Hooray!!! It's the first blog hop for Card "Create" tions Celebrations 2015 and I am so excited you are here!!  You should be arriving from Melissa Davies' amazing blog Rubberfunatics , she is so inspiring!!   If you are getting your start here, welcome and make sure you hop all the way around so you don't miss a thing! Each week during the collection we are featuring a small favor with the stamp set we used for our card set.  My set for this week was From the Garden and I have to say that the more I use it the more I love it!!  In fact, it goes along nicely with another product that I love, the Berry Basket die!   So can you guess what I have for you today???  Yep, a berry basket featuring From the Garden! The story behind this basket is kind of funny, it was a duh... kinda moment.  I knew I was going to make a basket and knew I wanted to use All Abloom Designer paper.  What I didn't know was what to actually put in the basket.  As I ...

Is it a Berry Basket or a Card??

Hi Stampers!  Have I told you how much I love the Berry Basket Die???  Well, if you can't tell by now.....I DO!!!  When the Occasions Catalog first came out I looked at it briefly and though....mmmm.....maybe.  But now that I have it, I can't put it away!  Last week I shared with you a card that had lavender tucked into a basket during Preview Week for Card "Create"tions Celebrations 2015 .  Today my From the Garden card set goes live so I am sharing another fun berry basket card with you! Cindee Wilkinson, a fellow stamper in the fabulous Luv to Stamp group with Patty Bennett, shared this idea a couple of weeks ago and I just went crazy over it!  It's such a clever idea, I had to give it a try. I looked to Painted Blooms Designer Paper for inspiration.   A fun design with small flowers makes up the background.  I pulled Blackberry Bliss and Hello Honey from the design and carried them throughout the card.  The little extra touches are...

Image
Welcome to another Saturday Blog Hop!  This week the team is featuring one of the stamp sets they will be using for Card "Create"tions Celebrations 2015. You should be arriving from Melissa's fabulous blog Rubberfunatics , she has such amazing ideas to share!  If you are just starting here, be sure to hop all the way around so you don't miss a thing!  Now onto my cards for today!  Yes...I said cards, there are FOUR to share! As you may know if you were here yesterday, I am doing a card set for Card "Create"tions with From the Garden.  I've been playing around with it a bit and today I am sharing what I call my Watercolor Experiment. Watercolor is something I don't typically do, it's definitely out of my comfort zone.  But, every once in a while I feel the need to pull out my watercolor paper and give it a try.  With there being so many small stamps in From the Garden, I wanted to find a way to be different and make them stand out.   I tried c...

Image
Woo Hoo!! Today is my turn to share a card and offer BLOG CANDY for the Create with Connie and Mary Card "Create"tions Celebrations 2015 .  It's always exciting to design for their collections, I love coming up with new ideas to share with all of you! Be sure to check out all the details about the collection, it's going to be spectacular!!  Now, onto the card I have for you today.  I am featuring one of the stamp sets that I will be using for Card "Create"tions Celebrations.  Drum roll please.........................it's From the Garden! Ok, this is a set that I will admit can be a bit of a challenge.  Any time a set has lots of small stamps it can be intimidating, at least to me!  That's why I took on the challenge to come up with cards to help you love this set as much as I do.  This card I have for today is one of my favorites that I've made so far.  I love combining the Berry Basket die with this set, they go together like two peas in a pod...

Happy Spring!

Image
Hi Stampers!  I have a spring card to share today for the Thursday Challenge from Create with Connie and Mary .  This week is a really fun sketch, take a look. Since we are finally having beautiful spring weather here in Ohio, I decided to use Sheltering Tree for my card today. I love this set, the tree is so beautiful and can be stamped in so many ways!  I went with a Baked Brown Sugar tree trunk and Pistachio Pudding leaves.  I also used Pistachio Pudding for the grass. Along the bottom is a Pistachio Pudding banner with "Happy Spring" stamped in Pear Pizzaz.  I pulled the sentiment out of From the Garden since it was the perfect size for what I wanted on the banner.  I added "hello" in Blushing Bride over the tree, it adds a nice soft touch to the card.  Final element was several Rose Red flowers punched using the Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack flower.  As usual I added a pearl to the center of each flower.  And that's it!  A very soft...

Best Buds

It's Monday and time for the Monday Lunchtime Sketch Challenge !  Let's take a look at the fun sketch Mary Jo has for us today. I love this clean and simple sketch!  I wanted a spring card to make me feel better...we are getting a bunch of snow here in Ohio so I needed something sunny and happy! Isn't this fun!! You can't get much happier than this card!!  I took the Best Year Ever Designer Paper from Sale-a-bration and combined it with the super cute set From the Garden. The card is pretty simple, just a little tedious as I had to fussy cut the flowers from the designer paper.  The card base is Soft Sky to which I added the spring scene on Whisper White.  The Pear Pizzaz grass is cut with the very awesome fringe scissors.  Before adding the grass to the card, I sponged a bit of Pear Pizzaz ink to the bottom to add a softer look.  I also did sponging on the top of the card with Soft Sky to make light clouds.  There is a Word Bubble framelit that m...

Bouquet Bigz L Die

Image
It's Friday, which means my last exclusive tutorial for the Spring Collection 2015 has gone live.  The four weeks have flown by and I have loved every minute!  If you aren't a subscriber yet, you can still join in the fun!  Just go to Create with Connie and Mary for all the details.   My exclusive project features the new Bouquet Bigz L Die so I wanted to do a little project for you today to show how pretty these flowers are!  I put together a quick package using a Petite Cafe' Bag.  This is a great way to give a little gift in style!  The embellishment is simple. Just a gorgeous flower, a doily and a little tag with linen thread. The flower consists of three parts from the die.  A layer of 5 large petals, a layer of 4 small petals and a grouping of 5 stamens in the center.  The paper for the petals is the soft polka dot design from the  Best Year Ever Designer Series Paper.  The stamens are in Sahara Sand.  I like the soft c...

Spring Collection 2015 Week 2 Blog Hop!

Image
It's hard to believe, but we are at the end of the second week of the Spring Collection 2015 from Create with Connie and Mary .  As with each week, we do a blog hop on Saturday to showcase the set we used for our project.  If you started at the beginning, you should be arriving from Melissa's blog .  I loved her project for this week!  She is just too clever! My project for this week featured From the Garden and Handpicked Framelits on page 20 of the Occasions Catalog.  This set can easily be over looked, but I saw potential as I love to garden!  I had so much fun making my Create project and love the way it turned out!  I had just as much fun creating cards to share with you today.  In fact, I made THREE cards, each one is just a little different.  All of the cards are on a Whisper White card base with flowers from Painted Petals stamped in Marina Mist. For the first card, I added a tag with the sentiment on a banner.  Under the tag is ...
