesn't quite fit the Mini Treat Bag thinlet, but I made due.  I used two of the smaller side to piece together the back.  With the design of paper that I used, this method worked out fine. For the front, I cut a banner with the striped paper and added a few embellishments.  The sentiment was stamped on a starburst of Calypso Coral.  I...

A Basket Bouquet

Image
Hi Stampers!  I have more flowers for you today!  I had some baskets in my craft room that have been patiently waiting to be embellished for at least 5 or 6 years now.  The flowers from the Bouquet die are PERFECT for decorating these, so I made a video to show you how I made a couple of the flowers.  First, let me show you the baskets. These would be a great gift for Easter or Mother's Day.  The flap opens so you can put goodies inside.  I first made the basket with Pool Party and Crisp Cantaloupe, I just love that color combination! For the video, I used Wisteria Wonder and Blushing Bride for my flowers. I added in stamping with these flowers as well using the coordinating set Build a Bouquet.  I have all of the details for you in the video below.  I also have measurements for you for each flower listed below the video. Measurements for die cutting the flowers: Large Flower: (5) Large flower petals: 1 3/4" x 2 3/4" (Wisteria Wonder) (4) Small fl...

Bouquet Bigz L Die

Image
It's Friday, which means my last exclusive tutorial for the Spring Collection 2015 has gone live.  The four weeks have flown by and I have loved every minute!  If you aren't a subscriber yet, you can still join in the fun!  Just go to Create with Connie and Mary for all the details.   My exclusive project features the new Bouquet Bigz L Die so I wanted to do a little project for you today to show how pretty these flowers are!  I put together a quick package using a Petite Cafe' Bag.  This is a great way to give a little gift in style!  The embellishment is simple. Just a gorgeous flower, a doily and a little tag with linen thread. The flower consists of three parts from the die.  A layer of 5 large petals, a layer of 4 small petals and a grouping of 5 stamens in the center.  The paper for the petals is the soft polka dot design from the  Best Year Ever Designer Series Paper.  The stamens are in Sahara Sand.  I like the soft c...

Chapstick From the Garden

Image
Today I have a fun little gift idea to share with you.  It's one I've done many different ways, but I still love it. It's a sweet little chapstick holder.  I love small gifts to say thank you and this one fits the bill, who doesn't love chapstick?!  With spring coming closer (not fast enough!) I thought a floral holder would be a nice idea.  I've been using From the Garden all week, it's the set featured in my exclusive tutorial for the Spring Collection 2015 from Create with Connie and Mary .  It's a really fun set that can be more versatile than you think.  I love using the garden picks for my sentiments, you'll get to see more examples tomorrow. I kept the inside simple and used a die cut from the mini Treat Bag Thinlet.  As you can see, a tube of chapstick fits just right in the holder. The holder is easy to make, I have a tutorial that I made a few years ago HERE for you to follow. Thanks for visiting with me today.  If you've not become a su...

Mini Treat Bag

Image
I have to say that I really LOVE the new Mini Treat Bag Thinlet in the Occasions Catalog.  It was one of the first items on my wish list and I am soooo glad I got it!  There are endless ways to use this bag and today I am going to share one. This treat was inspired by a bag of Berry flavored Skittles that was sitting on my counter.  I looked at it and thought of Rich Razzleberry.  So down I went to my craft room and whipped up a cute little treat bag with Rich Razzleberry designer paper. I embellished the front of the bag with some of the extra thinlets in the set.  I think the borders are great, especially since they can be used two ways.  I added the actual heart border to the bottom of the bag then scattered the hearts around the top. I love the look of the Pink Pirouette and Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer paper with the richness of Rich Razzleberry. I think the next thing with this thinlet that I will tackle is the cute box that Connie Babbert came up with....

Preview Week Day 3!

Image
Welcome back!  We are on day 3 of Preview Week for the Spring Collection 2015 from Create with Connie and Mary .  I absolutely LOVE the new catalog and have a really fun project to share today. The new Mini Treat Bag Thinlet Die is a must have for so many reasons.  Here's a great example of a quick little gift that can be put together in s short amount of time. I made this bag quickly with just a few supplies.  The bag is made with the new Painted Blooms Designer Series Paper.  This paper is to die for!! I love all the beautiful patterns.   It took me a minute to choose a design for my bag, I couldn't decide! To make the bag, you need (1) piece of 6 x 6 paper and (1) piece of 3 x 6.  Simply run them through with the bag thinlet and adhere with Fast Fuse tape.  I only added a couple of embellishments to the front, the paper is bold and doesn't need much added.  I grabbed a doily, folded it in half and stamped a sentiment from Painted Peta...

Image
Welcome to Day 2 of Preview Week for the Spring Collection from Create with Connie and Mary.  All week long the Design Team is sharing fun samples plus BLOG CANDY and FREE TUTORIALS!!  Stop by Create with Connie and Mary to find out more about the tutorial and the collection. I have a fun project to share with you today.  It features the cute new set Cheerful Critters.  I don't know about you, but I love Conversation Hearts.  I found a set of 5 mini boxes in a pack at the grocery store and immediately thought of Cheerful Critters to decorate it. I kept it simple but sweet.  Only the front of the box is covered with Designer paper.  I used the polka dot design from Sweet Taffy.  A bit of Rich Razzleberry ribbon was tied around the box before I added the cute little bear.  To get the sentiment I wanted, I used a Melon Mambo marker to color "I like you" from the stamp "I like your face".  I also added an exclamation point with the fine tip...
