Treats!

Image
I have a fun little treat to share today that was super easy to make!  I am a subscriber to My Paper Pumpkin and the September kit was just incredible!  I am just now getting a chance to dig into the kit and it was so much fun that I had to share! Total cuteness, right??  This kit had 16 test tubes for treats!!!!  YES...16!!  It makes doing gifts or party favors easy as pie!  There is a great stamp set to use for lots of other projects as well. [embed]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uZdRdCyR52M[/embed] See how cute this is!!  It's nice to have something super easy to assemble where all the work is done for you.  Speaking of that....have you checked out the Mini Sessions from Create with Connie and Mary??  Each month we have 5 FULL tutorials so all the work is done, you just have to sit down and create! The October Mini Session will be released on the 11th and I know you'll want to subscribe!  WE are featuring HOLIDAY sets so you can be ready for the weeks to come.  I hope you...

Not Your Normal Fall Card

Image
Welcome to another Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop!  This week our theme is NOT YOUR NORMAL FALL CARD. I wanted to do a crazy shape, but I don't really have any die cuts that I thought would work out well.  So I went with a square spinner card featuring ACORNY THANK YOU . Spinner cards are so easy now with the awesome new SLIDING STAR FRAMELITS . This set of framelits coordinates with the SHOOTING STAR stamp set, but it's not just for that!  I've shown you today that you can use the spinning die cuts for anything! The card base is 4 1/4" x 8" in Soft Suede folded in half to give enough room for the spinner.  I popped up the top layer with the FOAM ADHESIVE STRIPS (a serious must have!) and used washers for the spinner. I created a copper topped acorn with the ACORN BUILDER PUNCH and embossed the sentiment in copper to coordinate.  Love copper for fall!! I hope you've enjoyed my spinning acorn, the supplies are listed below if you'd like ...

Fall is in the Air

Image
Welcome to another Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop!  This week our theme is FALL IS IN THE AIR. For my fall card, I went back to the Annual Catalog and combined an older set with a newer set. Isn't it great when you can use a stamp set for multiple holidays! I kept it simple and used Crushed Curry with Cajun Craze to create a fall inspired wreath with WONDROUS WREATH and BANNERS FOR YOU .  I almost added in Pumpkin Pie, but decided against it in the end.  I did use Soft Suede as my third color for the card base and banner outline to give a little more depth to the card. To give a little more of a fall feel to the card, I added in LINEN THREAD to make a bow and hang the wreath.  This last little touch was just what the card needed! Below is the supply list and color inspiration so you can create your own fall inspired card. Time for Fall

Image
Welcome to another Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop!  This week our theme is COLORS OF FALL. I went clean and simple this week with designer paper as one of my main elements. Yes, I used Halloween paper, but it works...right?  I usually focus a lot on Halloween becuase it's such a fun time of year to make cards.  So I always get the Halloween DSP and it's nice to find another way to use it. This delicate polka dot design was perfect with Pumpkin Pie, Peekaboo Peach, Basic Gray and Smokey Slate.  And yes I know the Smokey Slate and Basic Gray are not true fall colors but I made it work!  I added copper thread to bring another note of fall and kept the gray extras to a minimum.  Overall, I'm quite happy with my Halloween DSP moonlighting as fall DSP! If you'd like to give this a try, check out the supply list below. SUPPLIES: STAMPS:  Acorny Thank You INKS:  Basic Gray, Pumpkin Pie PAPER:  Whisper White, Pumpkin Pie, Basic Gray, Halloween Night DSP ACCESSOR...

Golden Grateful

Image
There are two beautiful sets of vellum in the catalog, one of which is WINTER WONDERLAND.  It has black, gold and silver tones and is perfect for Christmas and winter cards.  But, I wanted to make a fall card with this lovely vellum and it worked beautifully! Isn't this really rich looking!  Gold is a perfect match with the Soft Suede card base. Did you notice that there's no stamping!!  This card is all about the Big Shot so it came together easily. The inspiration for this card came from the sketch challenge at Create with Connie and Mary. I love the simplicity of the design, so many options for your cards!! Once my card base was embossed, all I had to do was add a couple layers of vellum plus gold glimmer paper. With all the gold,  I needed a bolder greeting that would stand out.  "Grateful" die cut in Early Espresso did the job quite well.  It was bold enough to stand out, but it still was cohesive. This would be a lovely card in Christmas colors, you could make a...

Creation Station Blog Hop: Thankful

Image
Welcome to the CREATION STATION BLOG HOP!  This is my first month on the team and I am super excited to be a part of this AWESOME group of stampers! We are using fall sets this month with a THANKFUL theme and our feature product is WASHI TAPE. I don't know about you, but I hoard washi tape just like I hoard designer paper.  It's been an ongoing process, but I am making an effort to use up (gasp!) the consumable supplies that I buy.  So, today I have used TONS of washi tape to show you how easy it is to actually use the fun accessories that you buy! I started out with a bunch of washi tape on my desk and thought about what kinds of fun little gifts I could make with things in my craft room.  So I dug through my drawers and came up with some coasters and tea candles. Using four colors of washi, I glammed up the plain goodies that I dug up.  The coasters are so quick to make, just apply strips of washi that overlap to the back.  I added self adhesive felt to the backs of the coast...
