Friend to Friend Fun Fold Card

Image
I have really gotten into trying out different types of fun fold cards, the newest being the tunnel card.  My upline Patty Bennett had this style of card at the last group meeting in January.  I tried out her instructions and really liked it!  Here is what I came up with using the Sale-a-bration set Madison Avenue. I used mostly Sale-a-bration items for the card.   The front features Madison Avenue and the Honeycomb EF that I can't get enough of.  I added a greeting from Teeny Tiny Wishes with a Bitty Banner Framelit.  The inside has Vintages Verses and Sycamore Street DSP.  This style of card has a big WOW factor, but was really easy to put together.  Thank you Patty for the great idea! A couple of small things to note...  I added small flowers punched from the Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack on the front of the card with pearls for dimension.  I also added a bit of color by matting the focal point on Lucky Limeade.  I hand cut t...

Madison Avenue Bold and Bright!

Image
I am really loving this Sale-a-bration set!! The stamps are so bold that the colors look beautiful when stamped on crisp Whisper White paper.  I did a card entirely with the Sale-a-bration color palette from the Sycamore Street Designer Series Paper with the Whisper White. I love how the Vine Street EF matches one of the designs of the Sycamore Street paper!  Just a touch of DSP against the white makes the stamped flower stand out beautifully!  I added a button from the Ribbon and Button pack in the Sale-a-bration catalog.  A pearl on top of the button made the flower just pop!  This card is simple and crisp and I really like the look.   I have more Sale-a-bration samples coming next week.  Tomorrow I am sharing yet another Shadowbox card (yes, number 3 this week) that I made with a retired set.  I will be starting a theme for Friday called Flashback Friday.  I make lots of cards with retired sets (I am a hoarder) so I figured I might as well...

TSSC249 Lunchtime Sketch Challenge

Image
Happy Monday!!  It's time for the Monday Lunchtime Sketch Challenge, so here we go!  Here is this week's sketch. I used Sale-a-bration stamps and DSP for my card, I have really been enjoying these great FREE products! The card base is Island Indigo with a layer of Pool Party followed by Sycamore Street DSP (LOVE this paper).  I embossed a piece of Island Indigo with Vine Street to frame the stamped flower.  I stamped the flower with the aid of my Stamp-a-ma-jig, a most valuable tool!  It helped me stamp a perfectly placed flower on the stem from the Madison Avenue stamp set.  The center of the flower is an Island Indigo flower punched from the Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack topped with a pearl basic jewel.  I added ribbon and a greeting to finish off the card.  Here is a close up of the flower. I hope you will join in the challenge with us!  Just make a card to match the sketch then go to Technostamper and link up! Mary Jo Price-Williams :...
