Blooming With Kindness

Image
I hope you enjoyed yesterday's sketch challenge and gave it a try.  Today I'd like to share a Blooming with Kindness card that I did over the weekend.  I used muted colors and a design similar to the Bloomin' Marvelous cards I shared last week.  I just really loved the soft look of those cards and  thought it was the perfect look for a sympathy card using Blooming with Kindness. I stamped the flower on a Whisper White CS base card several times with the same inking of Baja Breeze to give both stronger and faded flowers.  I embossed the card stock with the Honeycomb Embossing Folder to add texture.  The flower was stamped off before stamping on the circle so the greeting would stand out.  I added Crumb Cake Taffeta ribbon to the card base, I like the look of the soft blue ink and the tan tones.   The butterfly was made with Soft Suede and Crumb Cake using the Beautiful Wings Embosslit.  All in all a soft card that came together quickly. More Bloomin' Marvelous!

Image
Today I am sharing the other cards I made with Bloomin' Marvelous using the layout from yesterday.  I changed up the colors to Baja Breeze, Pink Pirouette and Certainly Celery.  I also left out the framelit window die cut to make the card simpler.  I changed up the greeting by not matting it and adding a hummingbird in place of butterfly.  I also scattered more small flowers around the card in place of stamping on the background.  Here is a close up. I did another version with a different greeting and used the butterfly again.  I used the same colors as this first one.  This card has the background stamping and flowers more concentrated around the greeting.  I have a close up of this one too. I just love the softness of the colors and the pretty flowers.  So spring like! Makes me have a bit of spring fever with all of this crazy cold weather we have here in Ohio!!  I made a couple other cards using this layout with Blooming with Kindness...

Pinwheel Thinking of You

Image
I finally got a chance to try out the new Pinwheel Sizzlet and it is so cute!!  And what a great buy for just $4.95!  Anyway, I wanted to do a Thinking of you card and the pinwheel just seemed like the way to go.  I used the Cloudy Day EF on the top portion of the Whisper white CS but left the bottom without so I could stamp the greeting.  I embossed Tempting Turquoise with the versatile lacy EF from the set Delicate Designs.  The DSP is retired, but it was just so perfect for the card since it was pinwheels! I even cut one out by hand to put next to the greeting. I hope you try out the great pinwheel die, lots of possibilities! Stop by again tomorrow for another card idea.  Thanks for visiting! If it doesn't move..stamp it!! Nicole Tugrul Independent STampin' Up! Demonstrator
