See it Again Saturday

The weekend is here!  We are having hot and humid weather here in Ohio, all the more reason to stamp!  Today I have a card that is a re-do of a layout from last week.  I really loved the design that I came up with for my Thursday Create with Connie and Mary color challenge using Island Indigo, Summer Starfruit, and Early Espresso.  You can click HERE to go back to my post for the original card.  I used different colors and changed the design slightly, check out the new version. Don't you just love the Smokey Slate paired with Coastal Cabana??  I do!  This is a wedding card, it is June after all.  I didn't want it to be too girly, so these colors really fit the bill.  As far as re-designing goes, I changed a couple things slightly.  Besides the colors, I made the Window Framelit die cut the next size up.  To get the mosaic pattern, I first stamped my pattern on a square piece of CS then die cut with the framelit.  This not only...

See it Again Saturday

Image
This week for See it Again Saturday I am doing a re-visit of yesterday's layout.  I really loved the simplicity of it.  So, let's get directly to it!  Here's today's card made with the new hostess set Simply Sketched. I love all the new In Colors so the card was based on them.  Coastal Cabana is the card base embossed with the new Beautifully Baroque EF.    The banners are all In Colors as well - Baked Brown Sugar, Crisp Cantaloupe, and Pistachio Pudding.  I stamped the image and greeting from Simply Sketched with Baked Brown Sugar ink then colored it with my blender pen and ink pads.  The image was die cut using the new circles framelits which I absolutely LOVE! As a finishing touch, I did paper piercing around the image.  I had to free hand it, there isn't a template with a circle big enough yet.  I am hoping that Stampin' Up! will have new paper piercing templates for all the new framelits coming soon. Thanks for checking out my ...

See it Again Saturday

I have a fun new In Color creation to share today for See it Again Saturday.  I really loved the sketch challenge from Create with Connie and Mary this week, so I re-did the card I made Thursday.  Here is a look again at Thursday's card for CCMC253.  To see the post on this card, click HERE . I love the new In Colors, so I used three of them on the re-make card. I think these colors blend so beautifully!  I used Coastal Cabana,  Baked Brown Sugar, and Crisp Cantaloupe plus a dash of Soft Suede.  Just like the previous card, the base is embossed with Modern Mosaic EF.  I free hand stamped the mosaics on the Whisper White banner, love making patterns!  I added Crumb Cake taffeta ribbon which looks perfect with these colors.  The final piece is the greeting from Banner Greetings stamped in Soft Suede.  I hope you like my re-make as much as I do! Thanks for stopping by!! Check back tomorrow for the 3D Mosaic project that I talked about shari...

See it Again Saturday: A Father's Day Card

Image
Time for another See it Again Saturday card layout.  This week I am doing a re-visit of this week's challenge card for Create with Connie and Mary .  Click HERE to go to the post from Thursday.  Here's another look at Thursday's card. I stuck with the same colors for my re-visit card.  Here's what I came up with. The card base is Sahara Sand embossed with the new Modern Mosaic EF.  I used one of the smaller stamps from Mosaic Madness to stamp inside the mosaic pattern with Sahara Sand ink to form a pattern. The focal point of the card is two layers of the window Framelits in Soft Suede and So Saffron.  I used the piercing template that matched from the Festive Paper Piercing Pack to form a border around each of the layers of CS. For this card I added the greeting as a banner across the framelit focal point.  I used the retired set Something to Celebrate.  The greeting is stamped with Soft Suede ink on a strip of Whisper White CS.  I used my...

Flahback Friday : Thinking of Father

Image
Welcome to another Flashback Friday!  This week we journey back to 2004 for the stamp set Thinking of Father.  Here's a look at the set. I used a combination of old and new for this Father's Day card, take a look. The card base is Crumb Cake embossed with the new Modern Mosaic EF.  I stamped the largest image from the set in Soft Suede on Sahara Sand CS and die cut part of the image with the next to smallest Window Framelit.  I did a bit of layering, both of the Soft Suede layers were hand cut.  The Old Olive layer was die cut.   I added just a touch of color to the image with markers.  For the greeting, I just cut a strip of Sahara Sand CS and used the Father's Day greeting from Something to Celebrate (retired Hostess set from last year).  I made a banner out of the greeting by using my 1" square punch on the ends.  That's it! A simple card using an oldie but goodie and new items. Come back tomorrow for See it Again Saturday, I have a r...

Happy Mother's Day!

Image
A big Happy Mother's Day everyone!!  I hope you enjoy today with your loved ones!  I have a card to share that is a re-visit of previous cards that can be seen HERE and HERE .  This card uses the Dress Up Framelits and is a simple, clean layout. I really love this layout.  It's simple and clean with some fun elements.  One of my favorite elements is the paper piercing around the dress form. The dress form was cut from Crumb Cake and stamped with the large flourish stamp from Always Elegant.  Pink Taffeta ribbon and pearls complete the dress. The bottom of the card has needlepoint embossing below the strip of DSP.  The greeting is stamped directly on the DSP using Soft Suede ink.  I just love this layout, I am sure it will be re-visited again! Have a very Happy Mother's Day!!  See you tomorrow for a new Monday Lunchtime Sketch Challenge! If it doesn't move...stamp it!! Nicole Tugrul Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator

