Welcome to another Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop!  This week we are featuring Christmas GIFT CARD HOLDERS!


I went with a fun and easy holder made from a TREAT BAG.

The vellum polka dot bag is perfect for Christmas!  I just added a belly band and embellishments.

First, score the bag 3" up from the bottom.  Fold the bag over and now you have two pockets!  I added a belly band in place of adhesive to the bag.  You want your gift card to fit in the pocket created by folding the bag over.

I embellished the belly band with a fun gift using YOUR PRESENTS and the BOW BUILDER PUNCH.  Cucumber Crush was the perfect green to pair with Real Red for Christmas!

The card insert for the holder was just as simple!  The Real Red was cut 4" x 4 1/2" to fit into the top of the bag.  I added a present to it as well.  I wanted the sentiment to be just as bold as the present, so I went with the "Merry Christmas" from MERRY EVERYTHING.  I also added in a little extra sentiment "wishing you" from HOLLY JOLLY GREETINGS.

Let's get ready for Halloween!

I don't know about you, but I love little treats and decorations for Halloween.  I am already planning out some party ideas that I thought would be fun to share! I've been busy as you can see!  It all started with the thought of doing a banner and I just kept going and going! Each piece of the banner has different stamps and die cuts from the Howl-o-ween Treat bundle and was way more fun to create than I anticipated!  The panels are each 4" x 6" with the banner end hand cut.  I am actually working on a tutorial to release next week with the instructions for the banner and the treats so you can make your own!  UPDATE: YOU CAN FIND THE TUTORIAL HERE! Now let's check out all the treats.  I wanted a variety so there would be something for everyone's taste. Preview Week Day 6 and BLOG CANDY!!

Woo Hoo!! Today is Day 6 of Preview Week and it's my turn to give away BLOG CANDY!!  I am super excited to be on the Design Team for the Spring Collection 2015 from Create with Connie and Mary. The new Occasions Catalog and Sale-a-bration Catalog are chock full of great products and we are here to give you great ideas for using them!!  Let me show you my card then I'll tell you more! I'm sure that anyone that follows my blog knows how much I love shaker cards and confetti, so I had to do one for today with a critter!!  The Cheerful Critters set is just so cute I knew it would be great as a shaker. The inspiration came from the December Paper Pumpkin kit that I have made a bunch of cards with.  It was super easy to recreate using the On Film framelits and the Best Year Ever Designer Series Paper.  The bear from Cheerful Critters was stamped and colored with blendabilities then fussy cut and glued to the front of the shaker.  A bunch of stars from the Confetti Star Punch an
