Wondrous Wreath Christmas Tags

Image
Yay it's Friday!!  I am so glad the weekend is here, it's been another busy week here at my house!  I have a quick project to share with you today using Wondrous Wreath.  I chose that set because today my third project for the Create with Connie and Mary Holiday Collection went live!  This collection is full of amazing ideas to make your holidays brighter.  If you are not a subscriber, there is still time!  Just go to Create with Connie and Mary for all the details! Now, on to the set of gift tags.  I wanted to try a new color combination for the wreath, so I went with brighter colors. Can you guess what colors I used??  I went with Pistachio Pudding and Wild Wasabi for the leaves and Strawberry Slush for the berries.  Isn't this a fabulous combination?! I ended up making a set of 6 of theses tags to use.  They are so bright and happy, I just love them! The tag started out with the wreath die cut and layered on a Strawberry Slush flower from the Floral Frames Collection.

Festival of Trees for CCMC327

Image
It's Thursday and time for the new challenge from Create with Connie and Mary .  This week we have a great sketch to work with. I always love the sketches with unusual angles, they are extra fun!  I have been on a Festival of Trees kick, so I went with it for today's card. Talk about lots of patterns!  I went crazy with the Trim the Tree Designer Series Paper Stack on this card! I started out with a Garden Green card base embossed with the On Point embossing folder.  Then the madness begins with lots of patterns of designer paper.  First layer is the trees angled to the side.  Next, a more muted layer of snowflakes, then a plaid oval.  The tree is kept fairly plain and simple.  It's stamped on Whisper White with Garden Green and has a gold glimmer star on top.  The finishing touches are a trio of small gold stars and a simple sentiment. I hope you will join the challenge this week and make a card of your own!  Just go to Create with Connie and Mary for all the details pl

White Christmas for TSSC338

Image
I'm back for card number two!  This one is for the Monday Lunchtime Sketch Challenge from Technostamper .  Per ususal, Mary Jo has an awesome sketch for us. I usually don't make square cards, I adapt the sketch to a standard size.  But this time, I went ahead and used the square design to create a beautiful frosty winter scene card with White Christmas. Is this the perfect winter scene or what?!  Like I said earlier...I love this sweet little bear.  So for this scene, I had him standing on the hill looking up at a Christmas cardinal. The card base is Pool Party with a square of All is Calm Designer paper in the center.  I also added in Lost Lagoon Taffeta ribbon (so yummy!) and Silver Glimmer paper.  These frosty elements set up the focal point beautifully.  The snow seems real with the Dazzling Details shimmering along the hill.  The bear is stamped separately and added to the card with a small bit of dimensional.  He looks more realistic when standing on the snow with a shado

White Christmas for CCC19

Image
Monday's here (already!) and as usual I have two cards to share.  This first post is for the Creative Challenge Club sketch. In keeping with the Christmas cards I've been working on the last few weeks, I made a card with White Christmas for the challenge. I just LOVE the sweet little polar bear in this set.   When I saw a bag of fake snow at the Dollar Tree, I bought it knowing I would make great shaker cards with this set. The frosty All is Calm Designer Paper is so beautiful with the white snow in the shaker.  Kind of makes you feel cold looking at it!  Per usual I used window sheet and dimensionals to construct the shaker.  The cut out for the scene is one of the Chalk Talk framelits, it fit perfectly. I added in a few other details to make the card extra special.  A couple of snowflakes with rhinestones on the shaker brighten up the focal point.  And of course I always add in stars and silver glimmer paper! I hope you are feeling inspired to join the challenge with us!  Jus