See it Again Saturday

I've got another great See it Again Saturday card for you today.  I used Aviary this week since it's retiring soon.  I made a flip flop card like the ones I did during Sale-a-bration.  You can go HERE and HERE to see more about those cards.  Here is the Aviary card. Here's the front of the card.  I used Polka Dot Parade in Old Olive and Daffodil Delight as my main colors.  Here is the back of the flip. This was a simple design, one of the reasons I like the flip card so much.  You pick your DSP for the background, you pick a focal point for the flip part, and a greeting for the back.  Then you can add any extra embellishments you want.  This card was simple, I used a bird cage as my focal point on the flip.  I added in leaves and flowers to make the bird cage stand out.  The greeting on the back is another set I hate to see go, Curly Cute.  Simple card, yet it has WOW power due to the fancy fold.  Thanks for stopping by ...

See it Again Saturday

It's time for another card re-make on See it Again Saturday.  Today's card is  re-make of my Create with Connie and Mary Challenge card from this week.  Here's that card, more about it here . Here is the card I did for my Saturday re-make. I changed up the design a little on this card.  I did a Pool Party card base with a layer of Crumb Cake embossed with the Polka Dot EF.  I did not add in a large background banner this time.  Instead I had the focus all on the doily and banners.  I used Crumb Cake, Pool Party and Basic Grey inks for the banners and greeting.  In place of the embossed piece that I had across the top of the banners I used a piece of SAB Pool Party ribbon.  I added a button in place of the three flowers from the previous card.  I love these colors together.  I would not have used Basic Grey if it wasn't for this week's CCMC color challenge.  Now I am really liking this grey!   Thanks for stopping by, s...

See It Again Saturday: A Mother's Day Card

Image
It's Saturday, so time for a card re-make.  Today's card is a re-make of my boo-boo card from Sunday.  Here is the original card, you can see the entire blog post HERE . I just loved how this card turned out, so I wanted to make a second card.  I wanted a little something different, so I changed up the accent color.  Take a look. For the re-make card, I used Wisteria Wonder.  I added in punched flowers again plus a butterfly from Bloomin' Marvelous.  I love how the Wisteria Wonder compliments the Pear Pizzaz.  Thankfully we are keeping both colors for the new catalog!! I hope you liked the little change up of color today.  Be sure to head back over here for more card samples, there is a great sketch coming up on Monday for the Monday Lunchtime Sketch Challenge at Technostamper.  See you then! If it doesn't move...stamp it!! Nicole Tugrul Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator The Retiring Lists are Here!! It's that time of year, the exciting t...

See It Again Saturday: Secret Garden

Image
Time to re-make a card layout on See it Again Saturday!  Today's card is a re-make of my card from Thursday's Create with Connie and Mary Color Challenge.  Go here to see the original post.  This is the original card layout that I used. I loved how this layout of the flowers looked, so I re-did it with different colors and changed up the flowers and greeting. I went back to my favorite color, Pool Party, for the base card.  It's embossed with the Honeycomb EF, same as the original.  I die cut leaves from Certainly Celery cs and layered them on the card first.  Next, I added in my heat embossed flowers that were water colored with re-inkers and an Aqua Painter.  TIP: when you are embossing flowers like these, do a bunch at one time.  I will stamp and heat embossed a half sheet of cs of each flower each time and then I always have flowers ready to color!  Here's a close up of the flowers. As always, I added pearls to the centers of the flowers...

See It Again Saturday

Image
It's already time for another layout re-visit on See it Again Saturday.  Today I wanted to share a re-do of my card from Thursday with the Dress Up Framelits, but time was lacking today!  No time to stamp :(  So, I am sharing another version of the cards I've been doing with the doily as the centerpiece. As with the other cards, I embossed the base CS.  This time I used the Vintage Wallpaper EF.  The doily was stamped with the flower from Bloomin' marvelous using Pool Party and Rich Razzleberry  The greeting is from Feel Goods, stamped in Razzleberry and die cut with a labels framelit.  I added in flowers and a butterfly that were cut out by hand and pearl accents were added.  Another quick and easy card with this layout that I have just about worn into the ground!  With this particular card I just love the color combo of Pool Party and Rich Razzleberry.  I am sooooo very glad that Pool Party is staying! Thanks so much for checking out t...

See it Again Saturday: A Secret Garden

Image
Today I have a fun pop up card to share for See it Again Saturday.  I did a re-make of a layout from this week, Thursday's card to be exact.  Here is a picture of Thursday's card that I did for Create with Connie and Mary Color Challenge. The re-make is a card with a very similar design outside and a pop up inside.  The biggest change up was color. I changed the card base to Crumb Cake and used DSP from Domestic Goddess.  I kept the doily as the base for my flowers.  The flowers were heat embossed in white again and colored with an Aqua painter and re-inkers. I switched up the flower colors to Daffodil Delight, Poppy Parade, and Peach Parfait.  The greeting was from Teeny Tiny Wishes again, this time I went with Mother's Day.  Now on to the inside. Since this card is for Mother's Day, I decided to do a flower pot.  I've seen the idea floating around on Pinterest and thought it was clever.  I used the DSP from Domestic Goddess for the pop up ...
