A Fun Birthday Card

Image
I have another preview card for you today, a fun birthday card using See Ya Later.  I love this Sale-a-bration set, it has a little bit of everything!  When I saw that Catherine and Cathy Create had a birthday challenge, I knew that See Ya Later was the stamp set to go with. Isn't this a fun design!  I wanted to use Birthday Basics DSP and the candles seemed like the right one for this card.  My card color palette was based off the colors in the DSP.  I used Bermuda Bay, Raspberry Ripple, and Smokey Slate. I really had fun doing the offset card design for my Thursday Color Challenge card , so I thought I'd do another for this card.  The layering is different than I normally do, there's a lot going on there! 1.  I die cut a circle in Bermuda Bay to layer behind the greeting.  The greeting was stamped with Bermuda Bay and die cut with a Deco Label framelit. 2. Emboss Resist in White

Image
I did a couple more samples for the May Technique Challenge that my upline Patty Bennett gave our group. This time I did something softer with white embossing powder.  The first card is a birthday card, which I sent to Patty as her birthday is Monday. I LOVE how soft and pretty this card is.  I embossed with white then used Pretty in Pink on a sponge to add soft color.  The greeting is embossed with white as well. The next sample is just a little different, I used a different greeting and used a rosette instead of butterflies for embellishment. Thanks for stopping by to look! I have more emboss resist samples to share next time. Be sure to get retiring products before they are gone!