Festival of Trees Gift Tags

Image
Today I have some Christmas gift tags to share using Festival of Trees.  I made two different types of tags, one shaker and one with stars punched out. First was the shaker tag with a punch out of the tree. The tag is made up of two layers of cardstock.  The top layer is the specialty paper Under the Tree.  It's a beautiful heavy weight paper with designs on both sides like the lighter weight designer paper.  The paper is die cut with a circle framelit and the top layer punched with the Tree Punch.  I used window sheet and dimensionals to make the shaker portion then just add in a few stars and sequins. Next, I tried another style of gift tag using the Confetti Star Punch. This tag also uses two circles of cardstock.  But this time they are adhered together and the bottom layer shows through the stars punched on top.  The tree added to the top was actually a left over from another project.  I always keep any extra punches or pieces in a little container, you never know when they wi

It's the end of week 2 (already!) of the Holiday Collection from Create with Connie and Mary and we have a BLOG HOP for you!  Each Design Team member has made a card with the set they used in week two, and I know you will want to make your way around to see them all.  The projects for the collection have been out of this world!  If you're not a subscriber, it's not too late to join in the fun.  You can find all the details on Create with Connie and Mary. You should be getting here from Melissa's blog, she always has amazing cards and projects to share.  My set for the week was Letterpress Winter paired with the Snowflake Flip Card thinlet Die. This awesome set of die cuts is so fun to work with.  I am in the process of planning a Frozen birthday party for my daughter, so I went ahead and made her invitation a flip card.  She sat next to me and "directed" me with what she wanted.  Of course, the colors are very important...frosty cool colors make this card pe

Letterpress Winter Party Favor

Yay!  It's Friday!  I've had quite a week...been so busy I am glad the weekend is almost here!  Today my second project for the Create with Connie and Mary Holiday Collection went live and I am so excited about it!  For those of you who haven't subscribed yet, you can find out all the details at Create with Connie and Mary .  This session is full of AMAZING holiday ideas that you don't want to miss! Now, on to my Letterpress Winter party favor.  I just got the Curvy Keepsake Box Thinlet Die (it's AWESOME) and I wanted to make something right away!  Since my daughter's birthday is around the corner, I designed a party favor for her Frozen themed party. Too cute, huh!  The box assembles very easily, so I know it will be no big deal to make a bunch. Stampin' Up! did me a real favor this year with all the beautiful products and colors that coordinate with a Frozen birthday party.   The All is Calm Designer Series Paper is just the right colors!  My eight year ol

Festival of Trees for CCMC326

Thursday's here and so is the new challenge from Create with Connie and Mary .  We are in week 2 of the Holiday Collection, so I am in Christmas mode.  That means today's card is of course a Christmas card.  Before I get ahead of myself, let me show you the colors we are working with this week. I have really been into Festival of Trees which I used last week, so I went ahead and made another one for this week! First of all, I love this week's colors!   Mossy Meadow is such a deep, rich color and it goes beautifully with Lost Lagoon.  I had no trouble whipping up this card with just a few items. The Mossy Meadow card base is embossed with the On Point Embossing Folder....super cute!  I was hesitant to get it, but I am soooo glad I did!  The Lost Lagoon banner has snowflakes from Endless Wishes stamped all over and a tree popped up on dimensionals. The sentiment is in Lost Lagoon on Whisper White and die cut with a the banner from the Snowflake Card Thinlet Dies.  The card wa

Halloween Petite Cafe Bag

Halloween treat holders are one of my favorite 3D items to create, so  I was excited to see the challenge from Try Stampin' on Tuesday this week.  The sketch we have is for an item other than a card, so Petite Cafe Bag it is!  The cool thing is, you could use this sketch for a card, so I may have to do that too later in the week! I have been into Fall Fest lately, so I went ahead and used it for my bag along with Motley Monsters Designer Series Paper. Is this cute or what!!  I just love these kinds of projects that come together so easily and are so fun to give away!  I put candies in the bag and it's ready to go for the holiday.  It was simple to make, here's the steps: - Added a strip of Motley Monsters Designer Paper to the bottom - stamped three pumpkins with Tangerine Tango on Whisper White and die cut with framelits - stamped "happy" from Age Awareness with Jet Black Staz On - stamped "halloween" with Rotary Alphabet stamp on Tangerine Tango, crea
